Berikut adalah senarai negara mengikut perbelanjaan ketenteraan setahun dengan menggunakan maklumat terkini yang didapati. Beberapa maklumat bersumberkan daripada Buku Fakta Dunia yang dikeluarkan oleh Agensi Perisikan Pusat Amerika Syarikat.
Perhatikan bagi beberapa buah negara, tiada maklumat yang diperolehi oleh penghimpun Buku Fakta Dunia; oleh itu negara-negara ini telah dikeluarkan daripada senarai. Akibatnya, jumlah perbelanjaan dunia bagi angkatan tentera berkemungkinan sedikit tinggi daripada yang ditunjukkan.
