Steer the armored Samurai VXL vehicle to help Nya and new Samurai X defeat the Vermillion warriors and capture the Slow-Mo Time Blade. This detailed vehicle features an opening minifigure cockpit, special tilting four-wheel-drive steering and six-stud rapid shooters. This great set also includes four minifigures equipped with assorted weapons to intensify the role-play battle action.

Trivia
- The new Samurai X is exclusive to this set, as is the Vermillion general Machia.
- General Machia has a tail-like addition in this set, which she lacks in the TV Show. A leg piece is also included in the set to substitute for the tail.
- This is the first to include more female characters than males, followed by 70641 Ninja Nightcrawler and 70651 Throne Room Showdown.
- This set made its first appearance in the episode "Secrets Discovered" in different colors. It made its first appearance in "Out of the Fire and Into the Boiling Sea" in its set-accurate colors.
- This is the last set to feature Nya's original face print since Possession wave, as in 70627 Dragon's Forge she received a new double-sided face print.
