A series of Cubes appear in the "Elmo the Musical" segment, "Detective the Musical."
To help show a mischievous cube that he's needed, Elmo and a Ham Actor sing a song that shows how cubes are everywhere. They are joined by various other cubes, including:

- A sugar cube (Leslie Carrara-Rudolph)
- A pair of dice (John Tartaglia)
- A block game (Carmen Osbahr)
- A Jack-in-the-box
- A brownie square (John Kennedy)
