Not so long ago, if you wanted to tell time, you had to look to the sun, or a clock, or your wristwatch, or ask a friend. The point is, there had to be a better solution. Something merging advanced electronics. And there is. Today, I am proud to announce... that we are changing time itself. I present to you... the BorgWatch!
Cyrus Borg to the Ninjago City citizens
The BorgWatch is a device created by Cyrus Borg.
History
Pythor's Revenge
When Dr. Saunders noticed that his thermostat had been destroyed during the Day of the Departed, he asked the ninja to find a new one for him. The ninja begged Cyrus Borg to allow them to use the BorgWatch prototype's thermodynamic temperature gauge as a substitute for Saunders' broken thermostat, to which he agreed so long as the ninja kept it a secret and returned it intact for the big unveiling of the product. However, Pythor soon found the ninja and stole the BorgWatch prototype from them, threatening to reveal it to the public. After chasing Pythor all over Ninjago City, the ninja were eventually able to get back the watch and it worked as a suitable replacement for Saunders' thermostat.
The Hatching
Cyrus Borg gave a speech about the invention of the BorgWatch until the Borg Store was attacked by a Vermillion warrior.
Acronix, who had returned from being lost in the time vortex for 40 years, grew extremely fond of Ninjago's modern technology, especially the BorgWatch.
Before Scavengers
At some point, Acronix was able to get one for himself and began wearing it on his left wrist. The BorgWatch became his favorite piece of technology.
Scavengers
When the Time Twins found themselves lost en-route to their secret lair, Acronix revealed that his BorgWatch had a built-in GPS. However, he found himself unable to actually use it because there was no service due to the Vermillion taking out the cell tower. Krux proceeded to get angry with Acronix and modern-day technology.
A Line in the Sand
After the Slow-Mo Time Blade's arrival, Acronix tried to use his BorgWatch to decipher the blade's location, but Krux kept distracting him. Krux disproved of his brother relying on technology and didn't consider it a "smart" watch. Cyrus intervened and told him about the BorgWatch's features, (a built-in GPS, a heart rate monitor, and a temporal scanner). Acronix was able to find the blade's location with the temporal scanner.
The Attack
The Vermillion used the BorgWatch to locate the Slow-Mo Time Blade's new location: the Temple of Airjitzu.
Secrets Discovered
After getting back to the Vermillion Dome, Acronix used his BorgWatch to inform his Instabook followers about their victory.
Pause and Effect
Acronix used the BorgWatch to find the location of the Pause Time Blade. On cue, the temporal vortex opens in the sky above, releasing the Pause Time Blade. As it landed, it paused all of time. Once its effects wore off, Krux claimed the Blade, with Acronix telling him that the BorgWatch worked perfectly. He then tries to get Krux to admit that not all modern technology was bad, but Krux tells him that he won't until they find the final Blade, a task which Acronix's BorgWatch can't do. As Krux returns to Machia's ship, he quietly tells himself that their mother always said Krux was stubborn.
Lost in Time
When the present changed, Cyrus noticed his BorgWatch was missing. It reappeared once the Kai, Nya, and Wu followed the Time Twins into the temporal vortex in the past.
