Few musicians possess the power and mystique of Björk, who can send your brain spinning in a hundred different directions over the course of an hour-long DJ set. In this expansive mix, the endlessly curious Icelandic musician weaves through entire regions of sound, showing how local musicians are referencing and recontextualising traditional folk music in modern, club-oriented settings. You’ll hear new wave gqom from the South African trio Omagoqa, Bugandan drumming by the Ugandan techno outfit Nihiloxica and a dark-edged fusion of gabber and grindcore courtesy of Gabber Modus Operandi.
