Our best tactical position is to make our stand where it bottlenecks: here, at the Corridor of Elders, the monuments honoring our ancestors. It's the narrowest channel, but our greatest chance.
Master Wu to the ninja and the Elemental Masters
The Corridor of Elders is a canyon in Ninjago that features a series of towering monuments, which were built in commemoration of some of Ninjago's greatest ancestors. It is also the narrowest canyon in the Echo Canyons. The canyon played a pivotal role in the Second Serpentine War, as Wu chose it to be where the Elemental Masters would make their final stand against Chen and his Anacondrai Cultists. With help from Ninjago's citizens, the Elemental Masters fought Chen's army before Garmadon sacrificed himself, releasing the spirits of the Anacondrai generals who cursed Chen and his followers and banished them to the Cursed Realm. Afterward, a statue of Garmadon was erected in the Corridor of Elders, in remembrance of him and his sacrifice that ended the war.
After Nadakhan framed the ninja for a series of crimes, they spread out across Ninjago and tried escaping the police. However, Ronin set off to capture them, journeying to the Corridor of Elders to find Kai and Nya. A chase ensued before Ronin captured them—yet due to Jay's final wish, recent events were undone and they never hid at the Corridor of Elders. On the Day of the Departed, Lloyd and Misako went to the Corridor to commemorate Garmadon. While there, they were attacked by a vengeful Pythor, who fought Lloyd before fleeing after realizing he couldn't win the battle.
History
Years ago
The Corridor of Elders was one of the wonders created by the First Spinjitzu Master. As part of their father's training, Wu and Garmadon traveled to the Corridor of Elders to see the statues.[1]
The Corridor of Elders
As the Second Serpentine War raged, Wu and the Elemental Masters determined that they should make their stand against the Anacondrai army at the Corridor of Elders, given that its narrow channel would be the best tactical position. The ninja rallied local villagers and citizens to help them, so by the time, Chen's Anacondrai Cultists arrived (hoping to rest at the canyon) a small army had amassed to met them.
Following the battle, a statue of Master Garmadon was erected in the Corridor of Elders to honor him for his sacrifice.
Public Enemy Number One
Ronin tricked Kai and Nya to come to the Corridor of Elders in order to trap them, which he succeeded in.
Day of the Departed
For Day of the Departed, Lloyd and Misako went to the Corridor to pay respects for Garmadon. They were eventually attacked by Pythor but claimed victory when he retreated.
