The Constrictai Staff is one of the Serpentine Staffs. It belongs to the Constrictai general, Skalidor, and holds a vial of anti-venom that can prevent victims from suffocating from the Constrictai grip.
When mixed with the anti-venom of the other four Snake Staffs, a white liquid is formed that, when it drips on a piece of paper, creates a map to the four Fangblades.
History
Rise of the Snakes
Can of Worms
Skalidor, along with the rest of the Serpentine generals, had his staff in his hand during their meeting to unite the Serpentine tribes.
The Snake King
At the city of Ouroboros, Pythor challenged the four Serpentine generals for their staffs and allegiance. During the battle, Skalidor attempted to strike Pythor with the staff but missed. Thanks to Skales, who had secretly given Pythor the Sacred Flute, Pythor defeated the four generals and briefly claimed their staves, demanding their allegiance before returning them as the generals bowed to Pythor.
Tick Tock
The Serpentine await for Pythor to figure how to get the map that will lead them to the four Fangblades. Eventually, the generals lose patience with Pythor and proclaim that they are taking their staves back. When Skalidor claimed the Constrictai Staff, he accidentally knocked over Acidicus, who responded by repeatedly striking the former with the Venomari Staff and instigating a fight. As Acidicus and Skalidor briefly fight, their staves were knocked to the ground and spilled their antivenom, which combined together and led Pythor to realize the clue towards discovering the Map of Fangs. Pythor then gathered all five staves, including the Constrictai Staff, and placed them facing downwards atop a pedestal, allowing the antivenom within all five to drip and produce a liquid that revealed the Map of Fangs.
All of Nothing
Skalidor is seen carrying the staff within the Serpentine's underground fortress, guarding the fangblades alongside the other generals. He would continue to use the staff in combat against Cole, and later still carried it while observing the Slither Pit duel.
Day of the Great Devourer
Skalidor had his staff while he was hiding from the Great Devourer inside the Fangpyre Tomb.
Legacy of the Green Ninja
Darkness Shall Rise
Skalidor is seen holding the staff when Skales tries to convince the Serpentine to follow him, only for them to follow Garmadon after using the Golden Weapons to create the Black Bounty. He continues to carry it when the Serpentine Generals convey in the Ninjago Metro to brainstorm ways of winning back their followers. He later holds onto it while squeezing Kai aboard one of the Metro trains while Fangtom and Acidicus fought against Zane and Cole. Following the battle, Skalidor, Fangtom, and Acidicus managed to escape, taking their staves with them as they later joined Garmadon.
Pirates vs. Ninja
Skalidor is seen carrying the staff when he, Acidicus, and Fangtom question Garmadon about the functions of the Mega Weapon. He later is seen carrying it again while standing alongside Acidicus, Fangtom, and Garmadon after they reclaim the Black Bounty from Soto and his crew.
Child's Play
Skalidor is seen carrying the staff with him as the Serpentine rendezvous with Garmadon inside the Ninjago Museum of History.
The Stone Army
Skalidor and the other generals are seen carrying their staves as they observe a duel in Ouroborus and shortly thereafter, Garmadon's arrival aboard a Rattlercopter. After Garmadon reveals his intentions of seeking the Dark Island and that he needs a "few brave snakes" to join him, Skalidor raises the staff in the air alongside Fangtom and Acidicus, with all three, and a reluctant Skales, following Garmadon back onboard the Rattlercopter in search of the Dark Island, bringing the staves with them.
The Day Ninjago Stood Still
Skalidor is seen carrying the staff with him as the Serpentine tunnel below Ninjago City, eventually reaching the Tomb of the Stone Army. As the Serpentine investigate the frozen warriors, Skalidor briefly tapped on one of them with the staff. When the Stone Army left their chamber and imprisoned the Serpentine within their tomb, the staff was presumably imprisoned alongside them.
Between Legacy of the Green Ninja and March of the Oni
Years after the events of "The Day Ninjago Stood Still," Cyrus Borg obtained the Serpentine Staffs and placed them in the vault underneath Borg Tower.
March of the Oni
The Fall
Lloyd and Garmadon pass the staff while evading the Oni.
LEGO.com descriptions
Rise of the Snakes
Belongs to the Constrictai General, Skalidor. Holds a vial of anti-venom which lets you breathe again if you have been squished by a Constrictai.[1]
Rise of the Snakes (Museum)
Snake staff of the Constrictai tribe and a symbol of the power of the Constrictai general. It is designed to look like a snake wound around a pole, with the black and white symbol of the Constrictai on the snake’s chest. It is one of five staffs in existence, one for each Serpentine tribe. Concealed within the staff is a vial of anti-venom, which allows the user to continue breathing even when caught in the coils of a Constrictai. When the anti-venom is combined with that of the other four staffs, it creates a white liquid which provides a map to the location of the Fangblades.[2]
