The crab tooth[1] is a mystical tooth designed for the crab monster, endowing it with the ability to control anyone it desires.
History
Gangs of the Sea
At some point in time, someone bestowed an ordinary crab with the Crab Tooth, causing it to enlarge in size and gain the abilities of mind control and firing concentrated beams of energy through the tooth.
The Crab Monster used the Crab Tooth to mind control the Ocean gang through the use of the Control crown and forced them into seizing control of the algae farmers' village, facilitating its insatiable appetite for consuming all the algae within the vicinity. After driving out the villagers, the crab fired a beam of energy from the tooth to push their escape craft far away from the village.
Some time later, two ninja arrived at the village, seeking help to repair their ship, which had sustained damage. The Crab Monster responded immediately by attacking the pair, using its connection to the control crown through the crab tooth to order the Ocean gang to "destroy the interlopers."
During the evening hours, some time after its initial encounter with the ninja, the Crab Monster encountered the two again, the pair having brought back the exiled villagers in an effort to reclaim their village. Using the tooth, the Crab Monster dictated orders to the Ocean gang and participated in the fight itself, firing beams of energy. The battle ultimately ended after Lloyd struck the Crab Tooth, dislodging it and causing it to sink into the sea. With the source of its power gone, the crab monster shrank back to its original size and fled back into the ocean.
