Early life
Lloyd is the son of Lord Garmadon and Misako. The soon-to-be dark lord was filled with pride for his newborn son and wanted Lloyd to follow a different path from his own.[1] The family was happy for a short time, but one day Garmadon finally lost control over the evil within him and was banished to the Underworld. Lloyd was too young to remember Garmadon,[2][3] or his mother,[4] but he had heard of and was fond of his evil father, wanting to follow in his footsteps,[5] unaware that Garmadon did not.
Once Lloyd was old enough, Misako sent him to the Darkley's School for Bad Boys. However, Lloyd was still too young to remember his mother.[4] On Lloyd's first day at Darkley's School, everyone made fun of him, and a student named Brad put fire ants in his bed. After everyone left, however, Brad took Lloyd under his wing and taught him the art of revenge.[6]
Lloyd would often have dreams where he had conversations with his father. He also received letters from his mother, and while he loved hearing about her adventures, he was frustrated that he never got concrete answers as to why she was away.[7]
When Lloyd was less than ten years old,[7] he received a package from his grandmummy when another student named Finn took it from him and turned it into worms.[8] Lloyd was expelled from school that same day because he didn't have the "amoral ambition to become one of tomorrow's masterminds."[9] Before he left, he stole a cape and hood from a closet, planning to become an evil overlord by himself.[8]
Rise of the Snakes
Rise of the Snakes
Lloyd appeared in Jamanakai Village, throwing toy snakes at the residents and demanding their candy. When the ninja arrived, they were surprised to see a boy instead of the fearsome Lord Garmadon, prompting Lloyd to explain that he was the dark lord's son. He threatened to unleash the Serpentine on the ninja if they didn't surrender, but the unimpressed heroes hung him on a sign, where the irate villagers pelted him with fruit for his trickery.
Eventually, Lloyd escaped swearing revenge on the ninja. He ended up wandering into the icy Glacier Barrens, where he stumbled upon a strange tomb. Curious, Lloyd opened the tomb and fell inside, where he met the Hypnobrai, a tribe of real Serpentine. The Hypnobrai General, Slithraa, attempted to hypnotize Lloyd, but the would-be evil overlord slipped on the icy floor, causing Slithraa to stare at his reflection in the ice. Thus hypnotized by his attack, Slithraa accepted Lloyd as his master, and Lloyd immediately ordered the Hypnobrai to Jamanakai Village to take his revenge.
With the Serpentine at his side, Lloyd quickly subjugated the village, stealing all of its candy for himself as the Hypnobrai mesmerized the villagers. When the ninja returned, Lloyd watched the battle until the ninja managed to steal Slithraa's staff, prompting him to call a retreat.
Home
Lloyd commanded the Hypnobrai to build him a treehouse fortress within Wildwood Forest, planning to use it as a base from where he can conquer the rest of Ninjago. However, the ninja attacked and began cutting the support ropes, causing it to collapse. Lloyd ordered the Hypnobrai to fight back, but Skales betrayed him by dropping him into one of his own booby traps. With Lloyd as their prisoner, the Hypnobrai raided the Monastery of Spinjitzu and burnt it to the ground, reclaiming their staff in the process.
Back at the Hypnobrai Tomb, Lloyd tried to convince Slithraa to make the others free him. However, Skales defied his General's command, challenging him to a Slither Pit for leadership. During the fight, Lloyd found the Map of Dens in an ice crevice and surreptitiously pocketed it while cheering Slithraa on. Unfortunately for Lloyd, Skales' superior fighting skills allowed him to defeat Slithraa and become the new General. With his authority, Skales banished Lloyd from the tomb, forcing the would-be evil overlord to wander Ninjago once again.
When the ninja moved into the Destiny's Bounty, Lloyd sadly looked on from a distant dune, glaring at his enemies before continuing his own journey.
Snakebit
Plotting revenge against the Hypnobrai, Lloyd decided to find another Serpentine tribe to ally with. He released the Fangpyre from the Fangpyre Tomb and requested their aid against the Hypnobrai. Although the General, Fangtom, was more than happy to agree, he admitted that they would need to bolster their forces to stand a chance against the Hypnobrai. To this end, the Fangpyre led Lloyd to Ed and Edna's junkyard, where they bit Ed, Edna, and several vehicles.
The next morning, Jay and the other ninja arrived at Ed and Edna's Junkyard to visit Jay's parents, only to find the latter slowly transforming into snakes. Lloyd appeared with Fangtom atop a junk pile as the Fangpyre attacked the ninja, laughing as the heroes were beset by the Fangpyre Wrecking Ball and the Fangpyre Robot. When Master Wu attempted to use the Sacred Flute against the Fangpyre, Lloyd used a Serpentine boom box to drown out the melody, brushing off his uncle's demands to turn down the music.
Despite this, the ninja defeated the Fangpyre forces, prompting Lloyd to call yet another retreat. To his dismay, the ninja created vehicles of their own from their Golden Weapons, allowing them to catch up to the Rattlecopter and retrieve the Fangpyre Staff to return Jay's parents to normal. When Lloyd led the rest of the Fangpyre against the Destiny's Bounty, the ship took flight and escaped, although not before accidentally dropping the Fangpyre Staff on Fang-Suei's head.
Never Trust a Snake
With the Fangpyre forces bolstered, Lloyd led the tribe against the Hypnobrai. Unfortunately, he was betrayed by Fangtom after the latter saw his old friend Skales in charge of the Hypnobrai, but he managed to sneak away while the Generals debated over what to do with him. Having overheard Skales' mention of the Anacondrai being the most powerful and fearsome tribe of all, Lloyd sought out the Anacondrai Tomb within the Sea of Sand.
Upon opening the tomb, Lloyd was greeted with a roomful of skeletons. The Anacondrai General, Pythor P. Chumsworth, appeared and explained that his tribemates had starved to death, and he was the last survivor. Although disappointed at the lack of minions, Lloyd asked Pythor to work for him against the other Serpentine, and the latter agreed, due to Lloyd releasing him from the tomb. The villainous duo proceeded to engage in several shenanigans around Ninjago (including stealing candy, trespassing on grass, and other mischiefs) before Pythor suggested attacking Darkley's as payback for Lloyd's expulsion.
Lloyd and Pythor proceeded to invade the former's former boarding school, holding his former classmates hostage and setting up booby traps for the ninja. Despite this, the ninja eventually cornered them on the roof, where Pythor showed his true colors and stole the Map of Dens. Lloyd protested this action, but Pythor mocked his attempt to control the Serpentine before vanishing from sight, leaving Lloyd to be apprehended by the ninja.
With Lloyd in their captivity, the ninja planned to give him a severe punishment, only for Master Wu to take a different approach: reading a book to Lloyd and welcoming him aboard the Destiny's Bounty. Although the ninja questioned this course of action at first, they soon realized that Master Wu was trying to turn his nephew away from the dark path he had chosen to follow, and Lloyd soon agreed to work with his uncle against the forces of evil.
Can of Worms
Though no longer actively attempting to be evil, Lloyd retained a mischievous streak, which he expressed by performing various tricks against the ninja: beating all of Kai's high scores in Fist to Face 2 and blaming Cole; putting extra spices in Cole's Violet Berry Soup and claiming Jay was behind it; tinkering with Jay's sparring bot and saying Zane did it; and putting Kai's clothes in Zane's laundry, turning the latter's suit pink. He even stole Master Wu's lesson book, forcing the old master to improvise a lesson when he broke up the ninjas' argument. Before anything further could be done about Lloyd, Nya called the group to the bridge, revealing her findings on the locations of the remaining Serpentine tombs. While Cole and Zane investigated the Constrictai Tomb, and Kai and Jay went to search the Venomari Tomb, Lloyd was forced to stay on the ship and clean up the mess his pranks had left.
Unfortunately, the ninja failed to stop Pythor from releasing the remaining Serpentine tribes, with Lloyd blaming himself for starting the trouble by unleashing the first three. Master Wu comforted him by reminding him that the past cannot be changed, only the future, and the ninja subsequently redeployed when Serpentine activity was detected in Ninjago City.
After a successful mission to prevent Pythor from uniting the Serpentine tribes, the ninja were eating dinner when Lloyd arrived, having finally washed the pink out of Zane's ninja suit. He apologized for his pranking and gave Cole a can of nuts, only for the Black Ninja to refuse, believing it to be another prank. In doing so, however, Cole ended up walking into Lloyd's real prank—a pack of rubber snakes in the fridge—and Lloyd joined the others in laughing at the success.
The Snake King
At the Destiny's Bounty, Lloyd is showing the ninja how he would attack a Serpentine. The ninja correct him excessively, and Lloyd asks Master Wu what the best way to defeat a Serpentine is. He tells the group that it was the Sacred Flute that Pythor stole and that without it he is afraid that they will have a hard time fighting off the Serpentine. The alarm goes off and alerts the ninja to Serpentine activity at the Mega Monster Amusement Park and Lloyd quickly offers to tag along, but Master Wu tells him to stay aboard the ship.
Later on, Kai, who is patrolling Ninjago City for signs of Samurai X, drops Lloyd off at the Kiddie Arcade, much to Lloyd's protest. As Kai speeds off, Lloyd overhears the Serpentine being convinced to travel to the Lost City of Ouroboros. Lloyd dons a snake costume and follows the snakes on to a bus to the city. After a long drive, they reach the city, which is resting in the Sea of Sand. They all pile into a colosseum, where Pythor is announcing a Slither Pit. He tells the Serpentine that if he beats all the Generals at once, he wants their complete, undivided loyalty. Skales, who is secretly supporting Pythor, gives him the stolen Sacred Flute, which he uses during the fight. Lloyd notices this, yet continues to watch on regardless. Upon winning the fight, Pythor demands the Serpentine to bow, but Lloyd accidentally drops a part of his disguise in the process, alerting the Serpentine to his presence and allowing himself to be captured.
The ninja, back at the Destiny's Bounty, are complaining about their failed attempts trying to capture the Samurai. Master Wu comes in, noting that Lloyd is not present. Kai tries to deflect the blame to Cole, who then tries to place it on Jay. Master Wu, who is utterly afraid of what might have become of his nephew, tells the ninja to go find him. The ninja begin to track down Lloyd, following security camera footage and footprints, and they discover he has been captured at the Lost City of Ouroboros. Although they try to rescue him, they are forced to flee, leaving Lloyd behind with the Serpentine.
The Royal Blacksmiths
Lloyd was brought along when the Serpentine went to the pyramid in search of the second Silver Fangblade. Realizing that the pyramid is full of traps, Pythor forced Lloyd to find the Fangblade for him. Although Lloyd narrowly managed to make it to the center of the pyramid, he discovered that the Fangblade was missing. He reported this to the Serpentine, who presumably extracted him from the pyramid before continuing their hunt for the Fangblade.
The Green Ninja
Lloyd was brought along when the Serpentine discovered the third Fangblade in the volcano behind the Fire Temple. As Pythor excavated the artifact, the ninja arrived, along with Lord Garmadon, who had allied with them in order to save his son. During the resulting battle, Pythor had a group of Constrictai burrow into the volcano to destabilize it, and the snakes carried Lloyd on their way out of the volcano. Before the Serpentine could escape, Lord Garmadon attacked them, successfully freeing Lloyd. Unfortunately, another tremor caused part of the ledge to crumble, leaving Lloyd stranded on a rock in the increasingly-unstable sea of lava.
As Lloyd floated on his perch, he saw Kai trying to retrieve the Fangblade as everyone else escaped. He begged Kai to help him, giving him a moment of indecision, but the Red Ninja eventually agreed, leaving the Fangblade to sink into the lava as he pulled Lloyd from the sinking stone. As the volcano erupted around them, Kai unlocked his True Potential at last, using his new abilities to shield himself and Lloyd as they flew back to the Destiny's Bounty.
Once the ship was safely away from the eruption, Lloyd was finally able to reunite with his father, who thanked Kai for the rescue. As Kai explained that he unlocked his True Potential by realizing his destiny was to protect, not become, the Green Ninja, the Golden Weapons began to glow. When held in front of Lloyd, the weapons floated in front of him and crackled with green lightning, revealing that Lloyd himself was the Green Ninja. Lloyd's surprised pleasure soon turned sour, however, as Lord Garmadon realized that this meant he would have to fight his own son in the final battle for control of the realm of Ninjago.
All of Nothing
On the Destiny's Bounty, Lloyd discovers Lord Garmadon attempting to steal information on the ninja while the group is out on a mission, and the two argue. The two are interrupted, however, when Nya attempts to call in, requesting reinforcements. Lord Garmadon attempts to answer her plea but Lloyd, in his frustration, tells his father that they do not need his help and to leave instead. Lloyd dresses up in his Green Ninja suit and sets out to help his friends.
Lloyd arrives at the Serpentine's underground fortress but is powerless to help his allies. Just before he is captured, however, Lord Garmadon arrives with the Skulkin Army who battle against the Serpentine. Lloyd frees the ninja from their cage, and together they steal the four Fangblades and return back to the Destiny's Bounty where Lord Garmadon departs, leaving Lloyd upset, but proud of his father.
The Rise of the Great Devourer
During a storm on the way to Torchfire Mountain, Lloyd was training below deck on the Bounty when Pythor appears. He tied the struggling boy to the training equipment and duct-taped his mouth shut. Lloyd eventually managed to free himself and warn the ninja that Pythor was onboard, but by then, the Snake King had already hacked the ship's system. Lloyd ran on deck to confront Pythor, who had by then taken the fang blades. Lloyd attempts to battle the snake, to which Pythor critiques his childish fighting skills. Lloyd explains, though, that he was only trying to distract him, and it is then that Nya in her Samurai suit arrives. The Serpentine general escapes, though, and Lloyd and Nya watch as he flies off on a Rattlecopter. Lloyd is told to stay on the Bounty while the others chase Pythor to the Lost City of Ouroboros, and he flies the ship there right behind them.
Day of the Great Devourer
Lloyd and his friends bore witness as the Great Devourer rose from Ouroboros and began terrorizing Ninjago. After attempting to thwart it, they formed an unlikely alliance with Lloyd's father, who destroyed the Devourer with the Golden Weapons before departing with them. After finding Master Wu mercifully alive, Lloyd recognized that he would eventually have to face his father to save Ninjago, but was comforted by his friends.
Legacy of the Green Ninja
Darkness Shall Rise
With the Devourer defeated, the ninja found themselves with a new problem: the loss of the Bounty during their battle with the Devourer meant that they no longer had a place to live. While Nya and Wu left town to find parts for the Ultra Sonic Raider, Lloyd, and the others sought out a new living arrangement, and after visiting a tiny dwelling were shown a massive apartment that seemed perfect for their needs. Unfortunately, the older ninja became so busy working so that they could afford the new home that they were unable to train Lloyd. Worse yet, Lloyd was _targeted by the Serpentine Generals for abduction in an effort to regain leadership of the tribes after they sided with Lloyd's father. Fortunately, Nya and Wu arrived in time to save him, and the other ninja soon chose to relocate to the smaller apartment they had been shown earlier.
Pirates vs. Ninja
The next morning, Lloyd trained with the ninja in their apartment, though they soon realized their situation was unsuitable to properly prepare him for the final battle. After Lloyd learned from Nya that the Ultra Dragon would belong to him, the ninja began searching Ninjago City and soon came across Grand Sensei Dareth's Mojo Dojo where they made an agreement with Dareth to train there.
Their first session there proved successful as Lloyd was even able to use the power of the Scythe of Quakes without the Golden Weapon. As the ninja exited the dojo, they were surprised to find the Destiny's Bounty passing by, rebuilt and commandeered by pirates. The ninja boarded a city bus to pursue, though they refused to let Lloyd come along. Undeterred, Lloyd summoned the Ultra Dragon and used it to rescue Dareth as he fell off the flying vessel. The Green Ninja then jumped onto the ship and joined the ninja during their fight against the pirates. Amidst the battle, Lloyd was able to unlock Spinjitzu for the first time, though with his powers still uncontrollable, he accidentally destroyed the ship's mast.
Double Trouble
The Ninja later received an unexpected letter from Lloyd's old school, claiming that they wished to honor Lloyd with a degree in response to his decision to become good. However, it turned out to be a trap orchestrated by Lloyd's former classmates, who had taken over the school after it had changed to good. Lloyd's classmates attempted to turn him back to the dark side, particularly after the evil ninja arrived looking to destroy their heroic counterparts. However, Lloyd helped them all to realize that each of them was secretly good, and they joined forces to help the true ninja defeat their evil clones.
Ninjaball Run
While attempting to balance on one hand while also balancing his allies on top of himself, Lloyd's training was interrupted by a wrecking ball smashing through the wall of the dojo. Learning that Dareth's dojo was scheduled to be condemned due to unpaid bills, his allies realized that Lord Garmadon was behind the plan, in hopes of leaving the ninja with nowhere to train. To save the dojo, the ninja decided to enter the annual Ninjaball Run, which offered a substantial amount of money for the victor.
Lloyd entered the race astride the Ultra Dragon, while his fellow ninja entered in the Ultra Sonic Raider. Although they were left in the dust early on (due to sabotage by Brad and Gene), they quickly began to close in on the competition as they entered Crashcourse Canyon. Lloyd was so busy trying to catch up, he didn't realize that Lord Garmadon had entered the race until the Ultra Dragon bumped into the Black Bounty, ruining its shot on the Raider. Following this incident, Lloyd and the other ninja decided to work together to get in the lead.
As the competitors entered Birchwood Forest, Lloyd flew the Ultra Dragon high into the sky to look ahead. He spotted a shortcut for the Ultra Sonic Raider, only to be yanked out of the air by the bone hand of the Skull Truck (although this also caused Kruncha and Nuckal to crash). The ninja were forced to carry on without Lloyd while he tended to the rattled Ultra Dragon.
After the Ultra Dragon recovered, Lloyd flew back to Ninjago City, where the ninja had narrowly defeated Lord Garmadon to win the race. Noticing that the Black Bounty was unoccupied, Lloyd landed the Ultra Dragon on the ship and claimed it for the ninja once more. Unfortunately, Garmadon escaped when Skales turned up in the Serpentine Bus, but Lloyd was still able to share a hearty laugh with his friends as Dareth gleefully celebrated their victory by diving into the large, money-filled trophy.
Child's Play
Soon after, Lloyd watched some children play ball in Jamanakai Village as the Bounty flew past, but was ordered by the ninja to train soon after. Shortly into their training, however, Nya reported that Garmadon had been spotted at the history museum, though Lloyd was forbidden to accompany them as usual.
The next day the ninja still had not returned and though Lloyd was supposed to be reading a training manual, he instead read an issue of Starfarer when Master Wu and Nya left to search for their missing comrades.
Still awaiting word from the ninja, Lloyd turned to play video games around the time he received a phone call from Jay ordering the Green ninja to Buddy's Pizza and to bring their weapons. Lloyd obeyed and was stunned to discover upon arriving that the other four had been turned into kids by Garmadon's Mega Weapons. Worse, the weapon had also awoken a Grundle which was now after the ninja.
Seeking help to defeat their foe, Lloyd brought the other ninja to Doomsday Comix where he asked Rufus McCallister for advice. Determining that Illumiswords would be needed in stopping it, Lloyd entered in the Fritz Donnegan trivia battle-royale to win them. The Green Ninja made it to the final round, but as he had not read the latest issue of Starfarer, he lost to another fan.
It was then that the Grundal attacked and the ninja bravely protected the other fans present. Wu and Nya soon arrived with Tomorrow's Tea and gave it to Lloyd to use on the Grundal. The ninja urged him not to use it as it would also turn the Green Ninja older as well, causing him to lose the rest of his childhood. Accepting it as his fate, Lloyd used the Tomorrow's Tea, thus destroying the creature but aging him significantly as well.
Wrong Place, Wrong Time
In his new teenage form, Lloyd discovered that he had become a far more efficient ninja, learning quickly and displaying a new motivation for training. He rapidly became skilled enough to battle all four of his peers simultaneously, although he still made the occasional basic error. After one such error—concentrating on blocking Kai's sword, allowing the Red Ninja to pull the blade away and cause him to fall—Lloyd expressed regret for not taking his training seriously before the Grundal incident, but Master Wu assured him that they could only change the future, not the past.
One day, the Falcon returned to the Destiny's Bounty with troubling footage—Lord Garmadon and the Serpentine were back in the Lost City of Ouroboros, apparently preparing for a final battle. Lloyd accompanied the ninja, Nya, and Master Wu to the city that night, where they confronted Lord Garmadon. Lloyd jumped in as his father tried to use the Mega Weapon, firing an ice beam to freeze the tip of the staff. He took Garmadon's shock at his older appearance in stride, commenting that he'd "grown a little" since their last meeting. Before the heroes could attack, Lord Garmadon fled, leaving a group of Serpentine soldiers to attack them.
The ninja quickly defeated the snakes and pursued Lord Garmadon, only to find an empty room and a strange portal before them. Suddenly, the City of Ouroboros began to sink into the sand, and Lloyd realized that he could not feel his hands. Everyone realized that Lord Garmadon had traveled into the past, attempting to negate Lloyd's destiny by preventing the ninja from becoming a team. As the other four ninja leaped into the portal to stop Garmadon's time tampering, Lloyd joined Nya and Master Wu in fleeing the city before they were buried alive.
Lloyd presumably returned to the Destiny's Bounty and waited for his friends. During his wait, his destiny was repeatedly altered by the actions of the ninja and Lord Garmadon in the past, causing him to disappear and reappear aboard the ship. Eventually, however, the ninja managed to restore the past to its original form by destroying Garmadon's Mega Weapon with the Golden Weapons of the past.
When the timestream repaired itself, the ninja were taken back to the previous night, at the beginning of their training session with Lloyd. Lloyd himself arrived late but barely had a chance to apologize before the other ninja hugged him, visibly relieved. He was puzzled by their talk, wondering why he wouldn't be here with them, and his confusion only grew when they began speaking of Lord Garmadon's Mega Weapon—its destruction in the past had erased his memories of it. Eventually, however, the ninja told Lloyd not to worry about the past and prepare for the future, although Lloyd still felt like he was missing some sort of joke.
The Stone Army
On a Wednesday morning, Lloyd and the other ninja were met by Master Wu who informed them that the Ultra Dragon made a mess outside. Though Lloyd played a game of rock, paper, clams against the other ninja, he ended up having to clean up the mess outside. However before he could take care of it, Nya rushed in and told the ninja of an emergency at the Ninjago Museum of History.
When the ninja arrived, the museum's director revealed to them that the Great Devourer's venom had seeped into the sewer system and leaked into the museum and brought the Stone Warrior merchandise to life. The ninja then dealt with the little miniatures, though they made a mess in the process. Once finished, they met up with Wu who had stumbled upon Lloyd's mother, Misako. Still enraged that she left him when he was young, Lloyd stormed off into another room to be alone.
Misako eventually found Lloyd sitting at the edge of a bottomless sinkhole exhibit, where she Misako explains that she abandoned him in order to learn everything about the Green Ninja prophecy, knowing that Lloyd would be the Green Ninja and wanting to stop him and his father from fighting the final battle. She then told him of the First Spinjitzu Master's battle with the Overlord.
Then, while the Museum Director showcases the new Stone Warrior Statue exhibit, some of the Great Devourer's venom drips from the ceiling and onto the exhibit, bringing it to life. As Misako tells them that there is no hope to prevent Lord Garmadon and Lloyd's fight, the Stone Warrior starts rampaging through the Museum and confronts the ninja. They try to fight it off, which was ineffectual, and they are forced to flee the room and run through the museum as they try devising a plan to defeat it. They stop inside a large room and close the doors, and as the Stone Warrior begins to break it down, Lloyd suddenly comes up with a plan and tells the ninja to distract it. Lloyd leaves the room and the Stone Warrior breaks in.
At the museum, Misako decides to help Lloyd by leading the Stone Warrior to Lloyd's location. After she meets up with him, Lloyd manages to trick the Stone Warrior into stepping over the fake floor paneling, revealing the giant sinkhole where it was unearthed. Once the warrior falls, Misako tells Lloyd that she is proud of her son, and when Master Wu arrives he asks her to stay with them, to which she accepts.
The Day Ninjago Stood Still
Lloyd was training to fight without using his eyes (messing up Dareth's Dojo in the process) when Ninjago City was hit by a strong earthquake. The ninja saved a woman who was trapped by the collapsing street as Misako realized that, according to the prophecies, the earthquakes are a warning. Soon after, an army of Stone Warriors emerged from underground (accidentally awoken by the Great Devourer's venom and released from their tomb by Skales' Serpentine) and wreak havoc over the city. At Master Wu's instruction, Lloyd and the other ninja held off the warriors as best as they could while the citizens evacuated to the roof of the NTV office building.
The Last Voyage
The ninja sail to the dark island via flightless Destiny's Bounty. Along the way, they run into a storm and ship-eating Starteeth. When the storm passes the ship (without a rudder and a hole in the side) runs ashore on an island with a prison tower. When the ninja reach the top, Dr. Julien greets them and takes them in. Inside, he seats them and haves a robot serve them tea. There, Dr. Julien tells Zane what happened after his apparent death.
After Dr. Julien turned off Zane's memory switch, he really did pass away, but Samukai revived him with a special elixir, and in return, requested that he create the Skeleton Army's vehicles. When Dr. Julien refused, Samukai locked him in the prison tower with a Leviathan to keep guard, promising the doctor if he did what he said, he would see Zane again. However, the time elapsed.
After he finished telling his story, the Leviathan comes and sends out a tentacle with eyes to check on Dr. Julien, while the others hide. After it goes away, Dr. Julien and the ninja work together to fix the Bounty's rocket boosters.
As the Bounty takes off, the Leviathan grabs the ship. Zane jumps into the water and frees the creature from its chains using star teeth. Freed, the Leviathan lets the Bounty go, and the ninja all sail off back to Ninjago.
Island of Darkness
The ninja finally arrive on the Island of Darkness, where the Stone Army is preparing for the final battle. Lord Garmadon oversees the army's mining of Dark Matter, pure evil in the heart of the island, in order to build a superweapon that can turn the tide of the war.
On the Destiny's Bounty, the ninja learn that the Temple of Light is where they can receive their elemental powers and where Lloyd can gain the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master technique: the Golden Dragon, a fighting style practiced only by the First Spinjitzu Master. In order to do this, the ninja must use a medallion to find the temple, where Lloyd must strike the Instrument of Peace. The ninja prepare to head out, but Master Wu tells Lloyd to stay behind—they cannot risk starting the final battle early by having him encounter his father. The master also tells his pupils to remain stealthy at all costs, as Garmadon does not yet know they are here—unbeknownst to the heroes, the Overlord has sensed their presence and tells Lord Garmadon to find them before they can reach the Temple of Light.
Dr. Julien and Nya begin building new vehicles for the ninja: a power drill for Cole and a robot for Kai. As the Stone Army searches the island and Master Wu, Misako, Dr. Julien, and Lloyd guard the hidden Bounty, the ninja infiltrate Lord Garmadon's camp, only for Zane to rush off when he notices his Falcon. He retrieves it but is spotted and the other ninja have to save him. Running from the army, they narrowly escape and go back to get the machines. On the bright side, Jay was able to find the Temple of Light by aligning three lights with the holes in the medallion - the temple is at the top of the island's highest mountain.
With their new vehicles, the ninja head for the Temple of Light, barely keeping ahead of the Stone Army. Inside the Temple, they find pictures on the walls depicting their journey from the past until the present. Further in is a great bell, hanging above a strange design on the floor bearing the Ninja's symbols. Realizing that it's the Instrument of Peace, Lloyd strikes it, causing a light to shine on him and beams of energy to reflect off crystals in the walls. Soon, the entire room is crisscrossed with beams, and one hits a pillar, making it glow brightly. At the foot of the pillar, Kai's armor transforms, and a Dragon Sword with the power of Fire appears in his hand.
In rapid succession, Zane, Cole, and Jay undergo similar transformations, regaining their powers over Ice, Earth, and Lightning, respectively. As their swords manifest blades representing their respective elements, Lloyd rises into the air. The ninja use their swords to send their elemental powers to Lloyd, who glows brightly as a golden dragon appears for a split second. When the light fades, Lloyd lands on the ground, wearing a new suit similar to the other four ninja, and with his true powers unlocked.
The Stone Army finally marches into the Temple, but the ninja are more than ready for them - using their new elemental powers, they easily trounce the warriors. Kai beats up some soldiers within a ring of fire, Jay electrocutes a whole line of enemies with a single touch, Zane tricks a group of his foes into turning themselves into an ice pillar, and Cole swallows his opponents in a mound of dirt. Finally, Lloyd summons the power of the Golden Dragon, creating a brilliant light that frightens the remaining stone soldiers into retreat.
Lloyd's powers cause a golden dragon to appear on the roof of the Temple, roaring mightily. From the Bounty, Master Wu and the others celebrate, knowing that their friends have succeeded. Atop the mountain where the Celestial Clock resides, Lord Garmadon comments that the Stone Army isn't as invincible as they thought. The Overlord is unfazed, telling Lord Garmadon that their strength grows along with the ninja; the Ultimate Weapon will be completed just as the Celestial Clock reaches the end of its countdown. The Overlord assures Garmadon that the Ultimate Weapon will ensure that nothing will prevent the triumph of darkness, as the Celestial Clock's hands get ever closer to the skull emblem marking the time of the final battle.
The Last Hope
Back at the beach, Dr. Julien repairs the Falcon, while the ninja celebrate their restored powers by shooting down coconuts. The party is interrupted by Master Wu, who chastises the ninja for their unseemly mirth; they may have the power to defeat the Stone Army, but the Celestial Clock is still counting down to the final battle between light and darkness. At that, Misako reveals a way to at least delay the battle: if the Helmet of Shadows is returned to its pedestal, the countdown might stop long enough for them to gain an advantage. Risking everything, the ninja disguise themselves as Stone Warriors and escort Misako to Lord Garmadon's camp. As General Kozu takes Misako to his master's tent, the disguised ninja are put to work carrying Dark Matter to the superweapon. The weapon is surrounded by a wooden wall, but the ninja notice one protruding detail—a very large cannon—and ponder what Garmadon plans to attack with it.
Meanwhile, Misako appears before Garmadon, who notes that the Stone Army would never be able to catch her—unless she wanted to be caught. Using her husband's lingering affection for her, Misako convinces Garmadon to remove the Helmet, allowing her to steal it. At the same time, the ninja are discovered when Cole attacks a Stone Soldier, forcing them to fight their way back down to the entrance as Misako rejoins them.
Before the group can flee, an enraged Garmadon stomps onto the scene, piloting a massive, four-armed robot that proves invulnerable to the Ninja's new elemental powers. Luckily, Nya arrives in the Power Drill just in time, explaining that the repaired Falcon saw that they needed her help. The ninja make their escape with Misako and Nya, but the Stone Army pursues them until the Overlord reminds Lord Garmadon that the ninja could turn the army against him if they don the Helmet. Unknown to the villains, Jay has done just that, only to quickly remove it when the others point out that he could be corrupted by the dark headgear.
When the Power Drill emerges in the jungle, Garmadon is quick to pursue. After a frantic chase that ends in the Power Drill being disabled momentarily, Garmadon goes for the kill, only for Lloyd to blast it with his powers. Lord Garmadon emerges from the wreckage, weakened and vulnerable; from the Power Drill, the ninja encourages Lloyd to finish him off. Despite everything at stake, the Green Ninja is unable to strike the fatal blow, forcing him to jump aboard the Power Drill as the ninja make their escape from the advancing Stone Army.
At the Celestial Clock, the ninja meet with Master Wu and desperately look for the Helmet's pedestal with minutes to spare. As the Stone Army arrives, the ninja find the pedestal and replaces the Helmet, but it's one second too late; the countdown has ended and the final battle is upon them. As the clock fires a mighty energy flare inland, the Stone Army captures Nya and the ninja are sent down into a crevasse. Surviving the fall, the ninja head off to prepare for the final battle, with Jay angered at Nya's capture and Lloyd ashamed of his hesitation. Meanwhile, Lord Garmadon sees the laser aimed at his camp and demands to know what is going on. The Overlord tells him that their superweapon is complete and his to command. The two villains return to the camp as the energy from the clock forms a sphere, completing the ultimate weapon of the forces of darkness: the Garmatron. Lord Garmadon declares that it's more beautiful than even he could imagine, and joins the Overlord in laughing in anticipation of their imminent victory.
Return of the Overlord
Lloyd was still dejected over the prospect of fighting his father, but Master Wu reminded him that it was his destiny as the Chosen One—all of Ninjago depended on his victory. Misako added that Lord Garmadon is just as reluctant at the prospect of battling his son, and the other ninja pledge their assistance in the final fight. Reinvigorated by his friends' support, Lloyd led the charge on Lord Garmadon's base camp, only to find it deserted. Realizing that Garmadon plans to use his ultimate weapon to corrupt Ninjago itself with darkness, Lloyd resolved that they can't let Lord Garmadon fire a single shot.
With the other ninja battling a Dark Matter-corrupted Nya, Lloyd, Misako, and Master Wu ran to the shores of the Island of Darkness, where Lord Garmadon was preparing to fire his first shot. They begged Garmadon to reconsider his path, but he insisted that the only way they can be together again is if he corrupts the entire world with the same evil that has consumed his being. With the Garmatron warming up its main cannon, Lloyd jumped aboard to confront his father; however, General Kozu pinned him down long enough for the Garmatron to fire. Lloyd attempted to summon his powers to break free, but Lord Garmadon activated a trap door that drops both the Green Ninja and the Stone General out of the Garmatron.
With more of Ninjago being darkened by the moment, Lloyd lamented his failure, but Master Wu assured him that he did his best. Moments later, Lord Garmadon underwent a gruesome transformation as the Overlord began manifesting in the mortal realm again; Master Wu explained that the Overlord has possessed Lord Garmadon's body. Misako warned her son that the Overlord will show no mercy, but the recently-arrived ninja offered their support once again - with renewed determination, Lloyd led them in attacking the Stone Army.
Lloyd himself leaped atop the Garmatron and challenged the Overlord to battle. The Overlord knocks Lloyd off of the tank. Their battle continues on the beach, briefly clashing with energy beams before Lloyd dodges and blasts his foe into the jungle. The Overlord quickly recovers and flies above the trees, delivering a brutal tackle that sends Lloyd flying. The Overlord gloats that he can keep this up for eternity, but Lloyd is alone—in response, Lloyd removes his mask and asserts that his father will never hurt him. Lord Garmadon briefly asserts himself from within the Overlord, begging Lloyd to stay strong—the Overlord's confusion and shock gives Lloyd an opportunity to take the offensive. As they clash with their energy beams once more, Lloyd calls out to his father, whose struggles cause the Overlord to falter. As Lloyd pushed his power to the limit, the Overlord roared that his father was gone. This remark unnerved the Green Ninja for a second, leaving him defenseless for the Overlord's next strike. He was quickly trapped in a sphere of dark energy by his foe and hurled him across the beach, knocked unconscious by the fall.
Later, Lloyd awoke and asked if he won as he struggled to his feet. Wu informed him that while he had been defeated, he was still alive. As the Green Ninja stumbled about confused about the prophecy, he noticed a plank for the Bounty with the symbol for "destiny" inscribed on it. Lloyd notes to the others that while they lost the fight, they haven't yet lost the battle.
Rise of the Spinjitzu Master
Although Lloyd's injured leg was bandaged by Dr. Julien, he was still left with a noticeable limp as he regrouped with his disheartened allies. He encouraged them to keep fighting, despite the hopelessness of their situation, and succeeded in restoring the heroes' morale just in time for the Falcon to arrive with new information.
Hitching a ride on Kai's Fire Robot, Lloyd and his friends returned to the Temple of Light, where they activated a hidden mechanism that revealed the Golden Mech. When Lloyd sat in the cockpit, his powers as the Chosen One restored the ancient machine to fighting form. With the Ultra Dragon's arrival to the Island of Darkness, the group was able to return to Ninjago City, only to find it infected with Dark Matter and ruled by the Overlord, now restored to his monstrous true form.
While his allies drew the Stone Army's fire airborne, Lloyd charged the fortress from ground level and burst through the outer wall with the Golden Mech. He was quickly brought down by Nya, forcing the ninja to drop down to aid him against the Stone Army. Despite their fighting prowess, the heroes were almost overwhelmed by the Stone Army, only to be saved when Dareth donned the Helmet of Shadows and took command of the ancient soldiers.
Lloyd proceeded to ascend the tower with the other ninja, only to watch them fall victim to the Overlord's corruption. With his last ally -Kai- occupied with distracting Nya, Lloyd was forced to limp up to the top of the tower alone, where the Overlord was waiting. Despite the seemingly impossible odds, Lloyd boldly challenged the dark dragon, creating a shield of energy to block the Overlord's dark flames. Summoning all of his strength and resolve to win, Lloyd unlocked the full font of his hidden powers, becoming the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master.
In his newly-empowered form, Lloyd proved to be a match for the much larger Overlord, blocking his enemy's blows and retaliating with mighty punches and kicks that sent the beast flying off the tower. To pursue the Overlord, Lloyd summoned the Golden Dragon, which he used to carry the Overlord high over Ninjago. Infuriated, the Overlord enveloped Lloyd and his mount in a massive sphere of darkness before attempting to eat them, but Lloyd concentrated his powers within the dragon's mouth, releasing an explosion of light that obliterated the Overlord.
In the aftermath of the Overlord's defeat, all of his creations and corruption vanished. Lloyd reunited with his allies in the crater left by the Garmatron's disappearance, but his jubilation was muted by his sorrow over the apparent loss of his father. No sooner had Misako comforted him, however, did Garmadon himself reappear, purified of both the Overlord's possession and the Great Devourer's venom. After a moment of bewilderment, Lloyd happily welcomed his father back, before leaving with Garmadon and Misako to catch up on the family bonding time that had been denied for so long.
After the Final Battle
Following the Overlord's defeat, Lloyd traveled across Ninjago accepting medals and achievements as the Golden Ninja for his victory.[10] His father also abandoned the title of Lord and began going by Master Garmadon, swearing an oath of nonviolence.[11] Lloyd realizes that the Ultra Dragon is feeling homesick. They flew to the Spirit Coves and Lloyd chose to set him free to their realm.[12]
Rebooted
The Surge
Lloyd heard word from Nya that the ninja were in trouble, and raced to New Ninjago City on his Golden Elemental Dragon to help. He used his Golden Power to temporarily disable the Security Mechs and reunited with the ninja. Their reunion was quickly interrupted by the revived Digital Overlord, whom Lloyd declared that since he defeated him once, he could defeat him again. As the Security Mechs powered up, the Overlord stated that he didn't want to fight, he only wanted the Golden Ninja's power. Lloyd prepared to attack the mechs again but was stopped by Wu who realized that the golden power was only making them stronger. Their master then ordered the ninja to flee the city while he tricked the Overlord, and Lloyd rode the Golden Dragon away.
The Art of the Silent Fist
Heading to his parents' monastery with the others, Lloyd was given a new green gi by Nya that would disguise him from the Overlord's facial recognition software. The group then visited Garmadon during a lesson, and Lloyd volunteered to face his father in a demonstration of the Art of the Silent Fist. Garmadon easily avoided his son's blows, and Lloyd let his temper get the better of him and nearly unleashed an elemental blast. The monastery was then attacked by the Overlord's new Nindroids, whom Lloyd was unable to battle effectively due to his Golden Power granting them greater strength.
After managing to escape, the heroes split up: the ninja setting out to shut down the Wind Farms Power Station that energized the Nindroids and the rest of the Overlord's machinery, while Lloyd and his father sought to get as far from New Ninjago City as possible. To that end, Lloyd and Garmadon traveled to Nya's Samurai X Cave and used her car to accelerate their travels. Unfortunately, while passing through the Rice Fields, they were attacked by the Overlord's Nindroid MechDragon, and only escaped due to the ninja and Nya accomplishing their task. With no power, they continued their journey on foot, fearing that the Overlord might still pose a threat.
Blackout
Father and son found themselves traveling through the mountains, where Garmadon tried to impress upon Lloyd that he had potential beyond his Golden Power, including the ability to move mountains. However, Lloyd expressed little interest in learning the finer nuances of the powers he possessed as the heir of the First Spinjitzu Master, being content with the abilities granted him by his Golden Power. As the two continued their journey, however, they came across a Ravture nest with a chick in it, and Lloyd angered both his father and the adult Ravture by attempting to aid the youngling when it fell out of the nest. However, Lloyd then used his power to move mountains, much to his father's pleasure. Unfortunately, the Falcon then arrived with news that the Overlord was still at large, and the duo made their way towards Hiroshi's Labyrinth. Unbeknownst to them, this was part of their enemies' plans, and they began to zero in on the Garmadons' location.
The Curse of the Golden Master
As Lloyd and his father made their way through the labyrinth, Garmadon tried to impress upon Lloyd the importance of safeguarding the Golden Power. He warned him that his friends might one day seek it for themselves and that he would eventually have to carry the burden without even his father beside him. Lloyd became despondent at the thought, and his father encouraged him with the legend of the Jewel of the Labyrinth, an oasis that had supposedly never been seen within the depths of the jungle maze. The pair eventually came across it, only to be attacked by a force of Nindroids led by Master Wu, who had been turned into an evil cyborg by the Overlord.
While his father engaged Wu, Lloyd used his powers to produce an elemental cycle that he used to try and escape. Unfortunately, his father was captured by Wu and taken aboard the reactivated MechDragon, and his attempt to rescue him was thwarted by a hooded figure. The stranger then threw back his hood to reveal a horrifyingly familiar visage: Pythor, who had survived being eaten by the Great Devourer but had his scales bleached due to nearly being digested. The villains then took Lloyd aboard the MechDragon and dumped his father overboard, leaving Lloyd thinking his father had drowned.
Enter the Digiverse
The Overlord wasted no time in beginning the process to drain Lloyd's Golden Power, a process that left Lloyd badly weakened. However, he was somehow contacted by Zane-and contacted him in turn-while the ninja were attempting to erase the Overlord from within the Digiverse. The ninja managed to reboot the system, causing the MechDragon to crash and freeing Lloyd, who soon made his way to a small village. He was soon contacted by the other ninja and their allies, which-to his amazement-included his father.
Codename: Arcturus
Realizing he couldn't hold the Golden Power by himself anymore, Lloyd decided to return to the Temple of Light to distribute it back to the four ninja, thus restoring their elemental powers.
As the ninja began their search for Pythor and his Nindroid forces, Lloyd used his bike to search the Toxic Bogs, then continued to the Glacier Barrens but no avail.
Lloyd eventually returned to Borg Tower after Kai had been captured by Pythor, and brainstormed with the others what Project Arcturus—the codename for a plan the Anacondrai intended to launch that very night—could be. They soon realized that he intended to use a rocket to retrieve the Golden Weapons to make the Overlord into the Golden Master, and raced to Ouroborus to stop him.
Upon reaching the Serpentine City, the four ninja located the rocket and freed Kai, though they were unable to stop the launch. Desperate to stop the Golden Master, Lloyd convinced the other ninja to stow away with him on the rocket.
The Void
Shortly after the rocket entered space, Lloyd and the other ninja came into contact with Wu, Nya, Garmadon, and P.I.X.A.L. who had returned to Borg Tower and recovered the rocket's blueprints. After Zane secured the other ninja spacesuits, Lloyd leads them towards the cockpit to take command of the vessel. However before they could reach it, Cryptor dispatched several Nindroids to stop them while he piloted the rocket into the tail of the comet.
When Lloyd and the other ninja awoke, they found themselves on the comet not too far from where Arcturus had landed, though Cryptor had taken the launch key. Lloyd discovered lunar rovers in the cargo hold and the ninja set out crammed in one to find where the Nindroids had gone. They soon arrived in a large cave where the Golden Weapons had landed, though before they could reach the launch key, the ninja fell under attack by a swarm of extraterrestrial beetles. The Nindroids used this to their advantage to escape, but Lloyd and the others pursued, only to arrive at the launch site to find Arcturus destroyed by the bugs, thus stranding them on the comet.
The Titanium Ninja
Still trapped on the comet, Lloyd laments that he failed. Garmadon, and Wu, reassured him, and the ninja decided to use the parts of the rover to create their own rocket. Once they got back into Ninjago, they used their Elemental Shields to survive the landing.
P.I.X.A.L. managed to coordinate their vehicles. They got a message from Cyrus saying he's at the Temple of Fortitude with something that can help them defeat the Overlord. However, the ninja were separated from everyone else when they decided to help Nya after she crashed. However, they also lost their vehicles when they crashed, and decided to run towards the temple instead.
Once there, a shield is put up, and Cyrus reveals the object: a pill that can shrink the Overlord. The ninja put on the
Stone Warrior armorto defend themselves against the Overlord.
When Nya arrived, the ninja went for the Overlord, but Lloyd was concerned when he attacked the citizens. However, the Serpentine offered shelter to the people, so they continued guiding the Masters. They hit the pill towards him but failed when Pythor swallowed it instead. He trapped the ninja in his web of Golden Power, and with no other choice, Zane charged after him. The ninja are released but were surprised to see Zane has touched his Golden Armor. They took cover under a manhole but once they came back out, they grieved over their loss.
With the Overlord defeated, the citizens of Ninjago attended Zane's funeral and honored him for his sacrifice.
A Team Divided
A few days after Zane's sacrifice, Lloyd and the others went to Chen's Noodle House but were kicked out when Jay and Cole got into another fight with each other.
Lloyd went to help Cyrus Borg, who he learned was setting up a holographic training system designed to emulate the Nindroids. Lloyd agreed when Cyrus asked if he and the others could help with Borg's system when it was fully set up, though he neglected to mention that the team had split up.
Weeks later, Lloyd had become complacent and was scolded by his father, who found him watching television for hours. Lloyd and Garmadon noticed Jay on TV as a game show host, which inspired the Green Ninja to start getting the team back together.
Lloyd visited Nya at Wu's Academy, where he was told of a rumor that a fighter called the "Red Shogun" was participating in Slither Pit matches at Yang Tavern. To locate Cole, Lloyd used a hound to sniff out the Earth Ninja based on one of his socks. Lloyd planned to set out and find the ninja after doing the test for Cyrus, and he would invite each of them to Chen's Noodle House again to begin reuniting the team.
Tournament of Elements
The Invitation
Lloyd defeated Cyrus' Nindroids in the simulated mission to obtain a replica of the Golden Armor to test of the security was strong enough. To Wu's dismay, Lloyd was the only one of the ninja to show up for the training exercise. Lloyd set out to gather his scattered teammates, finding Jay hosting his game show and distraught over his apparently ended relationship with Nya. After informing him that Nya still spoke of him, he invited Jay to come back to the team. He then found Cole working as a lumberjack and persuaded him to come back despite the rift between him and Jay.
Last of all, he visited Kai taking part in Slither Pit battles, where Kai felt guilty over surviving while Zane had perished. After telling Kai that he had to let go of his self-centeredness, which manifested in this and in his previous need to be the Green Ninja, he invited him to return as well. The four ninja met at Chen's Noodle House, where Lloyd's suggestion that they look for a replacement for Zane was met with outrage by his colleagues. A handful of thugs then began menacing the cashier, and after beating them the Ninja were led out into an adjacent alley where they found a note saying that Zane was still alive and that they were invited to take part in Master Chen's Tournament of Elements.
Following the invitation's instructions, Lloyd readied for the trip as his father came to him asking for help on the Destiny's Bounty. Lloyd told him he was going fishing with his friends before asking if there were others with powers like him and the others as Garmadon question his reason for wanting to know. Lloyd retracted his question and didn't tell his father about Chen, before leaving forgetting to bring the fishing rod. Lloyd met up with his friends at the docks where they wondered if all those gathered with them have powers like them as well.
As the Ninja were about to depart on Chen's ferry, Garmadon arrived having figured out Lloyd's intention trying to stop his son from going to the island but Lloyd stated it was about Zane and he had to go. Garmadon then decided to join them by knocking off one of the boat's workers as he recognized and introduced the Ninja to Clouse, Chen's right-hand man.
Once aboard, Garmadon revealed that there were other fighters with Elemental Powers descended from other Elemental Masters.
Only One Can Remain
Arriving at Chen's Island, Lloyd and the other Ninja learned more about Chen and his history with Garmadon: the villain had once been Garmadon's sensei before betraying the humans of Ninjago during the Serpentine War. Lloyd noted that his father had never told him about this previously, and Garmadon responded that it wasn't until Lloyd had saved him that he had turned from his darker path. The Ninja and the other Elemental Fighters soon learned the nature of the tournament: a series of ever-changing rounds that would eliminate the competitors. The first round soon commenced, with Lloyd and the other fighters seeking to retrieve Jadeblades, with the one who lacked a blade by the end being eliminated from the tournament.
Clouse attempted to sabotage Lloyd during this round, but his father's intervention enabled him to survive. The Ninja soon set out to locate the missing Zane, meeting up in Kai's room before finding a way into the hidden catacombs within Chen's Palace. Jay and Kai discovered and made use of a peephole to observe rival competitor Skylor, something that Lloyd disapproved of, and are stunned to discover that she was apparently an Elemental Master of Fire. The group then disguised themselves as Anacondrai Cultists and discovered that Chen was out to steal the Elemental Masters' powers for his Staff of Elements. Barely escaping detection and the Anacondrai serpent, they managed to return to Kai's room.
Versus
As the tournament progressed, Lloyd and his father observed matches between the other Elemental Masters, including the bouts between Kai and Ash, Master of Smoke, and Neuro and Bolobo. During the latter, Lloyd discounted his father's comments about Neuro's abilities, fully believing that the Master of Nature would triumph. However, the Master of Mind proved to be the more formidable of the two. The Ninja then faced the misfortune of having the roster switched so that Cole and Jay wound up as opponents. Hoping to avoid this, Lloyd and his friends approached Neuro for help, though he resists because they were competition but Lloyd let him read his mind. Neuro was able to learn that Chen and his cult were collecting the Elemental powers as Lloyd tells him it was only a matter of time before his powers were taken. Lloyd convinced Neuro to try and read Chen's mind.
Much later, Neuro reports he was able to read Clouse's mind and see that Chen needed the powers for an unknown spell. In the meantime, Lloyd and the others tried to convince Jay and Cole to at least fight honorably. The advice worked, and their friendship renewed, the pair refused to finish the battle. However, when they were left with a choice of both being eliminated or one forfeiting, Cole allowed Jay to take the Jadeblade and move on.
Ninja Roll
Following Cole's elimination, the Ninja observed the bout between Skylor and Jacob Pevsner, during which they learned that Skylor was the master of Amber. Unfortunately, they soon had a new problem to deal with, as Chen took away everyone's privileges and blamed it on the Ninja. Lloyd told his friends not to worry about them as they were there to save their friends but Garmadon warned them that their treatment would end up making them more enemies if they kept it up.
After a failed attempt to sleep on super-hard beds, they were summoned to the next bout: Lloyd's match against Chamille. The pair were pitted against each other in a game of Thunderblade, with the other participants free to aid or sabotage them as they would. Still angry with the Ninja, most of the participants sided with Chamille as the Ninja saw that Garmadon was right to tell them they should better treat the other competitors. The round continued and soon the other Ninja convinced them of Chen's nefarious intentions. Thus aided, Lloyd claimed victory and advanced to the next round.
Spy for a Spy
Fearing Chen's growing power, the Ninja took some comfort in their growing alliance until Chen convinced the others that the Staff of Elements was intended as a prize for the winner of the tournament. Things begin to look up when Nya, who had infiltrated the island by posing as one of Chen's Kabuki (due to Dareth), informed them that there was a spy in the alliance. The Ninja soon receive a fortune cookie from Skylor that says Cole has found Zane and the two were going to break out soon. While Lloyd looks over at Shade believing that he is the spy.
The team then set out to discover who the spy was but could do nothing to confirm their suspicion that Shade was working for Chen.
Spellbound
The next round of the tournament saw Lloyd and the others being dispatched to capture Nya, who had been discovered by Chen's forces and been forced to go into hiding on the island. While aboard Chen's blimp, they were dropped with a set of parachutes, but Garmadon's presence left them with one too few. Lloyd and his father both got a hold of a parachute as Garmadon said it was an easy choice as Lloyd agreed and deployed the parachute for his father who was shocked.
A few seconds later, Lloyd tried to summon his Energy Dragon and struggled at first however, after getting the nerve he succeeded, saving himself.
Lloyd then landed in the forest where he met up with his father. They traveled for a good while and soon discovered that Nya had left a false trail for their foes but Samurai X symbols for the benefit of her friends.
During their search for Nya, Lloyd tried to summon his dragon but his father had him conserve his energy for the time being. They traveled for a while and Lloyd learned of his father's history with Chen and Clause, including an occasion on which he had signed his name on a love letter Wu had written to Misako which caused her to fall in love and marry leading up to Lloyd's birth. Learning that his father had never told his mother or uncle this, Lloyd encouraged him to come forward as Garmadon promised to do so.
Later on, they soon find Nya and are told that everyone else were captured by Chen. Lloyd then learns Chen's true plan, which is using one of Clouse's spells, to transform his cult into a new Anacondrai Tribe.
The Forgotten Element
Confronted with the capture of all the other Elemental Masters, Lloyd found himself facing the seemingly impossible task of assaulting Chen's Fortress with only Garmadon and Nya to back him up. They soon attacked the fortress, and Lloyd went ahead while his father and Nya dealt with Clouse and the other minions. After being dropped into Chen's catacombs by a trap door, he was attacked by the Anacondrai serpent and then apparently betrayed by Kai, who led him into a battle with Chen. With only his power over Energy against Chen's entire stolen collection of Elemental Powers, Lloyd was left on the ropes, and soon met defeat. Lloyd was soon brought before Chen to be drained of his powers, and questioned why Kai had betrayed him. Kai began to reassure him, but was forced to bluff when Clouse drew too close.
Chen then drained Skylor and Lloyd of their powers, completing his collection and allowing Clouse to begin casting the spell. However, Skylor had seen her father for the villain he was and teamed up with Kai, who obtained the Staff of Elements and freed Lloyd. Lloyd was relieved that Kai was really acting just to get close to Chen before using the staff's power to release him. Unfortunately, the sheer power of all the elements began to overwhelm Kai with corruption, and he ignored Lloyd's pleas to destroy the staff. Fortunately, the other Elemental Masters who had escaped with Zane and Cole's help arrived with Jay, Nya, and Garmadon in tow, and the disruption allowed Kai to regain control.
Lloyd was relieved to see Zane again as Kai quickly destroyed the staff, and the Elemental Masters all regained their powers battled against the cultists. The reunited Ninja then used Spinjitzu, overwhelming and defeating the remainder of the Cultists but Chen and his inner circle escaped with Skylor as their captive. With Chen in hiding, the Elemental Masters took control of the island awaiting Chen's next move while they do so Lloyd and the others laugh at Zane's new modifications.
The Day of the Dragon
Lloyd and his allies turned their attention to locating Chen and his remaining forces but proved unsuccessful in doing so though they assure Kai they would find Skylor. They soon move out when told by Griffin Turner, that Skylor has escaped and Chen has decided to use her power to complete the spell. Lloyd uses his dragon to search the island but he cannot locate Skylor or Kai. He returns to the camp and reunites with his father (who defeated Clouse) but things take a dark turn when Garmadon collapses in pain transforming into an Anacondrai which makes all the witnesses realize Chen succeeded in casting the spell using Skylor's Elemental Powers, and he and all his minions were transformed into Anacondrai. Lloyd is sad at his father's transformation but Garmadon assures him that he was always on his side.
After a brief battle in which they easily dominated the Elemental Masters, the new Anacondrai forced the masters to retreat to the Palace. While there Lloyd prevented Jay from attacking his father explaining what happened to him before they see Chen and his followers departing the island to invade Ninjago. Having destroyed every other mode of transportation capable of getting them home, the Ninja and their allies despaired, with Lloyd volunteering to go after them. A worried Nya question thought of action with Lloyd noting that he was the only one who possessed an Elemental Dragon. It was then that Zane arrived with his own newly discovered Titanium Dragon, revealing that Lloyd wasn't the only one anymore. Zane explained that he needed to face his fear to do so just as Kai and Skylor arrived on the Elemental Fire Dragon supporting Zane's word. They explained that each Elemental Master could summon one so long as they faced their fears. Armed with this knowledge, the Elemental Masters summoned their dragons and began flying back to Ninjago with Lloyd carrying his father on his dragon as the latter stated words of encouragement to fight Chen.
The Greatest Fear of All
Using their dragons, Lloyd and the other Elemental Masters-along with Nya, Garmadon, and Dareth-made their way back to Ninjago. To their surprise, the new Anacondrai had not yet attacked, and Skylor and Garmadon began to revert back to normal. Making their way back to the Samurai X Cave, they reunited with Misako and Wu and began preparing for Chen's feared assault. Seeking answers, they turned to the one Anacondrai remaining: Pythor, an inmate of Kryptarium Prison. Their old foe was understandably reluctant to aid them but eventually agreed on the condition that they return him to his normal size. Two of Chen's Anacondrai came looking for Pythor, and Jay, Kai, and Cole fight off the cultists, Lloyd stays with the others. When Zane realizes the cultists are seeking Pythor for his essence to complete their transformations, Lloyd realizes they have to keep Pythor away from the cultists since he is vital to them.
Lloyd joined his father and Wu in attempting to escape the prison with Pythor while the Ninja engaged the Anacondrai. During this effort, they learned that Chen had lied to both sides during the Serpentine War in order to manipulate the conflict to his own advantage. Unfortunately, they were then forced to contend with the rest of Chen's Anacondrai forces. Sadly, they soon escaped with Pythor, and the others were forced to depart to prepare for the inevitable conflict. A convoy of Chen's noodle trucks soon appeared en route to New Ninjago City, only to split up and head to various settlements. The Elemental Masters, believing that the full Anacondrai army were aboard them, split up to pursue them.
Lloyd prevented one of the trucks from reaching Jamanakai Village-ironic given his own previous attack on it at the head of a force of Serpentine-and continued to pursue it as it headed away from the settlement. After bringing it to a halt, however, he made a horrifying discovery: there was only one Anacondrai aboard each truck. This left the majority of the army unaccounted for and the Elemental Masters far from the people they were supposed to defend. Overcome by fear, Lloyd lost control of his Elemental Dragon, which disappeared and failed to return at his command as he announces his fear.
The Corridor of Elders
Lloyd attempted to contact the other Elemental Masters, but as Chen had taken over the airwaves, his efforts proved futile. He was consumed by fear, which prevented him from calling upon his Elemental Dragon. The Green Ninja commandeered the noodle truck and drove off, eventually encountering Neuro. After getting a location of Chen's forces, Lloyd asked the Master of Mind to send a message to the fighters and they all soon met at the Samurai X Cave. There they conversed with Wu and Nya and determined to make their stand against Chen's army at the Corridor of Elders.
Lloyd rallied support from citizens and Serpentine at the steps of the history museum before joining the other masters at the Corridor. He created a line at the point of no return and ordered those there to hold it against Chen's forces. Though those present fought bravely, Chen's forces eventually crossed the line. While the Ninja continued fighting, Pythor arrived with the Book of Spells and asked Lloyd to bring him to Garmadon, who could end the war permanently. Lloyd agreed and took the miniature Serpentine onto the Destiny's Bounty, but was horrified to learn that Pythor's plan involved Garmadon banishing himself to the Cursed Realm to release the Anacondrai Generals. Furious when his father agreed to the idea, Lloyd stormed away and attacked Chen's forces with rage. As he fought them, Lloyd reflected on all the times he had experienced with his father and promptly returned to recite the curse that would banish his father.
The plan worked, and Arcturus along with the other banished generals promptly sent Chen and his army to the Cursed Realm. Arcturus then approached Lloyd and thanked him for his efforts in uniting the Serpentine and Humans and restoring balance to Ninjago.
Later that day, Lloyd, Misako, Wu, and the other Ninja gathered around a fire and reflected on the man Garmadon was. Lloyd proceeded to burn the spellbook and watched as workers carved Garmadon's image into the Corridor of Elders. The Ninja vowed to protect Ninjago from any threat that may arise in the future.
Shadow of Ronin (non-canon)
Prior to the events of Shadow of Ronin, Lloyd left the ninja temporarily to mourn the loss of his father. The ninja found him meditating on top of the Golden Peaks.
Possession
Winds of Change
Sometime after the battle, Lloyd and the other ninja used their Elemental Dragons to catch a Fangfish that had been terrorizing a nearby coastal village. They were successful in their efforts and soon returned to Wu's new tea shop "Steep Wisdom" where their Master asked the ninja to hand out flyers. Lloyd agreed but was summoned to the museum by the police before he could do so.
Upon arriving at the museum, Lloyd was taken by the Night Watchman to one of the backrooms where he revealed that the Allied Armor of Azure was stolen. Lloyd however discovered that the guard was possessed by the ghost Morro who proceeded to take over the Green Ninja's body since the golden weapons didn't respond to him, meaning he wasn't the Green Ninja so he decided to lure Lloyd close enough for Morro to possess Lloyd so he would turn into the Evil Green Ninja.
During Morro's battle against Kai, the Master of Fire was able to summon the Green Ninja's consciousness. Lloyd gained control of his mind for a few seconds. However, the Red Ninja was quickly pulled away by Destiny's Bounty and Morro regained control over Lloyd's body.
Ghost Story through Peak-a-Boo
Though Lloyd was only semiconscious during Morro's possession,[13] he was able to learn Airjitzu when Morro gained the Scroll of Airjitzu and picked up the martial art himself.[14]
Kingdom Come
Lloyd continued to fight Morro's possession as the Master of Wind went about his search for the tomb. During a fight for the Sword of Sanctuary between Kai and Morro, Lloyd regained enough control so that he was able to give the Master of Fire the sword before the possession took hold of him again.
The Crooked Path
Morro left Lloyd's body temporarily to instead possess Ronin to send a message to the ninja. During this, Lloyd was locked away in a cage, though he claimed that Morro would have never become the Green Ninja.
Grave Danger
Morro, is holding a weakened Lloyd ready to kill him if the ninja don't give him the Realm Crystal. The ninja find their powers returning since Morro is no longer possessing Lloyd. Kai heats up the Realm Crystal and Morro accidently drops it into the river and pushes Lloyd in it as well. Jay and Zane battle Morro while Kai and Cole go after Lloyd but Kai can't swim and Cole can't touch the water. As Lloyd drowns, Kai jumps in and grabs him while Cole pulls them both out but Morro escapes with the Realm Crystal due to ninja not being able to follow as Lloyd is too tired.
Curseworld, Part I
Lloyd and his friends returned to Steep Wisdom, only to find that Wu had sold it in order to finance new vehicles for his students provided by Cyrus Borg. The group soon set out to challenge the Ghost Warriors' occupation of Stiix with Nya leading the charge. While the other ninja provided a distraction that included Nya donning Lloyd's green gi, Lloyd attempted to sneak in and recover the Realm Crystal. After engaging Morro he managed to recover the crystal but was interrupted as he attempted to destroy it by Morro, who tried to convince him that he would lose his father forever. Lloyd quickly realized that Garmadon would have willingly destroyed the crystal, but was seized by one of the emerging Preeminent's tentacles before he could accomplish the task.
Curseworld, Part II
Lloyd found himself in the interior of the Cursed Realm, where he discovered his father imprisoned. He attempted to free his father but was told that the chains were unbreakable. Lloyd despaired over his defeat at Morro's hands, but Garmadon urges him not to lose hope, emphasizing the importance of the Realm Crystal and the imminent danger. Lloyd doubts his ability to stop Morro as he is no longer the Green Ninja, but Garmadon reassures him that it is not about the color of his attire but the goodness in his heart. Garmadon encourages Lloyd to defeat the Preeminent and save Ninjago. Lloyd worries about the consequences of destroying the Preeminent on Garmadon, but Garmadon assures him that he will always be with him and that every boy must eventually become a man, determining his own path. Donning his father's robes, Lloyd soon engaged Morro in battle again, gaining possession of the Sword of Sanctuary in the process. Due to Morro possessing the Realm Crystal, Lloyd wound up chasing him through a number of the Sixteen Realms, including the Realm of Madness, the Underworld, Cloud Kingdom, and the Wyldness.
Morro eventually returned to Ninjago alone, but he and the Preeminent were soon defeated by the remaining ninja. Wu then used the recovered Realm Crystal to open a new portal that admitted Lloyd. He revealed that the Sword of Sanctuary had enabled him to see the outcome of the battle, thus making it unnecessary for him to follow Morro back to Ninjago. Lloyd acknowledged that he didn't always have to be the one to save the day despite being the Green Ninja, especially when he had friends he could rely on for support. Wu commented on the wisdom that Garmadon's robe had imparted to Lloyd, acknowledging that he had learned valuable lessons. However, he also recognized that there was still much for Lloyd to learn before he could fully earn the title of Master. Lloyd accepted the path that lay before him, understanding that he would need to take it one step at a time. He acknowledged the destruction of the Cursed Realm and the loss of his father, but he remained hopeful, believing that they were all in a better place now. Jay was curious about the other realms and eagerly asked Lloyd to share his knowledge. Lloyd hinted at a promising future, suggesting that the other realms held great potential for them and for Ninjago as a whole.
Skybound
Infamous
Following the defeat of The Preeminent, the ninja rose in popularity and began being treated as celebrities. Although Dareth became their manager, Lloyd insisted they continue to only take orders from Master Wu. Following the discovery that Clouse had managed to escape the Cursed Realm, Lloyd and the other ninja headed to Stiix to stop him, taking a brief detour to the hospital for Lil' Nelson's Grant-a-Wish. Upon arriving in Stiix, the ninja were unable to locate Clouse and discovered to their horror that they had been framed for a crime-spree. Now wanted criminals, Lloyd and the other ninja were forced to split up to avoid detection.
Public Enemy Number One
After a brief meeting with the other ninja where they discovered that a Djinn might be behind their framing, Zane and Lloyd headed to the Library of Domu to do further research. However, upon arriving at the library, the two were ambushed and captured by Ronin, who had been paid to round up the wanted ninja. Once all six of them had been captured, they were lead onto a bus bound for Kryptarium Prison.
Enkrypted
While at Kryptarium, Lloyd and the other ninja learned from Captain Soto that this Djinn was none other than Nadakhan, a feared pirate captain whom Soto had trapped himself centuries ago. That night, Lloyd orchestrated a prison break for him and the other ninja, taking Soto along in exchange for information on how to defeat the Djinn.
Misfortune Rising
Shortly after breaking out of Kryptarium, Lloyd and Cole went to search for Misfortune's Keep and chuckled when Cole called Nya "Delara." Finding only components, they regroup at the Yang Tavern Slither Pit and is surprised when Jay objected when he said "I wish—" before seeing news of Misfortune's Keep in Ninjago. Despite their current state as fugitives, they chose to help out. As he was about to regroup with the others, the Commissioner confronts him with a taser. Raising his hands, Lloyd explained his reasons before telling him to shoot him. Since the Commissioner does not, Lloyd used the opportunity to regroup with the others, before noting Kai is not with them.
On a Wish and a Prayer
The ninja are amazed when Jay showed the remaining ninja "his" villa. They realized whoever is alone will disappear so they decided to stay in pairs. Once they take a look at the map, the ninja formed a plan to extract the Tiger Widow venom. However, the villa rumbles and, the news reporter says another chunk of Ninjago has gone missing.
The ninja are unable to retain their Dragons long enough for their trip to Tiger Widow Island, so they took a yacht. They are met with a storm along the way and used Jay as a lightning rod while Zane has to go below the deck. The rest of the ninja try to steady the ship but crashed on the Tiger Widow Island.
When they couldn't find Zane, Cole told the ninja Jay made a wish with Nadakhan. After walking, they found the Tiger Widow's nest and watch Jay try to get its venom. They are interrupted by Sky Pirates. Once Jay got the venom, they try to escape but the bridge collapsed, and Nadakhan kidnaps Jay and spilled the venom. They were distraught by this, but Nya points out he got rid of the wrong canteen.
My Dinner With Nadakhan
With the yacht destroyed and the mainland too far out, the remaining ninja are stuck on the island. They decided the best way is to build a raft, so they went their ways to collect materials.
When they were almost done building the raft, the worm creatures start to attack them and destroyed the raft. The ninja built a new one, and Nya showed them a contraption to distract the creatures. It malfunctioned, and the raft took some damage from being used as a shield. It starts to break apart when they are in the water. They see a helicopter with Ronin, the Commissioner, and the detectives, who claimed they realized they are not criminals after all. They then showed them a bottle with Jay's message in it.
Wishmasters
When Dareth brought in the Hageman Brothers to think up a plan, they decided to disguise themselves as pirates and build a Raid Zeppelin that Jay sent.
When they are done, Lloyd and Nya are confronted by Clancee while Cole went to Misfortune's Keep. He eventually left when Flintlocke announced Jay escaped. By the time Cole and Jay came back, Nya and Lloyd are already captured.
Nadakhan threatens to make the ninja walk the plank if Nya does not agree to marry him. Cole went first but saved himself when he wished Vengestone made their Elemental Powers stronger. Their powers became uncontrollable, so they had to break their ball and chains. Cole eventually wished everyone out of the ship, but they started falling, with Jay catching the venom. Nya wished the clouds can break their fall and they continue their battle. Afterward, Lloyd wished for a sword and he prods the cloud with it, making Jay and Nya fall. Nadakhan forces Clancee to wish Lloyd and Cole away, and they are absorbed into the Djinn Blade.
Operation Land Ho!
While floating around in the Sword of Souls, Lloyd would be rescued alongside his fellow friends by Jay, with their release resulting in the defeat of several Sky Pirates converging on their location.
The Way Back
Lloyd and the other ninja raced on to stop the wedding, but were too late and were forced to flee. Allying with Dogshank and Flintlocke, the ninja confront the Djinn and were able to subdue him with Tiger Widow poison. However, Lloyd, alongside the other ninja, was deeply saddened when Nya was shot with the venom as well. Luckily, when Jay made his final wish that Nadakhan was never released from the Teapot of Tyrahn, all the events and wishes made were erased, prompting Lloyd to return to normal and back to the hospital rooftop where he got the strangest sense of deja vu. When asked if they still intended to stop Clouse, Lloyd hoped that he missed his train, and joined the other ninja in congratulating Jay and Nya.
Dark Island Trilogy
Dark Island Trilogy, Part 1
Lloyd and the other ninja were summoned to the Samurai X Cave by Master Wu, who informed them that Misako and Ronin had gone missing off the coast of the Dark Island. The ninja quickly readied the Destiny's Bounty and they set off towards the island.
Upon nearing the island, however, the Bounty encountered an unnatural storm that sent the ninja flying to various areas of the Dark Island. Shortly after recovering, Lloyd attempted to take a banana from a tree but was then chased by several gorillas and quickly ran into Wu. After escaping from the gorillas by using Airjizu over quicksand, the two returned to the wreckage of the Destiny's Bounty. They spent several days repairing her and although she could not fly, the Bounty could float down the River of Darkness. Although Lloyd insisted they begin searching for his mother, Wu was adamant they sail for the Temple of Light, and Lloyd begrudgingly agreed.
Dark Island Trilogy, Part 2
As Lloyd and Wu continued down the River of Darkness, Lloyd began to succumb to the influence of Dark Matter, lashing out angrily at a swarm of oversized bugs. Although Wu tried to reason with him, as the days went on Lloyd continued to grow more and more agitated. He eventually broke down and ran off into the Jankikai Jungle to search for his mother.
He soon found Sky Pirates guarding the entrance to Digger's Deep where they were keeping Misako and the fishermen. Still, under the influence of Dark Matter, Lloyd angrily attacked them, though Zane and Cole arrived just in time to help him snap out of it. The three entered the cave, only to find Misako also under the influence of Dark Matter as she alerted the other Sky Pirates of their presence. Lloyd faced off against Dogshank, defeating her with his elemental energy which in turn freed Misako of the Dark Matter. As Cole and Zane went to procure vehicles with the help of Monkey Wretch, Lloyd and Misako helped free the fishermen. They all exited to the cave, only to find themselves surrounded by Sky Pirates. Thankfully, Cole, Jay, Nya, Zane, and Ronin arrived in their new vehicles, forcing the pirates to retreat. Lloyd jumped into the Ultra Sonic Raider and together with the other ninja, pursued the Sky Pirates towards the Temple of Light.
Dark Island Trilogy, Part 3
Day of the Departed
Lloyd and his teammates raced to the Ninjago Museum of History in order to take Dr. Saunders' tour of the new Hall of Villainy, where they saw several sculptures of fallen former foes.
They then went their separate ways for the holiday, with Lloyd and his mother Misako traveling to the Corridor of Elders to pay their respects to Garmadon. Unfortunately, they were then attacked by Pythor, who had joined forces with several villains revived by Master Yang and now sought revenge on Lloyd. However, despite Pythor's underhanded tactics, he proved no match for Lloyd and Misako and threw himself from the top of Garmadon's statue in order to escape.
Lloyd soon reunited with his friends and learned they suffered similar attacks just as Wu appears and tells them of Yang's plan of distracting them as Morro also appears confirming this. Seeing Morro again, the ninja prepare for a fight but Wu halts them and surprises them by stating Morro is on their side. Morro tells them that Yang tricked Cole into opening a rift to return to Ninjago. The ninja then realized they forgot about Cole and Wu tells them to head to the Bounty as he would most likely be at the Temple of Airjitzu. With that, the ninja head off while a redeemed Morro returns to the Departed Realm.
They are caught in a storm but call out to Cole who regains the strength to fight back against Yang. They witnessed the halting of Yang's plans and before telling Cole to go through the rift as he speaks to Yang who redeems himself by throwing Cole through the rift.
The shockwave of the rift's closure causes the Bounty to have a hard landing at the Temple. When asked if he was alright, Lloyd confirms before wondering about Cole and starts to worry about him before he emerges from behind a rock, human once more. Lloyd joins the others in hugging Cole remarking he wasn't a ghost anymore before adopting the restored Temple of Airjitzu as their new base. Later that night, the ninja, with their friends and families, gather around a fire and listen to Cole's story before lighting the lanterns.
The Hands of Time
The Hands of Time
Lloyd and the Ninja are helping Dr. Saunders clean up the museum. Cole finds a painting of the battle with Wu, and Garmadon fighting the Time Twins and tells Lloyd to check out his father. He notes that they are Ninjago's two greatest Elemental Masters, and wonders if he'll ever live up to their legacy. Zane tells them that the painting dates back about 40 years ago, during the Serpentine Wars and Lloyd asks Dr. Saunders what it is. He says that it has no historical significance, and he tells them that "in legend" the Time Twins could manipulate Time.
During Wu's battle with Acronix, a Time Blade falls from the sky causing a temporal anomaly which causes time to skip an entire minute. Lloyd and the others are walking out of the Museum when the Time Blade causes them to be displaced In the Destiny's Bounty. Zane finds out that there was an energy displacement caused by temporal energy. They also find out that the displacement came from Wu's old monastery. Lloyd suggests that they check it out, and then remembers that Wu went there—so they go there.
When they arrive, they see Acronix alone. Jay goes to fight him, and Zane tells them that it's Acronix from the painting. Lloyd points out that he should be older because the painting took place 40 years ago. The other Ninja go to help Jay and Kai accidentally sets the monastery on fire again. Lloyd orders Jay, Cole, and Kai to help him battle Acronix, and tells Zane and Nya to try and put out the flames.
Lloyd and the Ninja push Acronix back with their powers so that he apparently falls off the edge, but he actually just uses the Time Blade to move forward in time and escape.
Thinking they defeated him, they find Master Wu (who was hanging on a tree branch) and help him back up.
The Hatching
Shortly after their battle against Acronix, the Ninja meet with Wu at the Temple of Airjitzu. Wu says they can ask him anything they need to and they bombard him with questions. He tells them about the Time Twins.
After Wu falls asleep, the Ninja go back to unpacking the temple when they see on the news that a strange samurai warrior is attacking the Borg Store. The Ninja arrive at the store and roll a digital dice to decide who battles it first. Each time it's there turn, they fail at fighting it so they try doing it all at once. The fight is brought into the store, where another Vermillion appears and starts attacking them as well. However, they are more interested in Borg, and so Zane takes him away once they find their weakness and the Ninja to meet up with Zane, only to find him in the alleyway alone and unconscious.
A Time of Traitors
Back at the Airjitzu Temple, Lloyd and the Ninja are trying to figure out where the Samurai Snakes come from, and they ask Wu, but he only talks in gibberish and sleeps. Lloyd points out that Wu isn't himself and that they need to get Zane back online because he was the only one who saw where Borg went. Lloyd tells the others to reboot Zane and see what they can find out while he stays at the Temple to watch Wu.
After the others leave, Lloyd sits next to Wu while he tries to get better. Wu says that Lloyd seems upset. The former says that as a Master in training, he feels like he should be doing something. Before Wu told him what he was missing, he fell into slumber.
Scavengers
Lloyd continues to watch Wu. He leaves to get something, and Wu tells Misako that he is rapidly aging as a result of the Time Punch. As Lloyd comes back in, Wu tells Misako not to tell anyone of his condition. When Lloyd returns, Wu starts rambling and says that Lloyd should have been there when he fought Acronix. Lloyd agrees that he should have been at his side, and that he failed his Master, and that it can't happen again.
He leaves Wu's side to get the Ninja to make a plan at stopping the Vermillion. He tells the Ninja that Wu is in no condition to lead, and Lloyd steps up as Master before Kai and Jay add "temporary" and "in-training" to his title. The other Ninja want to go and fight, but Lloyd says that they need to develop a plan first, much to the dismay of the others.
Lloyd is going over a very boring plan, and Jay starts messing with him which causes Lloyd to start explaining his plan over again until Ronin and Dareth come in and say the city is under attack. The other Ninja wanted to go ahead and fight them, but Lloyd says they still need a plan. The Ninja don't want to wait, as Lloyd orders them to stay but they ignore the order and left. Exasperated at their ignoring him, Lloyd goes back to watching Master Wu.
Lloyd starts pacing around the room and his mother asks him if he's worried about Cole, Jay, and Kai. He says he's mad at them for not following his orders, and that he's worried about Wu and how he said he wished Lloyd was with him. Wu wakes up and tells him that he didn't mean he wished Lloyd was there, but the whole team. Lloyd is still upset that the Ninja didn't follow his orders and asks Wu what he should do next, and Wu falls asleep. Lloyd walks to the window and says that he made a mistake and that his mistake was being alone. He decides that he should go help the Ninja. When he sees that all the power went out, he realizes that the Ninja should be at the power plant.
He arrives before the others and tells them that he's sorry for not going with them to help stop the Vermillion. The other Ninja apologize too, and Lloyd says that they should go in there and fight the snakes. When they get in, the place looks empty. He asks Zane to detect the snakes, and he finds them disguised as office warriors. They fight the Vermillion while Zane is walking around aimlessly. Lloyd points out that the turbines in the place are just turbocharged electro-magnets, so they can use Zane to use the magnet and take the Vermillion's armor. When they've done it, they fix Zane and fill him in on everything that's happened since he fell unconscious. Then, they see on the news that the snakes are attacking Mega Monster Amusement Park. They get ready to leave, save for Jay, who goes to his parents' junkyard to make sure they are okay.
A Line in the Sand
When they arrived at the amusement park, Lloyd told Cole and Zane to defend the people on the roller coaster and for the others to spread out. After he defeated several snakes himself, he grouped up with the others and realized Jay was missing since they left for the park.
When time slowed down, the Vermillion Warriors left the park. They figured another Time Blade has arrived, and Zae gave out its location. They left and try to get there before the Vermillion do.
Nearing the Time Blade, Raggmunk threw snakes at them to make them crash. When they tried to get it, Blunck shot them with the Time Blade, slowing them down. However, they are freed right before the Vermillion could attack them.
The Army and Ninja were slowed down right when Jay came to save them. He managed to free everyone from the time bubble. They fought for the Blade and managed to escape with it by using the Blade on the Army.
The Attack
Lloyd tells Wu what happened, but didn't hear Misako trying to tell him he's sleeping.
He caught Zane, Cole, and Jay playing with the Blade and reminded them they were supposed to hide it somewhere. Wu came in and told the Ninja not to mess around and they obeyed, annoying Lloyd.
A moment later, they were attacked by Vermillion. They were easily defeated, but it regenerated into Buffmillion, which Nya and Kai were able to defeat.
Lloyd told the team they needed to go down and take out their weapons on their Dragons. The others think that's a bad idea, but he went anyway. His Dragon disappears, but he is saved by Samurai X before Kai could get to him.
Lloyd and Jay confronted Acronix just as he was about to help his brother fight Kai. Later, he switched places with Kai, and they got both Slow-Mo and Forward Blades, but it was stolen by Machia when they least expected.
They mourned over their defeat and blamed their overconfidence.
Secrets Discovered
Lloyd tells the team that if they can find the location of the Time Blade, they would be able to know the headquarters of the Vermillion Army. Since Lloyd and Zane have no way of transportation, Misako gave Lloyd his early birthday present: the Destiny's Shadow. Misako then explains Wu was hit with the Time Punch. Misako then explains Wu was hit with the Time Punch.
At the museum, Lloyd asks Cole if he has his Earth Punch under control. He confirmed it and demonstrated it, but accidentally made a hole in the wall, revealing a secret room. Cole found a door, which leads to a sewer system.
They went in and, after driving on the Destiny's Shadow, they found Skales and Skales Jr. They told them that the Vermillion are strong in numbers, and they are located in a swamp. Skales gave them a map and they drove off.
After seeing how many eggs and armor the Vermillion have, Lloyd then called Nya to inform her and Kai where they are.
Pause and Effect
Lloyd explains the plan, saying he would save Wu.
When Lloyd goes inside Wu's cell, he found it empty. He was then encountered by Raggmunk and Blunck, who had Wu with them. After defeating Blunck, Lloyd went after Raggmunk and tripped him. He tried to get Wu, who was headed for a cliff. He was able to save him but was briefly frozen from the Pause Time Blade landing on a mountain.
He brought Wu to safety, but Blunck and Raggmunk kidnapped him again.
He later met up with Zane and told him about his situation. They saw Jay and Cole being outnumbered and tried to help them.
Out of the Fire and Into the Boiling Sea
When the Ninja are being pursued by the Vermillion, they took cover in an Ice dome made by Zane. When Zane decided to save Borg, Lloyd and the others went with him. After hiding from the Army, they tried on disguises to sneak into the Dome.
Once they met Cyrus Borg, he explains he was forced to build the apparatus for the Iron Doom, allowing the Time Twins to travel through time. They were told he added a code for self-destruct but had forgotten it. Cyrus told them if he saw the panel, it would probably jog his memory back. They were about to take him, but the Vermillion stopped them. Cyrus was able to convince the Vermillion he just wanted to see if the apparatus is properly installed, but Jay blew their cover. Samurai X came and ran over several Vermillion with the Samurai VXL. Cole helped fight back the snakes as Samurai X brings Cyrus to the panel.
As they fought, Zane figured out the password, and Machia's ship arrives. Lloyd tries to fight back the Vermilion, but Acronix froze Zane, Samurai X, and Cyrus. When they were kicked off the platform, the Ninja caught them.
Lost in Time
After Ninjago returns to normal, the Ninja celebrate as Nya and Kai arrive to heal their father.
The Ninja are soon informed of Wu sacrificing himself and being lost in time, as they wonder what to do. Jay takes a stance and nominates Lloyd as the leader, as he is shocked by this sudden decision as his comrades ask for his decision.
Though initially reluctant, Lloyd then takes up the mantle with his first orders being to bury the reverse Time blade where nobody could find it. He then makes his second order no matter what, locating Wu.

The Mask of Deception
Lloyd attempts to stop a raid where six robbers steal an ancient mask. With P.I.X.A.L. as his guide, Lloyd pursued them, only able to stop one and left him to be arrested, but failed to stop the others, choosing to reunite the team. As they meet up, a man named Hutchins says the stolen mask is an Oni Mask. He also tells them he is head of security to the Emperor and Empress of Ninjago and wants the Ninja to assist.
The Jade Princess
Lloyd discovers someone in Princess Harumi's room and pursues them, only to find it was Harumi herself, making a small run to feed homeless kids. In order to escape Hutchins, Harumi gives Lloyd a hoodie before they move across town and hand out the food. Later, they talk on a bridge about their lives before noticing some punks harassing some kids, Lloyd quickly recognizing them as the Sons of Garmadon. After Samurai X scared them off, Hutchins catches the two and escorts Harumi back to the palace himself. Lloyd later eavesdrops on Harumi being reprimanded about the previous night by her parents before they exchange apologies and Hutchins, catching him eavesdropping tells Lloyd to stay away from Harumi.
The Oni and the Dragon
Since their headquarters was too out in the open, they decide to stay on the Destiny's Bounty. Before heading to question the suspect Lloyd stopped, they visit Mystake for the Tea of Truth before noticing a painting and wants to learn about it.
Lloyd and Jay stayed behind to hear the Tale of the Oni and the Dragon, with Lloyd learning his grandfather once lived there before creating Ninjago. Mystake also tells him the Oni Masks will resurrect his father, as a soulless being.
Snake Jaguar
In an attempt to look for Zane and Cole, Lloyd went to Central Station.
Dead Man's Squall
Lloyd and the ninja found Cole, who escaped along with a mysterious baby. Lloyd and the ninja later found Zane, unconscious and brought him aboard the Bounty. Later, Lloyd, Cole, Kai, and Jay tried to calm down the baby as he cried before they try to bet which hood will double as a diaper. But Harumi was able to calm him down by singing to him. He and Harumi later watched a storm cloud called "Dead Man's Squall" before they nearly kiss, but Lloyd chickens out at the last minute. They later discuss the baby's blanket, which was a map to Primeval's Eye, where a friend of his mother's Dr. Yost but never returned. When P.I.X.A.L. confessed to being Samurai X, she was soon hacked by The Quiet One and attacked them. Lloyd and Harumi ended up using her mech to escape and in the process, Lloyd broke his arm and Harumi uses the blanket as a sling for him.
The Quiet One
As they moved through the Strangler's Path, Lloyd was soon dragged by a Strangle Weed, unintentionally straightening his broken arm before Harumi rescues him and kisses him on the cheek before they continue on. They soon find a boat with the Sons of Garmadon insignia on it and take it down the Black River. As they move along it, Harumi asked if Lloyd wanted to see his father again. The Green Ninja and master told her how he had the greatest villain as his father, considering it an unusual relationship. But soon, they were stalked by a creature and when Lloyd tried to fight back, the thick hide of the creature ended up breaking his sword before they soon go over a waterfall and find a cave, leading to the third Oni Mask.
Game of Masks
Lloyd and Harumi go into the Oni Temple to find the Mask of Hatred, with the latter "accidentally" setting off a trap before finding the mask.
Since Harumi was unable to grab it, Harumi lets it slip that she knows that only someone with Oni blood can grab it. Lloyd grabs the mask and Harumi congratulates him but this results in him realizing that she is The Quiet One. Harumi admits to this and tells Lloyd her reason for resurrecting Lord Garmadon, calling him the real hero as he destroyed the Great Devourer, mocking the Ninja for their failed efforts while also revealing to him that his uncle Wu was really the baby, to his great shock. He tries to stop her from making a grab for the mask, but she puts it on and turning gray.
After leaving Lloyd trapped in the chamber, she sets off another trap, resulting in the temple flooding in an attempt to drown Lloyd. She later reunited with her comrades and they try to escape when the Ninja surround them and she taunts them over their previous belief in her before Lloyd was able to get out the cave and the creature from before attacks them.
Realizing the Ninja are distracted, the Sons of Garmadon use this to their advantage to take the Destiny's Bounty and flee with the masks. Lloyd comes to stop them but is captured by Killow and the Sons of Garmadon.
Dread on Arrival
Lloyd was brought up to the Temple of Resurrection that was among the ruins of the palace, teasingly pushed by Killow beforehand.
At the center, he was reunited with Misako and told by Harumi that she never had feelings for him before they were both were placed in a counter cell where if one cage is raised, the other is sent underwater to awaiting piranhas. The Ninja soon arrived and freed Lloyd where they stopped Harumi by using Spinjitzu.
As the members and Harumi were arrested, Lloyd hugged his mother after she was freed by an officer. As the cops praised them, Lloyd stops one from closing the back of the transport van where Harumi was.
In retaliation for her betrayal, Lloyd saw through a lie she made, saying he was right and it wasn't her who got away, he used her own words against her before closing the doors on her before the van drove off.
True Potential
As the Ninja celebrate at Dareth's bar, Lloyd doesn't feel like celebrating, due to Harumi breaking his heart before being comforted by his mother. Upon seeing the news on TV, he tells Dareth to stop the music, ruining the other Ninja's singing as they see a report on Harumi's breakout. He has Dareth take Misako and Wu to a safe place (Dareth's apartment) while they go see the injured officers. The Commissioner says the one who broke her out was Garmadon and that he was no longer the man he recognized. They soon hear breaking news that Harumi and Garmadon have taken over Kryptarium Prison and released the Sons of Garmadon.
Although he wanted to try and reason with his father, the other Ninja object, so he disables the navigation system, locks the Ninja and P.I.X.A.L. in a room and takes off for the prison. As soon as he arrived, they decide to broadcast his presence on all TVs to Ninjago as well as the fight between him and his father. Lloyd tried to reason with his father, Garmadon doesn't listen as there is no more good in him before throwing him through a wall, into a locker room, where he starts having difficulty breathing. The barely breathing Lloyd was unable to keep fighting and was knocked out of the prison. He was left on the ground, weakly breathing before losing a photo of himself and his father back when he was still good.
Big Trouble, Little Ninjago
Lloyd was given some Tea by Mystake and the help of the Ninja to get back on his feet. He lost access to his powers, however.
As soon as he was on his feet, Lloyd and Nya were about to head off to rescue Wu and Misako as Garmadon will go after them. After listening to Mystake's advice about power as well as a gift from her, they took off. They made it to Dareth's apartment where Misako had Lloyd take Wu while she and Nya hold off Garmadon. They were soon confronted by Harumi, wearing the Mask of Hatred and took off. When they end up at a dead-end, Harumi appeared and offered him a position in her gang, but he refuses before jumping onto a tram.
Managing to get Wu to his friends before Harumi grabbed him, she forced him to watch Colossus crush the Bounty and killed his friends and uncle, completely unaware that they survived, via Traveler's Tea. Stricken with grief, Lloyd sheds a few tears before he soon used Harumi's words against her again before jumping off and using Mystake's gift, which was a parachute, he was picked up by his mother, Nya and P.I.X.A.L, all grieving for their fallen friends.
Prior to Hunted
Lloyd, Misako, Nya, P.I.X.A.L., and Dareth managed to resist Emperor Garmadon's oppressive hold on Ninjago City while mourning over the loss of his friends as well as his de-aged uncle, not knowing they are marooned in the barbaric Realm of Oni and Dragons.
Hunted
Firstbourne
A week after Garmadon's rise to Emperor, Lloyd meets with Dareth is an old warehouse they are using as a base to train him. After reluctantly eating an old and moldy Puffy Potsticker that Dareth had for him, he resumed training with Nya. After trying to fight P.I.X.A.L in her Samurai Mech, Lloyd gets frustrated with not having power. Just then, Dareth returns, telling them a Sons of Garmadon battalion is coming. The team flee the warehouse and hide underneath some garbage in an ally until the group led by Mr. E passes. They then discover that they are at the place where the Bounty was crushed by the Colossus. Lloyd finds the picture of him and looks at it with sadness before finding a leaf for Traveler's Tea and alerts the others of this.
The group investigate the ship more and see half of it has disappeared, realizing that their friends were not killed, but teleported elsewhere. This gives them hope for the future. However, their enemies show up and prepare to attack, surrounding them, but Karlof punches Mr. E away as Griffin Turner and Shade appear.
After the enemies sent are defeated, a garbage truck driven by Skylor picks them up and everyone retreats.
Iron & Stone
Arriving at a garbage depot, Skylor reintroduces the Elemental Masters to Lloyd. Lloyd then asks her about her powers of Amber, which she confirms has returned and tells him that his will as well. Lloyd asks how they knew they were in danger and Mystake appears and is revealed to be the source.
Lloyd talks with Mystake asking about his friends' whereabouts and Mystake informs Lloyd that his friends were sent to the Realm of Oni and Dragons, which surprises him.
Radio Free Ninjago
Mystake and Misako encouraged Lloyd to lead Dareth in a fight against Karlof. He failed, however, and decided to infiltrate Borg Tower to make a speech to the citizens.
They infiltrate Borg Industries, which the Sons of Garmadon are using as a palace before bursting into the room where Ultra Hunt was being filmed to film the speech. As Lloyd made his speech, Harumi tried using a recording of his loss against his father to stop him. He briefly becomes haunted by the memory of losing his powers but he overcomes it after seeing pictures of those who were captured and realize they need him. Lloyd continues speaking and reveals while he may have lost his powers, he is still around and encourages everyone to fight. Lloyd ends his speech by personally challenges his father and leaves with a message, proclaiming 'The Resistance never quits!' which plays on a loop.
After some time, Killow and Harumi barge in, only to find Lloyd's group gone, but realizing the location of their base after seeing garbage trucks drive away.
How to Build a Dragon
Lloyd joins with the others in celebration of his successful speech to the people, in which Nya, Skylor, and Misako compliment his words. Lloyd goes on to ask if there are more elemental masters who could join, only to find that the rest have either been captured, become evil (Chamille), or have an unknown status. After having his idea of allying with the Serpentine shot down as well, Lloyd tries to brainstorm ideas on who else can help. Dareth hints that he can help as well, to which Lloyd agrees by asking Dareth to get refills for their drinks.
Later, Dareth comes back to tell Lloyd and the others about his "brown power" only to have a sudden urge to go and leaves. The Sons of Garmadon surround the building to prepare an ambush, unknowingly to Lloyd and the others.
The Gilded Path
Lloyd and the rest of the Resistance talk over plans to stop Garmadon, but Lloyd assures everyone that no one can stand up to his father's power. As they continue talking, Dareth rushes in and warns the team about the ambush, and the Sons of Garmadon climb down from the roof into the garbage depot. Lloyd helps Skylor and the others fight off the attackers, before being stopped by Harumi, who wears the Mask of Hatred. Skylor manages to hold off Harumi long enough for Nya to escape with Lloyd, and they get away in Nya's new vehicle. They escape with Skylor and Dareth, leaving the others behind to be arrested, much to Lloyd's reluctance.
As they try to flee the city, Garmadon spots them and uses the Colossus to chase after them, almost crushing the vehicle under the Colossus' foot. Lloyd silently pleads for his father to stop, causing Garmadon to hesitate for a moment before continuing to crush the vehicle. P.I.X.A.L. flies in to help, only to be shot down by Garmadon and later be arrested. Nya manages to get the vehicle free, and they drive off, with Lloyd watching his father until he is out of sight as they drive away.
Later, Lloyd and Nya stand in Ninjago City wearing dull brown robes, burning their ninja gi in the fire. Lloyd hesitates, telling Nya that the gi is who he is, but Nya manages to convince him to burn it, telling him that the gi never defined who he is and that they needed to get rid of anything that could give them away. Skylor and Dareth come with food from some of the kind citizens, despite Nya assuming they stole it at first. A rat soon shows up that scares Dareth, only to find it is actually Mystake in disguise. Lloyd asks the old lady how she transformed, but she pretends to not hear the question and instead becomes interested in the food.
Two Lies, One Truth
Nya bursts into a house where the remainder of the Resistance is using for shelter, telling them that it's chaos all around the place. Lloyd, desperate to know Mystake's secret, assures her that everyone's had enough food and that she should explain. She explains that she's an Oni and Lloyd questions why she's not evil because of who she is. Nya wonders aloud how Mystake even got to Ninjago from the First Realm, and Lloyd explains that she must have come through the same time that the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago. Mystake tells Lloyd that her original mission was to turn the First Spinjitzu Master to the Oni's side or destroy him. Instead, she had fallen in love with the world the First Spinjitzu Master had created, and decided to help him ever since. Lloyd asks why he can't transform if he also has Oni blood, but Mystake points out that he has been transforming the whole time, throughout his life—from a bratty child to the Green Ninja, and now to the leader of the Resistance. She says that he has one final transformation in order to endure Garmadon, one that he must discover for himself.
As night approaches, the Sons of Garmadon surround the area, looking for Lloyd. Harumi leads the search, threatening the people if they do not tell her where Lloyd is. Knowing that Harumi is looking for him, Lloyd decides not to run, but to change things up. Mystake, shapeshifting into Lloyd, leads the Sons of Garmadon on a wild goose chase before finally, Harumi is alone. The actual Lloyd confronts her, telling her that those who cannot change, cannot change anything. Harumi scoffs, pointing out that Lloyd himself has gone from the gi of the Green Ninja to a beggar in rags. Lloyd tells her that she took away his friends, so he's taking away hers, and Harumi realizes that Lloyd and the others have her surrounded.
The Weakest Link
Lloyd and the others hold Harumi tied to a chair, discussing what they should do with her. Harumi tries to mess with Lloyd, asking him how it feels that Garmadon cares more for her than for his own son, but Lloyd counters that his father cares for no one, and he only desires for more power.
Skylor and Mystake usher Lloyd, and Dareth outside, showing off what they found in Harumi's belongings- the Mask of Hatred. Skylor points out that the mask could be useful to Lloyd in case his powers never return, but Lloyd decides not to. He throws it at Harumi's feet, explaining that it's a trap and that the only reason someone like Harumi would get caught is that they allow themselves to be caught. Harumi tells Lloyd "once green, always green," causing Lloyd to spend much time in thought over her words.
On the rooftop, Lloyd tells the others that he's accepted that he may never get his powers back, and formulates a plan to get Skylor to absorb Garmadon's power so that she can control the Colossus. Mystake shapeshifts into Harumi, and Lloyd presents the disguise to the actual Harumi, who is outraged. Lloyd watches as Nya puts a gag on Harumi's mouth to shut her up.
Long after Skylor and Mistake leave to formulate the plan and Lloyd leaves Dareth in charge of watching over Harumi, he comes back to find that Harumi escaped and tied up Dareth in her place.
Saving Faith
Skylor returns to Lloyd and the others after absorbing Garmadon's power, sadly not returning with Mystake. Nya accidentally knocks down a radio, and the voices of the Sons of Garmadon confirm that Skylor was followed. Lloyd asks if Skylor can control the Colossus, and they go to the rooftop to find out.
As Skylor tries to control the Colossus, Garmadon controls it instead, sending it towards Lloyd and the others. Lloyd tries to encourage Skylor as she attempts to control the Colossus, which works for a time. Lloyd watches as Skylor uses the Colossus to knock down several of the Sons of Garmadon, including Ultra Violet and Killow, and destroying the Mask of Deception. As Skylor pilots the Colossus up Borg Tower, Garmadon takes back control and continues his own advance on Lloyd. The power begins hurting Skylor, and the team realizes that they're running out of options.
As Harumi tries to escape the Colossus's destruction, Lloyd locks eyes with her from across the city, and he watches helplessly as she is swept away by the collapsing building. Garmadon is enraged by the death of his "daughter," taking out his anger on Lloyd as he swears to bring the city to ruin.
Lessons for a Master
Still on the rooftops, Lloyd grabs Skylor's poisoned form and escapes with the others. Dareth and Nya jump down to another roof, while Lloyd hesitates, knowing that it will never work while carrying Skylor. In his hesitation, the Colossus's fist comes in to hit Lloyd, but he manages to jump on top of it, using it to make a safer landing on the next roof. Dareth helps Lloyd up while Nya does so for Skylor, and Lloyd continues carrying Skylor through the city.
As they hurry through the city streets, they come across Ultra Violet, who had been knocked away a few blocks down by Skylor earlier. Ultra Violet runs after them, intent on capturing Lloyd for Garmadon. Nya tells Lloyd and Dareth to keep going while she holds Ultra Violet off, much to Lloyd's reluctance. Lloyd and Dareth help Skylor walk as they try and find the vehicle, and Nya soon joins after beating Ultra Violet. Nya says that they should leave the city, just until everything calms down, and Dareth agrees, pointing out that Mystake said to stay alive until the other ninja return, which they still hadn't. Lloyd looks up to the sky, whispering "Where are you guys?" before following the rest of the group.
Lloyd tended to Nya as Violet tumbles after them before she collapses. As they prepare to escape, more members of the Sons of Garmadon surround them and they wonder what to do.
Green Destiny
As they fight off their enemies, Lloyd tells his group to not let up. Fortunately, a portal forms in the air and dragons appear while the riders are revealed to be the ninja. A happy Lloyd laughs that the ninja have come back and held out to see them. Lloyd is then amazed to see his uncle Wu has aged back into an adult and by his new armor.
Confronting his father with his uncle, Garmadon declares them as his enemies before they fight. The three fought with Garmadon remarking the fight fuels before knocking Wu from the battle leaving Lloyd alone. Despite them fighting, Garmadon prevented Lloyd from falling to certain death twice and Lloyd tried to talk sense into his father but Garmadon ignored it. Lloyd soon stopped fighting and resisted his father long enough by using the Art of the Silent Fist, until the latter loses his power and Lloyd regains his own, undergoing his next transformation as Mystake predicted. After refusing to use his regained powers to kill him, Garmadon warns his son of impending danger, causing him to be confused by it. As the Sons of Garmadon are loaded into a police van, Lloyd appeared and had his father arrested for his actions. The ninja were happy to see he won the battle and recovered his powers.
After Garmadon's defeat, Lloyd went back to the building Harumi died and desperately looked for her, hoping that she survived the building's collapse, unbeknownst of her myserious resurrection.[16]
Several days later, Lloyd and the ninja, in their previous gi, clean up the Palace of Secrets before Wu, now an old man again says there is trouble. But as they came out, it turned out to be a lie as the public and The Fold wanted to congratulate them as well as P.I.X.A.L., Skylor, and Dareth. Later that night as fireworks were going off around the city, Lloyd comes up to the roof to see Wu saying goodbye to the Firstbourne as she and the dragons have to leave. Lloyd then tells his uncle about Garmadon's warning and since Wu didn't see them, Lloyd proclaims that if Garmadon was right: The Oni are coming.
Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu
Master Class
Master Wu gives the ninja a review in Spinjitzu, teaching them to balance, conquering fear, focus, and teamwork. In the process of learning the lesson in teamwork, the ninja spill the painter's bowl of golden paint, which in turn covers Master Wu and Kai. Master Wu then concludes the lessons.
Green and Gold
After falling asleep while reading a book, Lloyd dreams about the fate of the Ultra Dragon. Sometime between the events of the Final Battle and before the Nindroid conflict, while Lloyd and "Ultra" were on patrol, they discovered members of the Venomari Tribe attacking a village. Lloyd jumps off of Ultra's back and summons his Golden Dragon, and the two split up to more effectively defeat the Serpentine. Lloyd and Ultra foil the attack and fly back into the air.
Ultra Dragon disappears into the clouds, and Lloyd follows it to the Spirit Coves. There, Lloyd notices that Ultra is homesick. He gives Ultra permission to return to the Realm of Oni and Dragons. Ultra then flies out of the Cove and opens a portal to its home realm, as Lloyd waves goodbye to him, sadly. It ends with the Ultra Dragon flying with the other dragons, the Firstbourne included, and outside of the dream, the sleeping Lloyd smiles.
March of the Oni
The Darkness Comes
At Garmadon's request, Lloyd went to visit him in Kryptarium, where he explains the bringers of doom are about to arrive. Lloyd then tells him he won't trust him again and left in anger.
Lloyd went back to the Monastery to find Faith resting. She told Wu that darkness swept over her home realm and that she barely escaped. He points out it might be the Oni and the ninja head to the Bounty to prepare.
While trying to defeat the darkness, the ninja noticed their Elemental Powers have no effect. They retreated, but Lloyd had to save Cole when he fell. Once they were back on the Bounty, Lloyd told the ninja that Garmadon might help them so they went to Kryptarium to release him.
Into the Breach
Once the ninja are airborne again, the ninja discussed if they could trust Garmadon. Meanwhile, he turned the engines off, and the Bounty starts plummeting toward the ground. The ninja hanged on until Zane got to the emission switch-on time. As a suggestion, Zane asked Lloyd to keep an eye on Garmadon to prevent him from causing more trouble. They both went into the cabinet, where Garmadon questioned all the photos. When Garmadon destroyed a picture frame containing a photo of his reformed self and Lloyd, Garmadon left the room, leaving his son distraught.
Zane then asked that everyone meet up at the bridge, where Garmadon proceeds to tell the ninja about how the Oni were able to enter Ninjago. They used the Realm Crystal and he would be able to go inside the dark cloud to destroy it due to being part Oni, but he would need a weapon. Lloyd then argues that they can't just let him have a weapon then let him walk away unsupervised. Since Lloyd is part Oni as well, he claimed he would also survive the darkness and decided to go with him.
When they arrived at Borg Tower, the ninja handed Garmadon a sword, but he started attacking them to activate his powers. He jumped off, and Lloyd followed. He survived the dark clouds and continued until he found Cyrus petrified. Garmadon convinced Lloyd to leave him behind or they'll slow down, but Lloyd assured Cyrus he will save him.
They then fought an Oni and entered the tower. There, Garmadon tried to shatter the Realm Crystal, but the Omega stopped him and started attacking them.
The Fall
After a brief conversation with the Omega, the trio continued fighting. Lloyd was launched into a display containing the Sword of Sanctuary. However, the sword's reflection failed; he instead went for the Realm Crystal while Garmadon distracts the Oni. The Omega explained the crystal was only the key needed to open the portal and destroying it won't do anything. More Onis are summoned and Son and Father retreated. They are surrounded but noticed the Oni feared the Golden Master's armor. They managed to escape Borg Tower but were surprised to learn the ninja had to leave with the Bounty due to a distress call. Instead, P.I.X.A.L. entered the dark clouds, and being a Nindroid, was able to save them. When she did, she noticed she was running out of fuel.
Lloyd and Garmadon are then surrounded by the Oni, but P.I.X.A.L. saved them on time. She ran out of fuel and they began to fall until the others arrived with the Bounty. The ninja then told them that Cole was gone. After Garmadon told them they are wasting time mourning, he showed them the Golden Master's armor. However, everyone was upset at him and started leaving.
Endings
The ninja landed near the monastery and Wu and Misako went to see them. The ninja told the two that Cole had fallen into the dark clouds and that destroying the Realm Crystal did nothing. However, Garmadon showed them the Golden Armor and Nya explained that they may have a chance if they reforged the Golden Weapons. After Kai finished, he gave the weapons to their respective ninja but had to give the Scythe of Quakes to Nya. A monk signals to the ninja that the Oni have arrived, and they prepare to fight.
The ninja begin to fight the Oni and are surprised to see Cole arrive. Nya hands him his Scythe, but even with him they are overpowered and retreat into the monastery. They then watch as Jay asks Nya to be his Yang, to which she accepts. Lloyd points out that they can try using the Tornado of Creation against the Oni.
After defeating the Oni, Lloyd finds himself in the Grasslands and is greeted by the Golden Dragon, as well as the First Spinjitzu Master. Lloyd bows in respect to meet his grandfather. The First Spinjitzu Master expressed his gratitude and offered to take Lloyd somewhere or to return him to his friends, with him gradually forgetting the meeting. As Lloyd reaches for his hand, he begins to regain his consciousness. The ninja were relieved and as a celebration, their allies visited the monastery and watched them make a new mural with their handprints.
After March of the Oni
Lloyd and the others arrested Killow, Ultra Violet and other Sons of Garmadon members who escaped from Kryptarium Prison and caused crime to continue his father's spirit at work after his dissappearance.[17]
The Splinter in the Blind Man's Eye
After all that had happened since Garmadon's return, Lloyd was feeling very unhappy and hoped to find solace in the legendary Wishmaster, a man in the Wailing Alps. After stopping in a tavern, Lloyd started the long trek up the Wailing Alps, being secretly followed by Clancee. He later noticed Clancee after hearing him bellow out an old sea shanty, and both worked together to take cover in an avalanche. Lloyd was buried in the snow from the avalanche, although Clancee helped burrow and dig Lloyd out.
Lloyd and Clancee continued their journey, eventually arriving at the Hanging Temple. After searching many rooms, Lloyd found a wall with the symbol of the Elemental Master of Ice. After entering the doors, they met Yana, who led them to their quarters. Lloyd still felt suspicious about the place, and sneaked out, leaving Clancee behind. Although able to hide himself, after attempting to get a better view of a commotion on the floor above him, Lloyd slipped and fell.
When Lloyd woke up, he found that he was under the care of Pokee. After a brief conversation with her, Lloyd attempted to continue his search, but was stopped after feeling Flintlocke's pistol at the back of his head. He and Clancee were later dragged to meet the Wishmaster, who revealed himself as Fenwick. Fenwick asked Lloyd to airjitzu to Cloud Kingdom, grab Fenwick's scroll, and deliver it to him, in return for his wish to be granted, which was for the good part of his father to come back.
Although refusing, Lloyd was coerced into agreeing after watching Yana be killed by Nimbus and Clancee almost killed
Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu
Wasted True Potential
The ninja, sans Jay and Zane, watch as Cole beats Zane's high score in a game called Lava Zombies. The ninja relax in a hot tub outside of the monastery, which actually turns out to be the Bell of Divinity. Infuriated, Wu puts the ninja to a test to see how long they can survive in the room with his chicken. They were able to trap the chicken, but Wu was unimpressed.
After complaining about the traps Wu set up, the ninja asked him what to do. He challenged them to a battle but were easily defeated. Once again, the chicken was released to punish them.
Questing for Quests
Lloyd appears at the beginning of the episode walking in on Master Wu's meditating. He tries it but, eventually breaks and asks for a quest tip. Master Wu denied him and sent him out.
The ninja thought about who to battle, but Zane comes up with an idea to help the Police Commissioner with stopping crimes.
The ninja rush to help him, to find no crimes, just paper cuts and cats in trees. They return back to the Monastery, where they turn on their TV to find Gayle Gossip in a news story with Clutch Powers where he has discovered a pyramid in the Desert of Doom. The ninja quickly rush over there but do not see a stone with a snake carved on it.
A Rocky Start
The ninja rush around the Monastery, packing to prepare for their quest. Before they head off, P.I.X.A.L. introduces the ninja to the hangar bay. They quickly head off with the Land Bounty and two other vehicles.
In the Land Bounty, Zane informs the ninja about Beohernie, although Jay thinks the people mispronounced his name and should be called "Bernie." Cole discovered an oasis to stop and have lunch. Zane continues talking about the desert, and Cole leaves to get food, but the basket sank to the ground. The ninja rush to their vehicles and are able to outrun Beohernie; however, it isn't at the cost of losing one of the key compartments the Land Bounty needs.
The Belly of the Beast
Lloyd and the others are trapped while Zane attempts to repair the Land Bounty, but it will be impossible to escape without the component the beetle ate.
That night, Lloyd hears Zane says that the Bounty is useless without the component, and the only way to retrieve it is to go to the belly of the beast itself. He then gets the idea that one of them has to be strapped to a rope and sent into the stomach of the beetle. They play a rock-paper-clamp tournament in order to decide who goes in, and Zane ends up being the winner.
The next morning, Zane goes on the sand and is consumed by Beohernie. When Zane notifies the ninja that he found the component, the ninja pull him from Beohernie, but he resists by pulling onto Cole's Dirt Bike. The force by Beohernie causes Cole to fall out of his vehicle and onto the sand where two more bugs begin to attack, but they are repelled by the ninja. Eventually, Kai shot fireballs at Beohernie's belly which allowed Zane to escape the belly of the beast.
With the component recovered, the ninja were to escape the rock and outrun the other scarab beetles to their next destination, the pyramid.
Boobytraps and How to Survive Them
The ninja try to convince Clutch Powers to explore with them but cannot. Clutch gets a call from the Explorer's Club. His membership is about to get revoked, so he helps. The Nnnja go past obstacles. Cole uses his strength to lift a column. Later on, Jay trips a cobweb and the ninja fall into spikes Kai destroyed with his fire.
They soon reach a room with a sliding puzzle on a wall. Jay and Nya accidentally freed Aspheera, by finishing the puzzle. Clutch flees, saying he will be asking for help. She steals Kai's power and traps Lloyd and the other ninja after she beats them with Spinjitzu.
Ninja vs Lava
Despite the rushing lava, the ninja are able to escape their prison; however, they are still chained. When they get to the barrier, Cole uses his lava arms to lift the barrier allowing the other ninja to pass. As Cole was lifting the rock up, Jay caught sight of lava approaching them and immediately begins running away from the lava. Not realizing they were still tied together, this caused a chain reaction, as Lloyd and Cole were pulled towards Jay causing Cole to drop the rock and nearly crushing Kai.
When they reach the spikes, they find supplies from Hageman needed to ascend the slope. As they began their ascent, Cole complains about Kai's weight causing him to lose his grip and the ninja to fall until Nya is able to grip the slope. Despite the setback, the ninja are able to reach the top.
The ninja reach outside the pyramid, but they realize they are surrounded by lava. When all hope seemed lost, P.I.X.A.L. arrives in the ShuriCopter and saves the Ninja.
After the long ride, the ninja reach their vehicle and promise that they will be ready for Aspheera.
Snaketastrophy
After the ninja save Fred Finely from an Elemental Cobra, the reporter freaks out, so Lloyd and Cole calmed him down. After Fred tells the ninja where Aspheera is, they head off.
Powerless
The ninja save the Police Commissioner and his crew from the Elemental Cobras. Before heading off to the Museum, Kai informs them that he will stay behind, thinking that he will ruin everything due to his powers being stolen. Lloyd attempts to get him to change his mind, but Kai ignores him so they head off, but not before Lloyd informs him that the window is still open.
The ninja fight the Elemental Cobras while Lloyd fights Aspheera and ultimately losses to her. She then performs Spinjitzu against the ninja and successfully defeats them. Aspheera then used her staff to destroy parts of the roof and cause the debris to fall on the ninja. After that, she reawakens the Pyro Vipers still in their tombs and tells them to follow her out of the museum, and the Elemental Cobras to finish off the ninja.
Before the Elemental Cobras destroy the ninja, Jake comes in to shield the ninja, but Kai catches up and rescues Jake out of trouble while turning on the fire sprinklers to distract the Elemental Cobras before Zane finishes them using his ice powers.
Ancient History
Lloyd, Zane, and Nya head off to stop Aspheera by taking a shortcut using Zane's GPS system. After arriving close to Aspheera, Zane headed off somewhere and promised to return.
Nya distracts Aspheera while Lloyd attempted to steal the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu. Ultimately, Lloyd failed and both were surrounded by Pyro Vipers. Luckily, Zane arrives in his Shuricopter and creates an ice barrier, giving Lloyd and Nya enough time to escape.
Under Siege
While Lloyd, Nya, and Zane are in Ninjago City looking for Aspheera, Cole notifies them that she is on her way to the Monastery. In addition, he tells them to find Clutch Powers; believing he knows the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu's whereabouts.
When Lloyd, Nya, and Zane arrive at the Ninjago City Hospital, Clutch Powers tells them that the second scroll is at the Explorers Club, but he refuses to leave. When Nya pulls him from his bed, Clutch calls the nurses who escort the ninja away.
The Explorers Club
When Lloyd, Nya, and Zane enter The Explorers Club, they are welcomed by Cecil Putnam, and the trio explains that they need the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu. Luckily for them, The Explorers Club possessed the scroll; however, the Ninja needed a membership for the club. Since the ninja didn't have a membership, they were pushed out from the building.
The ninja tried again, but this time, they used Zane disguised as Clutch Powers. Once Zane entered the building, he is confronted by Putnam who tells Zane that his membership had been suspended and cannot obtain any artifacts.
After the two failed attempts, Nya decided to be bold by sneaking in the building and stealing the scroll. Lloyd and Zane follow up, and all three reach the rooftop. The trio then shut down a fan by using Lloyd's sword and Zane's ice to prevent it from moving and made their way down the ventilator using a rope hook. Suddenly, the fan broke free causing the ninja to fall and crash into a middle of a meeting between Shippelton, Smythe, and Underhill.
Lloyd tried to come up with an excuse by saying they were working on the air conditioning, but his sword came tumbling down. Shippelton knew he was lying and calls for security, causing the ninja to flee into a room. The three ninja notice a mirror that alters their image into their worst fears and Lloyd sees Garmadon's reflection instead of his own. Stating that his worst fear is becoming his father. After avoiding the members of the Explorer's club, the ninja manage to steal the second Forbidden Scroll and escape.
Vengeance is Mine!
The Pyro Vipers break the door to the hangar bay, but they are unable to find Wu until Jay accidentally reveals their hiding spot by sneezing. Before Aspheera could do any harm, P.I.X.A.L. uses the Titan Mech to defend the ninja and Wu. Despite this, Aspheera is able to hold her ground and holds the ninja hostage until Lloyd, Nya, and Zane arrive with the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu.
A lengthy battle ensues with Lloyd having the chance to possess the Scroll when it falls into his hands. Eventually, Zane gets the Scroll and freezes the Pyro Vipers. Before Zane gave back the Scroll to Wu, Aspheera's arm manages to get free and she attempts to zap Wu, but Zane saved his master by pushing Wu of the way causing him to be hit and be seemingly destroyed.
A Cold Goodbye
The ninja come running in after P.I.X.A.L. has a nightmare of losing Zane. Wu then tells the ninja that Zane is alive; however, Wu won't let the ninja come since its location is remote.
Despite this, Lloyd steals the Traveler's Tea and the ninja head to the hangar bay where they spot Wu holding the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu. A lengthy battle occurs as both sides were fighting for the Traveler's Tea. This gave the ninja no choice, but to tie Wu up and place a mouthpiece over him. In the end, the ninja headed inside the Land Bounty while P.I.X.A.L. stood outside and zapped the vehicle into the Never-Realm.
The Never-Realm
The Land Bounty lands are a cliff forcing the ninja to evacuate and during the process, Cole loses the Traveler's Tea. This causes an argument with Jay before Lloyd breaks up the fight and suggests they head down the mountain to avoid freezing.
After hiking through frigid temperatures, the ninja finally make it to a forest where it’s still cold. In addition, the ninja face danger when they are approached by Frost Wolves. The ninja flee from the danger, but Lloyd runs into a tree giving a chance for the wolves to attack but in spite of that, the wolves head off somewhere else. What the ninja do not realize is that one of the wolves is frozen on a tree.
Following the unusual sight of wolves running away, the ninja stumble upon some people who are also frozen. Nya is able to sense one of the victims realizing they have a heartbeat and are still alive, but Nya also gets a signal on the Titan Mech. Before they sought out to find the Mech, Jay believed they should help the people, but Lloyd and Nya stand their ground saying they should get more information before assisting the people.
After following the bleak signal for some time, the ninja run into the wolves again, but this time they fight. They are able to hold their ground for some time until three mysterious people shoot arrows at the wolves causing them to run away.
The ninja follow the people to a nearby village where they are greeted by Sorla. After both sides give their introductions, Sorla throws a potion into the hearth fire, and they are able to find Zane’s location which is the Castle of Ice. Sorla tells them that Zane was most likely taken captive by the Ice Emperor and he is "lost." However, Lloyd believes Zane is strong and they will still come for him despite all the dangers she said. Sorla then warns them of General Vex who is out to get the ninja.
Fire Maker
Lloyd and Sorla discuss the path to the Castle of Ice. Sorla warns Lloyd to be very quiet on this path or else Wujira will "strike you down."
When Uthaug and Boma warn the Ice Fishers that the Blizzard Samurai are coming, Sorla states they must protect the Hearth Fire, so the ninja and Ice Fishers build a fort and are completed by sunrise.
Lloyd fights one of the Blizzard Warriors, he changes faces, but is soon corrupted and fights Lloyd.
Although the Blizzard Samurai didn't destroy the ninja, the Hearth Fire was taken out by the Blizzard Samurai leaving them freezing in the winter night. Kai continues to blame himself for not having his Elemental Powers before trying once more. This time, he is able to create the Fire, and the Ice Fishers chant "Fire Maker" due to his success.
An Unlikely Ally
Lloyd finds Nya and tells her to protect the Great Lake while he goes to the Castle of Ice alone. After convincing her, the rest of the village bids him farewell, with Jay giving him a fish and Nya giving him the tracking device for the mech.
During his hike, a pack of wolves was about to attack him, but another wolf saves him. He offers her his fish, and he continues his journey. He was then ambushed by Blizzard Samurai, but after being overpowered, he remembered what Sorla said about making noises. He used this to his advantage and caused an avalanche.
He was dragged out of the pile of snow by the wolf, and she leads him to the Land Bounty. However, he cannot turn it on. He gathers supplies to warm himself and decided to head back to the village to make a new plan. Suddenly, the device alerted him of the mech and had faith he could find Zane.
The Message
As Lloyd and the wolf continued their journey, he told her about Garmadon's evil side. He then decided to name her Red, after her facial markings. The device's signal became stronger, and they continued forward. They eventually found out they entered an Ice bird's territory. Unable to fight it off, they found a cave to hide in.
The cave turned out to be where the mech was, but Zane wasn't there. He attached jumper cables to the mech and found a farewell message from Zane.
He then tried to start the mech up but found the battery has been drained. By connecting the jumper cables to the battery and using his Energy, he was able to start it up.
With the mech, he was able to fend off the bird. Although Red was initially unsure of the mech, Lloyd was able to convince her it won't hurt her and they can travel faster.
The Traveler's Tree
In Cole's nightmare, Jay, Kai, and Lloyd were disappointed in Cole after he left the tea behind. They made him go back for it, and the Bounty fell off the cliff.
Secret of the Wolf
On their way to the Castle of Ice, Lloyd tries to pass the time by telling Red about Harumi and the Sons of Garmadon.
They reach a frozen lake and Lloyd inspects the ice. They tried to leave the area but was attacked by an Ice Behemoth. Once it was defeated, Lloyd bandaged Red's leg and set up camp.
When they woke up, Lloyd found out that Red is a human. They argued, but their friendship was amended when Lloyd tells her not to run on her broken leg. After tending to it again, they apologize. The girl reveals her real name to be Akita and offers to tell him her backstory.
The Last of the Formlings
Lloyd listened to Akita's story about the Formlings. After her explanation, he stated they are on the same quest. Akita denied this, stating that Lloyd was there to save his friend and she seeks to avenge her village.
My Enemy, My Friend
Lloyd and Akita have arrived far enough that they are able to see the Ice Emperor's castle, but it is too dark and they camp out for the night. They exchange their plans after they have defeated the Ice Emperor and rescued Zane, but they are interrupted by Boreal.
After a fierce and quick battle, Boreal injures them both and takes Lloyd to the Ice Emperor. There, Lloyd discovers that the Ice Emperor is nonetheless, his friend, Zane.
A Fragile Hope
Lloyd is shocked that Zane is the cruel Ice Emperor. He tries to remind him of the good times he had with the team, but Zane does not remember. Eventually, he concludes that the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu had corrupted him and tries to convince him to put it down. Lloyd assumes that time moves by different in the Never-Realm after Zane stated that he held the staff for decades. After a short brawl, Lloyd is knocked unconscious and sent to the Ice Emperor's dungeon, despite Vex's pleas.
After Lloyd wakes up, he meets a new friend who turns out to be Kataru, Akita's long lost brother. Kataru bluntly tells him there is no escape from the dungeon, but Lloyd reveals to him that Akita is still alive and his friends were coming. His wish eventually becomes true when Grimfax, the leader of the Blizzard Samurai army, rescued them and he started up a new Resistance.
Once and for All
Lloyd, Kataru, and Grimfax try to find and destroy Vex's crystal. However, Vex and the warriors already know, and they have the Resistance surrounded. Grimfax and Kataru fight them while Lloyd goes to find Zane.
He arrived in his throne room just before Zane was about to defeat Akita and revealed Zane's identity to her.
Awakenings
Lloyd tries to convince Zane that he was not an emperor. He then explains to Akita that he is not a bad guy, and stops her from hurting him.
Zane and Lloyd attack each other, but Zane was able to trap him in ice. Once Vex arrives and implores Zane to finish Lloyd, the latter hesitates. Vex moves to the job and is about to kill him for the Emperor while taunting Lloyd. However, Zane regains his memories when Vex said “protect” and saves Lloyd. Lloyd watches is Zane destroys his staff and freeze the realm of the ice liberating it. Happy to see his friend regain his memories, they re-connect until Lloyd sees that Vex is angry and attempting to kill Zane but is frozen by him in revenge for his manipulation.
Later, the ninja were disappointed that the Traveler's Tea leaves were not enough to open a portal back to Ninjago. Their spirits soon lifted when Cole shows Sorla the berry he had saved, which is potent enough. After exchanging goodbyes with Akita, she gives him a kiss on his cheek before he jumped through the portal.

Let's Dance
Lloyd called Jay and Nya to help subdue The Mechanic after he broke into a warehouse.
Upgrade
Lloyd and the rest of the ninja were chasing The Mechanic after he robbed a warehouse. However, The Mechanic was able to flee quickly. When Nya and Jay join the ninja late, Lloyd asked about their previous whereabouts, and Jay and Nya lied about what they actually did.
Prime Empire
Would You Like to Enter Prime Empire?
The Mechanic and his crew are caught by the Ninja inside an old electronics warehouse. A fight for the motherboard ensues with The Mechanic running away from the scene. However, he is captured during a high-speed chase.
After The Mechanic is arrested, the Ninja decide to investigate his headquarters. As they entered, one of The Mechanic's spare arms falls on Lloyd which freaks him out. Jay then discovers an old video game called Prime Empire and messes with it while the rest of the Ninja continue to explore.
The Ninja enter another room and see mysterious logos all over the place. A monitor boots up behind some books, so Zane pushes them aside to see it. the monitor questions the Ninja if they found the motherboard, and Zane responds typing in the keyboard. The monitor replies back, saying that Unagami is pleased and to activate the game, then turns itself off. Lloyd then questions on who's Unagami.
They head back to tell Jay, but he mysteriously disappears.
Dyer Island
Lloyd along with the rest of the Ninja try to figure out where Jay is. They then find out Prime Empire is on and realize Jay entered the game after finding a recording of him.
The Ninja then interrogate The Mechanic but he refuses to answer any questions. Lloyd is annoyed so he directs the Police Commissioner to send him to Kryptarium Prison. Zane then informs the group that Prime Empire was created by Milton Dyer, so they decide to search for him.
They all reach Dyer Island and encounter traps such as lasers and robot dogs. Bob the Intern then turns the security system off after his shower and allows the Ninja to enter. They ask Bob questions although Bob thought they would come with answers about Milton Dyer's status. Furthermore, Bob does tell the Ninja that Milton Dyer was seeking revenge after being fired which prompted the Ninja to believe Milton Dyer was Unagami.
Level Thirteen
The Ninja head to Borg Tower to get the analysis of the Prime Empire. Borg told the Ninja that they had to defeat Unagami in the virtual world or find Milton Dyer in the real world. Cole then starts to play the game.
While he is playing, The Mechanic's team attempts an invasion. The Ninja are forced to stay in Borg's office, so they check on Cole only to realize that he didn't start the game and is still choosing an avatar.
Cole is able to reach level thirteen, but The Mechanic's team finally reaches the top floor. The Ninja are able to defeat The Mechanic's team before Cole, Lloyd, Nya, and Kai successfully entered Prime Empire.
Once they arrived, they would admire their surroundings as they looked around the marketplace.
Superstar Rockin' Jay
Lloyd and his friends continued to look for Jay inside Prime Empire until they are attacked by the Red Visors. He along with the rest of the Ninja attempt to use Spinjitzu and their Elemental Powers, but only end up getting dizzy from spinning with no tornado forming around them and doing Jazz hands. As they duck for cover, Kai reminiscences the time Aspheera stole his powers and berates on how he and his friends always seem to lose their powers. He then witnesses "Jay" fighting a Red Visor and calls to his friends about this, who seem to also see other Jays fighting. Confused on why there was more than one Jay, Cole explains that they are some of the people trapped inside the game and made their avatars look like Jay. When they spot drones coming, the Jays tell them to follow as they double jump to the rooftop. Cole tells them what the double jump was and Kai told him that made no sense, but went with it anyway as the drones followed them.
Being cornered by drones from all sides, the Ninja and Jay Avatars fight the drones. The Jay Avatars being easily able to take them out, while the Ninja struggle with one of their own. Kai jumps on the face of one drone but is blasted off easily by its laser, sending him flying off the building and killing him. Kai then respawns next a grieving Lloyd after seeing his death. Both Kai and Lloyd are confused and Kai is impressed that he just respawned. Following Jay's advice, they head to an alleyway below after hearing a codename.
The Ninja suddenly spot three Red Visors up ahead. Lloyd, Nya, and Cole hide, but Kai, thinking the game has unlimited lives, stands in the open and taunts the Red Visors. The Red Visors kill him and Kai respawns again after the Ninja defeated the Red Visors. Kai re-spawns and expresses how much he likes the ability of "infinite lives". Cole tries to tell him how lives in a video game really works, but Kai ignores him as they move on.
Arriving at the location, which was an empty parking lot, the Ninja are confused by the turn of events; Kai concludes that the Jay avatars are crazy since they love Jay so much when a masked stranger holds them at gunpoint. Nya tells him the code name the Jay Avatars mentioned earlier and the man invites the Ninja inside his hidden garage.
The man reveals his name to be Scott and what he's been doing in Prime Empire when Kai foolishly kills himself by touching one of Scott's belongings; That being explosive. Upon re-spawning, Kai tells Scott how cool it is to have infinite lives. Scott denies this and shows him his health board, which is down to one. Kai gets mad at his friends for not saying anything and Cole responds by saying when he did try helping him, but he didn't want to hear anything.
I am Okino
The ninja enter Terra Karana with Kai and Jay arguing about the League of Jays. The Ninja then see a depressed Okino and honor him if he could guide them through Terra Karana.
The Glitch
Lloyd and the rest of the Ninja head out with Okino into the Forest of Discontent. Their first obstacles are bushes which contain the Thorns of Discontent. Lloyd is able to dodge the bushes and destroy one.
As the team and Okino travel through the forest, they complain about the darkness and not being able to see. Jay then opens his inventory and pulls out two torches for him and Cole. The problem now is that they could see what danger awaited for them.
As they continue walking, Nya accidentally jumps into a pit. She then begins to sink into it as teeth surround her. Jay and Cole attempt to pull her out in vain and Nya screams as the sand and teeth swallow her. Respawning, Nya is upset as well to see that she has also lost a life.
Okino and the Ninja eventually reach a point where he thinks the upcoming obstacle could be Strangler Vines. Lloyd finds out it's not, but they are ambushed by the Whack Rats. The Ninja defeat the Whack Rats and Ritchie is tied up. They interrogate him and Ritchie reveals that Unagami ordered them to ambush the Ninja. Lloyd then comments about Unagami preventing the Ninja from winning the game which confuses Okino. The Ninja then explain that Prime Empire is not a real-world and Unagami is the creator of the world. Originally, Okino doesn't believe it causing Jay thinks he is not programmed to understand the truth.
Realizing Unagami is playing dirty, the Ninja are about to leave, but Ritchie urges the Ninja to cut him down because he has an itch. Ritchie then tells the Ninja that there's a glitch in the game that can allow the Ninja to bypass the Forest of Discontent. The Ninja end up letting Ritchie down and he begins scratching his body.
Ritchie guides the Ninja to the glitch and he jumps in. Okino is confused at the sight as the rest of the Ninja enter as well. The Ninja are teleported to a purple cubed room. They walk forward and all of a sudden, the Red Visors appear and begin shooting the Ninja. The Ninja pull out their prime controllers to defend themselves as Ritchie looks on before leaving the room. The Ninja begin to lose lives until Okino enters and fights the Red Visors allowing the Ninja a chance to escape. Everyone but Lloyd is able to escape because Lloyd wants Okino to come along. Okino decides to stay with Lloyd as he pushes him through the portal.
The Ninja and Okino land outside the Forest of Discontent. Lloyd thanks Okino, but he is kneeling realizing the world he lives in is not real. Okino thinks he's a pawn, but Lloyd downplays the idea as he tells Okino that he made his own decision, not Unagami. Lloyd then tells Okino to trust in himself and in the Ninja as friends and as an ally to help them get past Terra Karana.
The Cliffs of Hysteria
The Ninja talk to Shifty who gives them a discount on the grappling hooks for Flower Nya". Shifty then offers them two ropes: the Rope of Supreme Durability and the Rope of Questionable Integrity. Shifty lists the price for the first rope at a massive price that the Ninja can't pay. Jay refuses to buy the Rope of Questionable Integrity and suggests gaining more credits or to steal the rope. However, Lloyd doesn't agree with both ideas and opts to take the cheaper rope.
The Ninja are forced to take the second rope and Red Visors arrive at the scene. The Ninja begin climbing the cliff with the Red Visors on their tails. Lloyd defends himself by using his prime controllers and takes a Red Visors with him before he goes to the top.
As the Ninja interrogate one of the Red Visors, it tells the Ninja that Unagami is constructing something to another place and Jay realizes it's Ninjago. Lloyd tries to demand more answers but it self-destructs. After gaining more information, the Ninja are about to head into the Maze of the Red Dragon, but Okino continues to doubt himself. Lloyd tells Okino that he can be himself and make his own decisions which inspires Okino to be himself.
The Maze of the Red Dragon
The Ninja and Okino begin dashing through traps and just before Cole asks Okino where to go, Unagami pauses the game to speak with Okino. When the game unpauses, the Ninja ask again, and Okino begins guiding the Ninja.
They make it to where the Red Dragon is and the Purple Key-Tana. Lloyd attempts to steal it when the dragon is sleeping, but the Ninja accidentally awakens it when they save Jay. Cole and the Ninja struggle to attack the Red Dragon until Okino strikes the dragon on its weak spot. The Ninja begin striking that same point until Jay grabs the Key-Tana and takes out the remaining lives.
One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
Jay introduces Terra Technica to the Ninja and they decide to sign up for the Speedway Five-Billion. Unfortunately, they don't have enough credits to enter the race, and, to make matters worse, they are surrounded by Red Visors. Jay fights one of them and is forced to have a weapon upgrade which causes them to need more credits once they are done fighting. They then see an advertisement for a dance competition and decide to enter in order to obtain more credits.
Jay and Nya begin dancing and rank up points rapidly. This impresses the rest of the Ninja as they didn't realize Jay is an excellent dancer.
Meanwhile, the Red Visors begin to show up, so the Ninja begin fighting them in the background. Eventually, Jay and Nya are able to win the contest, and fans begin rushing the stage to congratulate them. One Red Visors tries to craw his way towards Jay and Nya, but Kai pokes his back and punches his head.
After winning the competition, Jay and Nya cash out their earnings to enter the race. The Ninja then realize they need cars, but Jay claims he knows someone who can lend them cars, so they head out to Scott.
Racer Seven
Scott shows the Ninja all of the vehicles he has and commented that he wouldn't race due to having only one life left. Jay replies by saying that some things are worth fighting for, but Scott doesn't want to be a hero. Jay then explains that Scott has been in the game for way too long.
While the rest of the Ninja are working on their vehicles, Lloyd heads out to check out the track. During his time, he catches sight of an unknown racer who wipes out despite racing hard. In fury, she throws her helmet at Lloyd. All of a sudden, Lloyd is spotted by multiple Red Visors and runs away onto the racing pole. He then does a backflip and lands on a car before escaping through a pit stop.
While Nya is working on her car, she falls down and Jay checks to see if she's okay. Nya then gets upset that her vehicle is now destroyed, but Lloyd comes back telling the team that he thinks Racer Seven can drive. However, Scott reveals that Racer Seven is programmed to lose which gets affection from Jay and Nya. Lloyd then goes out to find her.
After some time, Lloyd finds Racer Sven and tells her that the world she currently lives in is not real and that she is programmed by Unagami to lose. Racer Seven downplays that and threatens to call the Red Visors if he doesn't move. Lloyd then leaves but tells Racer Seven to come to the empty parking lot if she changes her mind.
After a grueling day, the Ninja rebuild four vehicles but still need another one. That's when Racer Seven arrives, so the Ninja and Scott come out to greet her. Lloyd then asks if she will participate or not.
The Speedway Five-Billion
While the Ninja are talking to Racer Seven, the alarm sounds as Red Visors begin shooting the base. Lloyd said he would hold them off, but the Ninja won't let him, so Scott decides to hold off the Red Visors. The Ninja are able to escape, but Jay cries out when Scott is cubed.
The Ninja are able to enter the race. After Coe and Kai decide to sacrifice themselves, Jay and Nya scream for their friends while Lloyd hangs his head down in despair while Unagami's drones pick up the cubes.
The Whack Rats then attempt to move Racer Seven out of first, but the Ninja get in their way. Racer Seven crosses the finish line first and wins as everyone cheers.
Jay, Nya, Lloyd, and Racer Seven are the crowned the winners of the race and handed the Yellow Key-Tana. Seven hands it to Jay, as he states that they can make Unagami bring their friends back. They just have to get the Orange Key-Tana and confront him. Red Visors begin to appear again and Seven tells them she can handle this. The remaining Ninja run away as the Red Visors confront Racer Seven and asks where they are. Seven plays dumb and they claim Unagami will find the Ninja. Seven denies this and says that the Ninja will be going after Unagami instead.
Stop, Drop and Side Scroll
The remaining Ninja - Lloyd, Nya, Jay - head through Terra Technica and sneak past Red Visors. As they move, they watched of replay Kai and Cole being cubed from the Speedway Five-Billion, discouraging them. Lloyd tells the two of them that Kai and Cole would want them to keep on moving, which they do so. Jay shows them to the last Arcade Pod that would take them to the next area, Terra Domina.
When arriving, they find themselves in a side-scrolling platform, where they have to beat all the levels to reach the end. Jay describes how this works: As they keep moving, the ground will disappear behind them and will go faster as they progress, as they keep moving they will need to dodge objects and falling bricks if one of them dies, they all have to start over. As Nya questions the last rule, she is hit by a giant swinging sledgehammer with spikes, killing her.
The trio respawn back at the beginning, with Nya on her last life. Lloyd expresses his annoyance about having to repeat that again. Jay tells them if they pay attention, they can do this. As they get farther, Jay passes three of the same hammers that killed Nya earlier. As he flosses in his victory, he barley evades a falling brick. As he laughs at the brick, another one falls and crushes him.
They respawn back at the start again, now with Jay standing on his last life. They move on again and Lloyd gets blocked by a giant wall. He tries to double jump over it but doesn't have enough room to get high enough. Instead, he hits the wall and falls to his death.
The three respawn back at the beginning once more, now with all of them down to one life. Jay tells them that they can't afford any more mistakes. This time, they make it through the first section.
The music gets faster and Jay realizes this as the game is getting harder. They are then greeted by an infinity maze going upwards and the floor slowly disappearing beneath them. They travel upwards and after a while, they slowly get tired. Just as they think the side-scroller is endless, Nya gets a Loot-Box and unlocks the ability to perform Airjitzu. Jay and Lloyd tell Nya to go on without them but says for them to grab and hold tight and flies up to the top.
When they arrive at the top, they find themselves having to choose a champion to face their most dreaded challenger and obtain the Orange Key-Tana. Lloyd is chosen and walks in the fighting arena. Unagami chooses and spawns Lloyd's most dreaded challenger, which was Harumi, which surprises Lloyd. Jay and Nya try to warn him of what Unagami is doing, but a dome blocks them from entering the arena and mutes their voices from the inside.
Harumi starts by tricking Lloyd to make him not want to fight her and seizes the opportunity to get the first hit on Lloyd. Lloyd holds back, not wanting to fight her. Jay and Nya try to tell Lloyd to fight her since this was not the real Harumi, but their efforts were useless. Lloyd starts making counter-attacks on Harumi, and as Harumi locks swords with Lloyd, she tries to trick him by saying that she was sorry for everything. Lloyd asks Harumi if it was really her. Jay again tries to warn his friend, but cannot due to the dome interfering. Lloyd breaks away from Harumi and proves if this was really her by asking her what they did the first night they were alone together. When Harumi answers incorrectly, Lloyd sees through this, realizing that this was not the real Harumi. Harumi and Lloyd start trading hits and blows that each other, both at low health now. Both make a final charge at each other and make a final attack on each other. Harumi dies first, while Lloyd loses his final life, turning into an Energy Cube and getting absorbed by a drone.
Jay and Nya obtain the Orange Key-Tana, but they mourned over Lloyd being cubed. Jay then tells Nya that they will stop Unagami and finish it for those who were lost.
Game Over
Lloyd and the other ninjas are freed from Prime Empire and returned to Ninjago. There, he reunited with Jay, Wu, Zane, and P.I.X.A.L. and notices Racer Seven smiling at him, knowing that she's thanking him for helping her. While the Ninja are wondering what happened to Unagami, Jay reassures them that, like everyone else trapped in Prime Empire, he's home.
Master of the Mountain
Shintaro
Lloyd catches Cole slacking off and is instead playing video games while the rest of the ninja are doing their chores. However, Lloyd decides to join in.
Sometime later, Lloyd finds Wu in a depressed state and their master explains that he feels like he's no longer needed as the ninja were able to successfully carry out their missions without him. Lloyd tells Wu that he's still needed, but he walks away.
Lloyd then heads outside to hear that they're being invited to Princess Vania's birthday at the Kingdom of Shintaro. Wu also heads outside and Lloyd tells Wu about the good news and recommends he should come along, but Wu does not want to go. However, Wu ends up going along after Misako forced him.
Lloyd and the ninja head to the Ivory City via the Bounty. Along the way, they encounter the Dire Bats. One even attempts to attack Nya, so Lloyd jumps on it. Eventually, the Bounty still descends after one of the Dire Bats runs into the pole containing the sail. Although all hope seemed lost, the Army of Shintaro carry the ship while Hailmar greets the ninja and shows them the Kingdom of Shintaro in the horizon.
Into the Dark
The ninja are welcomed into the palace by King Vangelis. After hearing how Princess Vania is such a big fan of the ninja, especially Cole, Lloyd becomes suspicious of her. Mostly out of what happened with Harumi.
The Worst Rescue Ever
Lloyd and the other ninja are strolling through the magnificent gardens, and realize that Cole is missing.
Suddenly, Princess Vania appears from out of a tunnel in a frenzy, telling the ninja that she went into the Dungeons with Cole and found something terrible. There's an underground mine filled with little creatures forced to mine by black skeletons. Cole stayed behind to rescue them and told her to get help.
The seven of them go to tell King Vangelis, and he is angry at his daughter for disobeying his orders, endangering their guests. He says that he'll send his guards down at once to find Cole, but he will not allow the ninja to go. The ninja realize that the creature that Cole saw in his bedroom was real all along.
The ninja leave the throne room and make secret plans to enter the dungeons behind the King's orders. Vania agrees to show them the way into the dungeons, and she leads the way back to the garden.
Wu agrees to stay behind with Vania, feeling as though he'll slow the rest of them down. The ninja enter the cave and find that Vania was telling the truth. Zane detects simple weapons and crude fortifications from the skeletons, and the others suggest that they bust up the bags of bones, and rescue Cole nice and quickly.
They all agree, and steal the keys to Cole's cage, and free him at last. In order to delay their capture, Zane blocks an entrance off for the skeletons with his shuriken. Cole tells them to keep the volume down, as there's a winged masked man who lives in the temple in the center.
The two tribes of creatures that live in the dungeons, the Geckles and Munce, start to quarrel with each other, causing a ruckus. This alerts the Awakened Warriors, who begin to attack the ninja. Lloyd orders Jay and Nya to take our the warriors, while the rest of them run away. Zane and the others are in shock, watching the Geckles and Munce call each other "blade stealers." Meanwhile, the ninja find that the Awakened Warriors go down without much trouble.
While trying to defend themselves, Zane realizes that his Elemental Powers are no use in the dungeons.
All the commotion causes the masked man to exit his temple. The man reveals himself as the Skull Sorcerer, a masked man in a black gown with wings, wielding a glowing green skull. The Skull Sorcerer uses the green skull in his hands to awaken the black skeletons around him, overwhelming the ninja, leading to their defeat and eventual capture.
The Two Blades
Lloyd and the other ninja are put to work by the Awakened Warriors, forced to mine heaping amounts of Vengestone, which explains their inability to use their powers.
After causing a ruckus, they are locked up in a cage with several Geckles. When Gliff picks a fight with Murt, the ninja start to wonder where their feud started.
Gliff explains that long ago, a hero named "Gilly" (who the Munce argues was named "Milly,") entered the mountain with two blades to defend the Geckles and Munce from a terrible dragon known as Grief-Bringer (who the Munce argues was called "Mief-Bringer.") After defeating the dragon, "Gilly" left behind her blades as gifts to the Geckles and Munce — leaving the Ivory Blade of Deliverance to the Geckles, and the Shadow Blade of Deliverance to the Munce.
The two tribe's feud started when the Munce apparently stole their blade, however, the Munce argues that the Geckles were the ones that stole the blade. The ninja come to the conclusion that it was actually the Skull Sorcerer who stole both blades, in order to get control over both tribes. While the tribes fight over themselves, they can't fight the Skull Sorcerer.
Lloyd puts together a plan to get the two tribes to make a truce so they can all break out. Word is passed around through Geckles and Munce about a secret meeting after lunch, and when the time comes, they discuss retrieving both Blades by defeating the Skull Sorcerer.
Later, the ninja break out of their cages by getting a Minos to eat through their chains. The ninja split up, while Cole and Lloyd attempt to find the two blades, Zane and the others go about releasing the remaining Geckles and Munce. A few minutes later, chaos ensues, as Cole and Lloyd are chased away by the Skull Sorcerer.
In the commotion, the ninja are split up so that Jay, Nya, and Lloyd go one path, while Zane and Kai go down another. Cole is further separated from the group as he is chased by the Skull Sorcerer.
Queen of the Munce
Lloyd, Nya, and Jay follow the Munce to their home, but Murt can't remember where it is. Nya spots footprints and they follow it.
The ninja discover the beautiful cave and meet Queen Murtessa. She takes affection for Jay and thinks Nya is some sort of servant. Nya is furious at Murtessa and Lloyd tries to calm her down but also spots cave art depicting "Gilly" fighting a dragon.
The ninja eat with Murtessa and she flirts with Jay. Nya gets angry at Murtessa saying she is her love interest and both stare down each other. Lloyd tries to calm everything down, but Murtessa challenges Nya to a duel and she accepts it.
Lloyd witnesses Nya get beaten up by Murtessa, but Nya is able to perform Spinjitzu and knocks out the queen. The rest of the Munce then declare her the new queen, and Lloyd realizes they have a new problem.
Grief-Bringer
Lloyd watches as the Munce argue whether they should attend the truce meeting with the Geckles. Nya then gets the Munces' attention by using her Elemental Powers and forces the Munce to the meeting.
When they arrive, Lloyd and the ninja try to settle everyone down after tensions rise between the two tribes. Suddenly, they hear the sound of Grief-Bringer and everyone but Zane and Lloyd flee. The remaining ninja try to hold off Grief-Bringer, but he proves to be too strong as they also retreat.
The Darkest Hour
The ninja, Geckles, and Munce are running away from Grief-Bringer and decide to hide in the Geckle Strong-Cave.
When Nya and the Munce are trying to close the gate, Kai and the rest of the ninja head out to buy time for them to close it. The ninja perform Spinjitzu to defeat most of the Awakened Warriors, but they quickly rebuild themselves. Murtessa is able to break the chains to the gate and the ninja retreat back in.
Tensions once rise between the two tribes as Gulch is upset that the Munce are in his shelter.
Even though both sides dislike each other, they both are fearful when Grief-Bringer and the Awakened Warriors attempt to tear down the gate. Nya recognizes a pile of rocks covering something and asks the Geckles and Munce to work together to remove the rocks. Kai marvels at their teamwork, and when they're done, he enters first. However, he discovers there's no other way out.
Murtessa and Gulch apologize to each other and Kai and Nya officially establish peace with the opposing tribes. At the same time, the Skull Sorcerer destroys the gate and is about to fight until the ninja decide to surrender themselves and allow the Geckles and Munce to be free. The Skull Sorcerer agrees and the ninja are taken away.
The Upply Strike Back!
Trapped in a Vengestone cage, Lloyd and the ninja observe the Geckles and Munce laboring in the mines. Lloyd reassures them that as long as the Geckles and Munce are unharmed, there is still a chance for hope. The Skull Sorcerer approaches and reveals to use Grief-Bringer upon the ninja to force the Geckles and Munce into submission, extinguishing their hope. Lloyd attempts to intimidate the Skull Sorcerer by mentioning Cole, believing that Cole is on his way to warn King Vangelis about the Skull Sorcerer. However, the Skull Sorcerer reveals himself to be Vangelis, having imprisoned Cole and Wu deep in Shintaro Mountain after they discovered his true identity, much to Lloyd's dismay. Despite Vangelis's revelation, Lloyd remains skeptical and questions him about the theft of the Blades of Deliverance. Vangelis admits to stealing the blades in order to exert control over the Geckles and Munce, solidifying his power over them.
In the midst of the execution ceremony, Lloyd and the ninja witness with trepidation as Grief-Bringer was on the verge of being set free. However, Cole steps in and confronts Vangelis, as the Shintarians engage in battle against the Re-Awakened. Plundar and Adam come to the rescue, freeing the ninja from captivity and enabling them to partake in the battle for Shintaro Mountain.
The Son of Lilly
Lloyd continues to fight the Awakened Warriors alongside the ninja, Upply, Munces, and Geckles. Despite being overwhelmed, they receive aid when Vania and the Winged Guards of Shintaro arrive as well.
After Cole unlocks the Spinjitzu Burst, Lloyd watches Vangelis being taken away by his former guards.
During the ceremony, Lloyd watches Vania becoming the new ruler of Shintaro and promises peace for everyone. After the ceremony is finished, the ninja wave good-bye as they board the Bounty. Lloyd also took this time to apologize to Vania for his distrust towards her which she accepts.
The Island
Uncharted
Staying awake the whole night, keeping surveillance on the missing Kryptarium inmates, Lloyd was met by P.I.X.A.L., who realizes Ronin was the one who arrested Fugi-Dove. Then, Cecil Putnam arrives, informing the ninja that Misako is presumed lost. Wanting to save his mother, Lloyd calls for an expedition to the uncharted island. First, they meet up with Twitchy Tim, who chooses to go with them to the island. He rides on a ninja's catamaran with the other ninja, and arrives at the island. He calls for the Jungle Choppers from P.I.X.A.L., and they ride them into the jungle.
The Keepers of the Amulet
Lloyd and the other ninja dismount off the Jungle Choppers in order to travel through the jungle. He senses Zippy's presence, who jumps at the ninja. Lloyd notes that even if he is friendly, they must focus on their mission. Later, Lloyd, along with the other ninja, get attacked by Stone Guardians. Lloyd brings the Golems off the ninja's trail by luring them away before hiding in a cave, where he meets up again with Twitchy Tim.
The Gift of Jay
Lloyd puts on camouflage to get into the Keepers' Village, he tries to motivate Twitchy to help him but he is scared, Lloyd still continues to go to try to free the Ninja. With Zippy’s help, he is a able to free them and helps the Ninja look for Jay. Only to be ambushed by the Keepers when he and the others try to convince Clutch to not steal the Storm Amulet. He is captured with the Ninja and forced to watch Jay be sacrificed to “Wojira”.
The Tooth of Wojira
Lloyd breaks free and tries to help Jay from being eaten, only to fail. They get back to the island to be met by the Keepers, who promise to sacrifice them if Wojira comes back. Lloyd shows a wooden tooth from the sea creature and tells the Keepers that they have been tricked and gets them to help the Ninja find Jay. Lloyd battles some of Ronin’s crooks and saves Jay. Later, he is thanked with the rest of the Ninja by Mammatus. Next day, he sits down at a beach and is confronted by Wu and Misako who ask what he is thinking about, he tells them he wonders if Wojira is an actual being or not.
The Virtues of Spinjitzu
Curiosity
Lloyd entered the courtyard after Wu was shocked to see a giant hole in the middle of the wall. After Jay, Kai, and Nya failed to remember the six Fundamental Virtues of Spinjitzu, Wu looked around to see if the other ninja remembered, but they all looked down with guilt on their face.
With the ninja forgetting the virtues, Wu ordered them to medidate immediately. While medidating, Lloyd was meditating the wrong way, so Wu turned his body to the right way. While Wu was attending to the door, Lloyd continued to medidate even when Nya heard a roar in the background. When Nya investigated by opening the door, they was shocked to see Wu grasped by a green dragon. The ninja tried to fight the dragon, but the dragon was able to deflect their attacks and escape through a portal. The ninja then entered the portal hoping to save their master.
Balance
The ninja exited the portal and saw the green dragon across a pool of lava. Having to get across, Lloyd decided to use the ledges on the permeter, but quickly encountered the Lava Monster. Fortuantely, he is saved by the Thunder Dragon and entered the next portal.
Wisdom
Teleporting from the pyramid, Lloyd found himself racing at the Speedway Five-Billion in his car. Trying to get a sense of his surroundings, he saw the Legendary Dragon teleporting through another portal. Suddenly, the Whack Rats appear and begin shooting at him with one of the Whack Rats jumping on his car. Lloyd questioned whether this was against the rules, but just before the Whack Rat bombed his car, Cole came from behind in his mech and tossed the rat aside. The ninja identified another portal at the finish line and tried to get to it with their vehicles, but the Whack Rats kept respawning every time they were defeated. Lloyd then realized they had to be defeated instead of defeating the Whack Rats and purposely got shot by the enemy. Although Lloyd "died" on purpose, he quickly respawns right near the portal. The rest of the ninja followed suit and were able to enter the portal.
Honesty
Lloyd and the ninja were trapped in a cage and watched as Kai and Jay jousted in order to earn their freedom. After Jay told the truth of falling in his win, the Ice Emperor was pleased Jay told the truth and freed the rest of the ninja. The Ice Emperor then opened the next portal for the ninja to find Wu.
Generosity
Lloyd and the ninja fought the Awakened Warriors in the Mines of Shintaro. After saving the Geckles from the warriors, the ninja used the catapult to launch themselves to the next portal.
Courage
Lloyd and the ninja found themselves on the Island of the Keepers with Lloyd in his race car. They discovered Wu held captive by the Legendary Dragon along with three other dragons surrounded by a forcefield. The ninja suggested different strategies, but Kai disregarded everything proposed by the ninja and took the dragons head on. After Kai destroyed the forcefield, he protected Wu from the Legendary Dragon by using his Elemental Powers as a shield while Lloyd drove his car into the dragon. Despite the ninja defeating the dragons and saving Wu, their master informed them it was merely a lesson to teach the six Fundamental Virtues of Spinjitzu.

Lloyd and the others tried to convince many citizens that living in the city was safe, because due to the citizens fear of another flood, they started to illegally build houses on trees. Cole was able to convince the citizens by giving them a tour on the Destiny's Bounty. Lloyd was imprssed by Cole's leadership and decided to sit his next mission out in order to think about his declining skills at being a good leader.
Lloyd would later abandon the ninja team and start working at a window washing company, spending the next months cleaning many windows in Ninjago City.
Crystalized
Farewell the Sea
Hoping to reunite the ninja, Cole, Kai, and Zane headed to Lloyd, who was washing windows in Ninjago City. Lloyd was taken aback by their unexpected presence and questioned why they were there. Kai explained that they needed to investigate the Vengestone matter and thought Lloyd's help would be valuable. However, Lloyd politely declined, mentioning his workload and the need to continue working. As he descended on the lift, Kai and Cole emerged from neighboring windows, desperately trying to bring Lloyd back to his senses. Cole reminded Lloyd of their ninja motto, but Lloyd snapped, stating that he was no longer willing to take responsibility for others. He declared that his sole focus now was on cleaning windows. Realizing that Lloyd needed some time, the ninja decided to try their luck with Jay instead.
At Lighthouse Island, the ninja witnessed a candlelight vigil. Lloyd joined them using an APS suit. Cole surprised at Lloyd's arrival, prompting Kai to ask what made him change his mind. Lloyd explained that Nya wouldn't want them to give up and would push them to continue working. In a show of unity, the ninja put their hands together in a circle and agreed to carry on for Nya.
The Shape of Nya
In the hangar bay, the ninja are engrossed in a heated discussion about the mysterious movement of Vengestone across Ninjago City. Zane suggested that it might be happening underground to avoid air traffic control. Lloyd chimes in, mentioning that the Serpentine have denied any activity in the unused subway tunnels, leaving the ninja puzzled about the situation and considering starting over with their investigation. When Lloyd turned to Jay for ideas, he remained silent, focusing on his glasses of water. Jay was disinterested and unmotivated to participate in the discussion about the Vengestone. Jay's sudden outburst catched the attention of the team as he reflected on Nya's absence and the impact it has had on their dynamic as a group. He expresses doubt about their ability to solve the mystery without her, leading to a tense exchange with Kai, who accused Jay of being mopey and unhelpful. The team's frustration and emotional turmoil reach a boiling point as they struggle to come up with a solution to the Vengestone mystery without Nya's presence. loyd suggested that they might all need a break due to the tension in the group. Jay dismissed the idea, claiming they already had all the information they needed. However, upon noticing a pizza box, Jay hinted at having an idea involving the N line.
Lloyd and the ninja reached the N line, where Jay explained that it had been closed for years and was now deserted. Jay pondered aloud whether someone else had taken over the construction of the subway tunnel after the city had abandoned it. Cole pointed out that they had reached the end of the tunnel, but Jay wondered if there was more to discover. Suddenly, they noticed a delivery man sleeping on a crate of Vengestone, waiting for the buyer. Miss Demeanor and her henchmen arrived. Lloyd quickly reminded Kai that they couldn't use their Elemental Powers due to the proximity of Vengestone. The ninja swiftly dodged Miss Demeanor's attacks and engaged in a fierce battle with her henchmen. However, they struggled to coordinate their efforts as a cohesive group. Miss Demeanor warned Lloyd about the New Ninja potentially replacing them, but Lloyd remained unfazed by the threat. In the midst of the chaos, a henchman was nearly knocked into Lloyd by Zane accidentally, and Jay ended up crashing into Lloyd as well. Just when things seemed dire, the New Ninja arrived and effortlessly defeated Miss Demeanor and her henchmen.
As the authorities escorted Miss Demeanor and her accomplices, Lloyd was prepared to express his gratitude to the Police Commissioner. However, to his surprise, the Police Commissioner diverted his attention and conveyed his appreciation for the exceptional efforts of the New Ninja instead. The Teal Ninja emphasized that their motivation was not to seek thanks, but rather to protect the vulnerable, which they found fulfilling. The Fuchsia Ninja clarified that they looked up to the ninja and were inspired by them to become ninja themselves. Lloyd defended their skills by highlighting their recent achievement of discovering a shipment of Vengestone and identifying the involved villains. However, the Fuchsia Ninja corrected him, stating that they only found the intermediaries and would have located the Vengestone Buyer if they hadn't intervened. The Teal Ninja then disclosed that they had planted a tracking device and intended to trace it to the final destination. The Orange Ninja mentioned that they had to depart as Ulysses Trustable wished to personally thank them. Finally, the team made their exit using a smoke bomb.
Lloyd was frustrated with the presence of the New Ninja at the hangar bay, questioning their identity and authority. Zane, however, explains that they are the New Ninja of Ninjago City and their arrival was actually fortunate. He emphasizes that without their assistance, the team would have likely faced defeat. Lloyd interrupts, stating that he was not interested in calculating the odds of their success, but rather wants to know how they will address the situation. Zane, oblivious to Lloyd's concerns, asks what specifically he is referring to. Lloyd expresses his distress over the fact that they are being replaced and questions whether Zane even cares about it. Cole intervenes, assuring Lloyd that nobody was replacing them and reminding him that Zane has turned off his emotion chip. The chaos triggers the sprinklers, and Master Wu rushes to the hangar bay to see what is happening. Suddenly, the ninja notice that the spilled water is glowing and shifting, and Nya emerges from within, taking on her humanoid form using the water. Nya explained that she must have her powers get taken away to get her human for back. In a surprising move, Zane freezes Nya in place using his Ice powers as a way to prevent Nya from losing her form. Cole asserts that Nya cannot have her Elemental Powers taken away, but Lloyd counters by reminding him of Kai's previous experience with Aspheera. Wu interrupts, firmly stating that considering such a plan is not an option and that they need to find another solution. Lloyd questions Wu about his search for alternatives to bring Nya back, to which Wu admits he has found none. Wu expresses his concerns about trusting Aspheera and the potential danger of releasing her from prison. He declares his unwillingness to be involved in this plan. Lloyd argues that having Nya back would increase everyone's safety. Cole acknowledges the significance of the decision and emphasizes the need for a collective team decision. Lloyd suggests taking a vote, but before he finishes his sentence, the ninja all raise their hands in agreement. Lloyd acknowledges the unanimous decision and declares their mission to save Nya by going after Aspheera.

As the Overlord underwent a transformation, Lloyd sought Harumi's help in defeating him, but Harumi believed only one side could win, claiming Lloyd was not strong enough. Despite Lloyd's objections, the situation escalated when the Overlord turned into the Crystal King Centaur. Lloyd, Garmadon, and the Overlord engaged in battle, leading to Lloyd having to abandon his mech after being pushed off the Crystal Island. The Overlord gained the advantage by electrocuting Lloyd and Garmadon, revealing his corruption of the Great Devourer and causing it to bite Garmadon, setting off a chain of events to facilitate his return. Harumi, realizing the Overlord's role in her parents' demise, attacked him, leading to a fierce battle until the Overlord attempted to crystallize Ninjago by tapping into the central crystal, claiming their failure.
Roots
Lloyd relayed the importance of halting the Overlord's use of the central crystal to Garmadon and Harumi, but their efforts were in vain. Garmadon sustained injuries from a crystal impact, prompting Lloyd to save him from imminent danger. Lloyd expressed concern for Garmadon's well-being upon witnessing his wounds, while Garmadon apologized for his errors and acknowledged his state. Despite Garmadon's insistence that Lloyd prioritize his own safety, Lloyd was resolute in rescuing him, only to be left devastated by Garmadon's apparent demise. The Overlord callously remarked that Lloyd need not mourn, as his own demise was imminent. Enraged, Lloyd assumed his Oni Form and launched an attack on the Overlord. However, upon catching sight of his reflection in the central crystal, Lloyd reverted to his normal state. The Overlord retaliated by striking Lloyd, causing him to teeter on the edge of the Crystal Island. As the Overlord used the central crystal once more, Lloyd plummeted just as Ninjago began to crystallize. Yet, when the ninja combined the Golden Weapon to thwart the Overlord's acquisition of the Powers of Creation, said powers struck Lloyd, transforming into their original form, the Golden Ultra Dragon.
Lloyd engaged in a fierce battle against the Overlord while riding the Golden Ultra Dragon, utilizing both Ice and Fire to attack. They chased each other around the Crystal Island, where Lloyd once again attacked the Overlord with Fire, causing him to crash onto the temple and shatter the central crystal. Concerned for Harumi's safety, Lloyd instructed her to take cover while the Golden Ultra Dragon immobilized the Overlord with its Elemental Powers. Lloyd then commanded the dragon to strike the Overlord with its tail, ultimately destroying his centaur form. Garmadon urgently warned Lloyd and Harumi to leave before the Crystal Island exploded. Lloyd was astonished to see Garmadon alive and well, questioning him about his faked death. Garmadon revealed that he did it to help Lloyd unlock his Oni Form, which Lloyd expressed frustration with, stating that it was not necessary to defeat the Overlord. Garmadon countered, suggesting that Lloyd's fear of his own reflection hindered the success of the Oni Form. Eventually, Lloyd, Garmadon, Harumi, and the ninja reunited as they all rode on the Golden Ultra Dragon. When the ninja greeted Lloyd, they cast suspicious glances at Harumi. Nevertheless, Lloyd reassured them that she had changed for the better.
A week later, Lloyd and the rest of the ninja were reconstructing the Monastery of Spinjitzu when they were pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the Resistance, who came forward to lend a helping hand. Amidst the rebuilding process, Lloyd exchanged a friendly wave with Harumi. In his search for a plank, Lloyd got assistance from Garmadon, who offered it as a gesture of support.
Dragons Rising, Season 1
Master Wu assigned Lloyd a task to search for scrolls related to the Coalescence. Lloyd was perplexed by the concept and couldn't quite grasp its meaning. Lloyd casually placed the scrolls he had found next to Master Wu and asked if that was satisfactory. He then reassured him that he was available if he needed any further assistance. Master Wu addressed Lloyd as his student and nephew, hoping that Lloyd would excel as the future Master of the Monastery. He emphasized the importance of family and the role it plays in their journey. Lloyd, taken aback by Master Wu's words, couldn't fathom the idea of surpassing his uncle's wisdom and experience, considering that Master Wu had been in the Monastery for thousands of years. Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by a violent quake. They hurriedly made their way to the courtyard, where the rest of the ninja were already gathered, their attention fixed on the Merge occurring. Lloyd, bewildered by the commotion, demanded an explanation for what was unfolding before them.[18]
Lloyd and the rest of the team used the Destiny's Bounty with the aim of rescuing as the citizens, making their way towards Ninjago City. When the Bounty went into the Merge, Wu mouthed to himself that he thought he could "pull it off," but that "it happened too soon," Lloyd couldn't hear due to the raging loud storm and holding onto one of the rails.[19] Amidst the chaos, Lloyd managed to save a young boy named Arin, ensuring his safety by returning him back to his neighborhood. Arin was concerned for his parents, who were trapped in the midst of the Merge. With unwavering determination, Lloyd assured Arin that their mission was to save everyone, including his parents. Unfortunately, the proximity to the Merge caused Lloyd to become separated from the rest of the ninja once the Merge was completed and had lost his mask. Lloyd found himself back at the Monastery of Spinjitzu. As he delved deeper into what the Merge unfolded, he discovered that all the realms converged into one. He believed that he was the only ninja to survive. Lloyd realized that the Merge was the very subject that Master Wu had been tirelessly researching. Unfortunately, the scrolls containing the knowledge had been destroyed, leaving Lloyd unable to decipher the true nature of his work. The only clue he had was that the Source Dragons were somehow involved in causing the Merge in the first place. Weeks later, he found the Destiny's Bounty. As Lloyd approached the Bounty, he saw a silhouette and instinctively launched an attack. However, upon closer inspection, he realized it was Kai. Feeling remorseful, Lloyd promptly apologized for his mistake. Kai, relieved that it was all a misunderstanding, expressed his joy at reuniting with Lloyd.[18]
The MergeQuakes started to materialize. Lloyd and Kai stumbled upon the realization that Elemental Powers had the ability to halt the destructive events.
Sealing the Cracks

However, Lloyd and Kai soon came to the realization that if a significant number of MergeQuakes were to occur simultaneously, it would result in a catastrophic event known as the MergeQuake Storm, which would not only replicate the Merge but instead obliterate the realms entirely. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Lloyd and Kai understood that they couldn't face the problem alone and sought help. Lloyd decided to stay behind and ensure the safety of everyone, while Kai boarded the Bounty to explore the realms in search of a solution.[18]
The Merge: Part 1
Lloyd headed to the Crossroads and noticed Arin using Spinjitzu, mistakenly identifying him as one of the ninja.
Infiltrating a prison train, Lloyd unexpectedly encountered two Claw Hunters and successfully defeated them. As he emerged victorious, he came face to face with Arin and Sora. He confidently claimed ownership of the mask that Arin possessed.
The Merge: Part 2
While inquiring Arin and Sora about the mystery ninja, which was the former, a hunter surprised him from behind and pushed Lloyd into the car before he fights him, using his to cut the two kids' restraints before knocking him out. Arin then explained he found the mask after the Merge, but Lloyd was repulsed by the mask's lack of maintenance before they exit the car, intending to jump off, but Sora refused to leave as they were holding a baby dragon hostage before they encounter Rapton and find themselves surrounded. When Arin took down the hunters behind them, Lloyd was surprised that he used Spinjitzu and learned from Sora that the former trained himself before she tries to show Lloyd she has powers herself, but nothing happens. Learning she needed the dragon, Arin heads for the car containing him, with Lloyd misinterpreting it as him leaving, until he came back with the dragon, who gives Sora a boost power, which she used to inadvertently turn the hunters’ swords into bombs before they jump off the train. Lloyd soon assessed about how he is surprised that Arin knows Spinjitzu and Sora has Technology, powered by the baby dragon. Sora then tells how they must want the dragon's herd before seeing him assemble some debris into where his home was.

While observing Arin's progress through the obstacle course, Lloyd used Spinjitzu skills to rescue him after he fell. As Arin began to believe that he was the worst student ever, Lloyd countered with a story about how Jay destroyed the Monastery's south wing just by training there. He commended Arin for learning a version of Spinjitzu on his own but advised him to unlearn some of his self-taught techniques to achieve a more balanced approach. Lloyd and Sora discussed their elemental powers. Lloyd shared that it took him a while to realize his True Potential. Sora expressed confusion about Technology and whether or not she had an elemental power. Lloyd admitted that he was unfamiliar with Sora's element, but emphasized his lifelong study of Elemental Powers and the belief that true power lies within oneself. Sora, on the other hand, believed that the powers belonged to Riyu and that she merely borrowed them. Lloyd pointed out that during his encounter with Riyu's Matriarch, he was enhanced by dragon energy and that it amplified his own elemental powers, not those of the Matriarch. He then went on to explain that every Elemental Master was unique. Lloyd and the others then joined Riyu on top of the wall and were surprised to see the old Bounty hurtling toward them. The ship crashed, and the group inspected the damage. Lloyd observed scorch marks and questioned whether Kai was responsible. He then confirmed that the notes found belonged to Kai and that he was in the process of filling in a map. However, he only made it to one of the lands, which happened to be the direction the Bounty was coming from. Lloyd concluded that they must investigate further to uncover the truth behind Kai's disappearance. Upon boarding the new Bounty, Arin raised the question of whether Kai was in trouble, leading Lloyd to suggest that Kai may have sent the Bounty back on autopilot to find help. The team speculated that the seriousness of the situation must have prompted Kai to abandon the ship. However, Lloyd introduced the idea that it could be a trap. As Sora found Lloyd's notion amusing and questioned the likelihood of such a scenario, Lloyd responded by stating that it's occasionally true based on his past experiences.

Lloyd found himself evading Wyldfyre's relentless attacks, attempting to clarify that he was merely in disguise. However, Wyldfyre remained unconvinced and persisted with her assault. Lloyd then accused Wyldfyre of being an Elemental Master of Fire, having witnessed her projecting flames. Wyldfyre was perplexed by Lloyd's accusation and more concerned about her family's abduction. Lloyd was taken aback to learn of Wyldfyre's plight and vehemently denied any association with Imperium. Despite their initial disagreement, they joined forces to combat the Imperium Guards. Wyldfyre was surprised that Lloyd saved her and started believing that they are on the same side. They both continued their fight against the guards.
As he and Wyldfyre successfully defeated the guards, Lloyd suggested escaping through the sewers, but Wyldfyre insisted on saving her family. They eventually come across the Imperium Prison, and Wyldfyre identified one as the location of her family. However, she failed to open the door, and Lloyd shot Energy at the control panel, successfully opening the door. Inside the cell was a dragon named Heatwave, who Wyldfyre greeted happily. As Lloyd thought Heatwave was just Wyldfyre's pet, Wyldfyre explained to him that Heatwave is her family and that she was raised by him in the Wyldness. Lloyd was surprised but acknowledged that Wyldfyre being raised by a dragon in the Wyldness was the reason for her agression.

Lloyd implored Beatrix to rethink her decisions before the MergeQuake Storm struck, but she brushed off his warnings and accused the ninja of wanting her power. As Beatrix unleashed more MergeQuakes, Lloyd regrouped with the other ninja, with Kai worried about their next steps. Lloyd assured the team that they would do what they do best, leading the ninja to swiftly confront Beatrix in battle, harnessing their distinct powers. After being pulled into a rift, Wyldfyre's disappearance prompted the ninja to find refuge while Beatrix continued to create more rifts. Arin was informed by Lloyd that they must retrieve the MergeQuake weapon from Beatrix's possession. Arin devised a plan to use his grappling hook to seize the weapon, but a rift unexpectedly opened behind them. Fortunately, Lloyd swiftly grabbed onto Arin, saving him from being pulled in, although the grappling hook was lost. Together, they successfully escaped. As the the MergeQuake Storm was minutes from happening, Arin firmly held the belief that getting close to Beatrix was an impossible task. However, Lloyd had devised a plan to aid them. Using remote autopilot, Lloyd summoned the Master and Dragon Mechs into action. Taking control of the Master Mech, Lloyd successfully separated the MergeQuake weapon from Beatrix's mech with a powerful punch. Lloyd and Arin engage in a fierce battle with Beatrix, aiming to gain possession of the MergeQuake weapon. Just as Beatrix created a rift behind them, Lloyd and Arin swiftly eject from their mechs, narrowly avoiding being pulled into the rift. Beatrix intended to eliminate Lloyd and Arin once and for all, but Sora tapped into her True Potential and obliterated the MergeQuake weapon. Arin knocked Beatrix into a MergeQuake. Lloyd acknowledged Sora's Elemental Powers, expressing his belief that she possessed it all along. However, Zane urgently pointed out that MergeQuake Storm that had begun.
Lloyd, Zane, and Arin sailed on the Destiny's Bounty towards the Crossroads. Lloyd was resolute in preventing the disaster, focusing on acquiring the pink Dragon Core to complement the yellow and purple ones they already had. Unfortunately, their progress was impeded when the ship's engine malfunctioned and the sails tore, leading to a dangerous descent. Zanth intervened by showcasing her latent abilities, enlarging herself to lift the Destiny's Bounty towards' the Crossroads. The storm threatened to engulf many citizens, but the ninja came to their rescue. Lloyd worried about retrieving the pink Dragon Core in time, but Zane reassured him that he had arranged for Alfonzo to deliver it. When Alfonzo arrived with the core, Lloyd praised him as the dependable Assistant Keeper of the Monastery of Spinjitzu. The ninja hesitated on their next move until Zane brought up the Source Dragons, prompting Sora to propose that Lloyd, as a conduit, could tap into the Dragon Cores due to his connection to the Source Dragons' life force. Arin voiced worries for Lloyd's well-being, but Lloyd remained resolute in his decision to proceed. Despite facing chaos, Lloyd persevered, drawing strength from the ninja's ethos of never giving up. Recalling Wu's teachings on finding inner peace, Lloyd powered up, triggering a shockwave from the Dragon Cores that sealed the rifts and stabilized the Merged Realms. Lloyd was taken aback when Kai, Wyldfyre, and Riyu unexpectedly landed on top of him, discovering that those who were sucked into the MergeQuake were not obliterated as they had thought. Everyone else who was sucked in returned unscathed. Sora suggested that the ninja should bring the Dragon Cores back to the Temple of the Dragon Cores, but Lloyd insisted on sacrificing them to release the captive Source Dragon. He believed that the Dragon Cores could prevent the adverse consequences of the Source Dragon's liberation, just as they had done with the MergeQuakes.
Lloyd was determined to venture to the Kingdom of Imperium alone, but Riyu was eager to accompany him, particularly to meet the Source Dragon. The Source Dragon, in turn, questioned Lloyd's grasp of the immense power contained within the Dragon Cores, highlighting their potential and capabilities. Lloyd confessed his lack of understanding, prompting the Source Dragon to explain that all Elemental Powers stemmed from his kind, emphasizing the dragon power condensed within the Dragon Cores held by Lloyd. Surprised, Lloyd inquired about the origins of Elemental Powers, learning that the Source Dragon was one of the seven responsible for such powers. Despite the Source Dragon's curiosity about Lloyd's selfless act of freeing him, Lloyd insisted it was the right thing to do. The Source Dragon hinted at someone being correct about Lloyd, leading Lloyd to ask for clarification, but the dragon diverted the conversation by questioning Riyu's identity. Ultimately, the Source Dragon accepted Lloyd's sacrifice of the Dragon Cores, resulting in the dragon's liberation from the glass core.
Upon their return to the monastery, Lloyd found Arin practicing Object Spinjitzu with throwing stars at a Wyldmelon. Lloyd complimented Arin's throwing skills, but Arin was frustrated at not being able to perform Object Spinjitzu without fear. Lloyd reassured Arin that it was natural to feel scared, especially after losing a lot in the Merge, and encouraged him to channel those emotions into something positive. Meanwhile, Nya and Zane talk about the ninja's experiences with Wu's ghost, causing Lloyd to believe that they're just scratching the surface of the secrets of the Merged Realms.

Lloyd had return to the Monastery where he found Kai, Cole, Arin, and Sora, who were, along with Riyu, covered in noodles when they were supposed to be back hours ago after getting lunch. The four then told him of the Crossroads's annual Noodle cook-off which ended with the Crossroads suffering a week's worth of cleaning up the noodle mess.

They Gather for the Feast
The ninja, including Lloyd, found Arin and Frak and the former introduced latter to the team. When Frak left, Lloyd told Arin they were officially invited to the Tournament of the Sources and were getting a tour of the city. He also introduced Roby and Bleckt to Arin. He and the rest of the ninja walked through the City of Temples and Roby showed them a piece of art on a stone wall representing the source dragons. Zant-Tanz saw Lloyd and Arin and said he was happy to see them. Lloyd was confused on how Zant-Tanz could participate in the tournament, so the latter demonstrated his elemental mastery over plants by being the Elemental Master of plants .
Later, the ninja and Lloyd, sporting a kimono, entered the banquet hall and saw many Elemental Masters. Roby showed the team around the banquet hall. Lloyd tried to talk to Zur but the latter did not respond. Lloyd bumped into Ras but their conversation was interrupted by a bell Roby was ringing and imitating. Later, Zeatrix burst in the room and expressed her anger towards the ninja for dethroning her sister.
Later in their quarters, Lloyd and the other ninja discussed who could have killed the Matriarch and taken her horns. The ninja eventually went to sleep. In the middle of the night, a mysterious person snuck into their quarters and attempted to stab Lloyd, but he woke up in time to roll away. The person attempted to escape, but the group managed to catch them. Lloyd tried to get information out of them. Security bots swarmed Lloyd and the stranger before Lloyd explained what happened and the other ninja came to back him up. Lloyd pulled back the hood of the person to reveal it is a bot before it proceeded to glitch and break down. Lloyd tried to tell the crowd that Ras was behind the attack but to his surprises Ras threw an bot on Lloyd's and so did Zur. Later, when everyone was led to believe Zant-Tanz was behind the bot attack, Lloyd tried to convince everyone it was not him, but everyone wanted the mucoid out of the tournament.
Inside the Maze
Nya ran back to the team to tell Lloyd that she saw Jay in the crowd. Together, they tried to find Jay but did not succeed. Nya expressed how much she missed Jay to him. Lloyd comforts her saying he also misses Jay.
The next day Lloyd went to ask Roby about the competitions but Roby refused to tell him who is fighting who to make everything exciting. Later at the Games Plaza, Lloyd and Nya dragged Wyldfyre to the rest of the team after she almost got into a fight with Cinder. Lloyd reminded the ninja the fate of the merged realms rests on their shoulders. Wyldfyre said the team should use Rising Dragon to win but Lloyd insisted they fight honorably. When Roby announced Zane and Zur as the first two elemental masters competing against one another, Lloyd encouraged Zane not to worry about losing. When Zane lost, Lloyd started to doubt his instruction to fight with honor is right, but Zane responded, saying it was not the ninja way to fight with excessive force. A few moments later, Lloyd stood with the other ninja stood in shock when they saw Jay with the Wolf Clan.
Cole panicky thought Ras had set up a fake Jay. Lloyd quickly reminded him that they were all in the dark about Jay's fate since his disappearance during the Merge. As the second match commenced, Nya hesitated to confront Jay, but Lloyd insisted that they had no other option. He observed Jay preparing to don a Wolf Mask to unleash Shatterspin. Arin feared that Jay was on the verge of losing his inherent goodness, but Lloyd darkly asserted that Jay had already crossed that line. After Nya triumphed over Jay, Lloyd refrained from celebrating alongside Cole and Zane. When Ras expelled Jay from the Wolf Clan, Lloyd confided in Sora that, despite their victory, they had ultimately lost Jay to the forces of evil.
United We Fall
Lloyd and the other ninja went to the Wolf Clan's quarters in search of Jay. In response, Ras justified his actions, claiming he had been the only one to help Jay after his loss his memory and mocked the Ninja for being called his "friends". Getting impatient, Lloyd demands Ras to let them see Jay, only for Ras to reveal he sent Jay away for his failure. When Nya wanted to go after Jay and save him, Lloyd and the other ninja reminded her that the Tournament of the Sources was a threat to the Merged Realms. Lloyd promised Nya they would find Jay after the tournament ended.
The following day, Lloyd and Zane watched Nya train at the Games Plaza from afar. Nya broke a piece of wood that flew through the air. Lloyd caught it before it could hit Zane and they talked about how angry she seemed. A few minutes after, Lloyd, along with Zane, entered the ninja's quarters. Lloyd told the frustrated Sora to find calm and reminded her that their only goal was to prevent Ras from winning the competition. Later, Lloyd and the other ninja watched Sora and Kizzy's match. After Wyldfyre and Cinder were announced as the next two competitors, Lloyd reminded Wyldfyre to focus on winning the game instead of getting revenge for Kai.
Later in the night, Lloyd discussed the Wolf Clan's ability to use the Gong of Shattering along with the other ninja before Cinder showed up to insult them. When Cinder pretended to be hurt by the ninja, Roby and Bleckt checked out the commotion and the former reminded Lloyd and the other ninja that they were to be exiled from the tournament if they had bullied other competitors. Bleckt ordered the security bots to have the ninja escorted out of the city. After Zane invoked the Cavern Run, the ninja discussed their need for a vehicle. At the race, Lloyd, along with Sora, Cole and Nya, showed up with the Combo Vehicle. Lloyd told Arin the race would be a good time to do some detective work. Roby commenced the race. Later in the race, the team entered the green zone.
Truth and Lies
During the Cavern Run, Lloyd along with Sora, Nya and Cole ran into a cave-in inside the tunnel with no other way through. The combined vehicle broke through the wall after Sora combined to four vehicles together. They overtook the pace dragon and won the race. Roby announced that the ninja were still in the Tournament of the Sources and Lloyd heaved a sigh of relief.
At the Games Plaza, Lloyd and the other ninja rooted for Euphrasia during her battle with Zeatrix. A few minutes after Tox's fight with Nokt, Lloyd and the other ninja helped Tox get up and onto a stretcher. Later, Lloyd fought Mr. Pale. Mr.Pale blinded Lloyd with a beam of light, prompting the latter to ask the former about his new ability. Then, Mr. Pale turned invisible and Lloyd used Spinjitzu. Dust flew onto Mr. Pale and revealed his location. Lloyd kicked Mr. Pale off the floating platform and Roby declared Lloyd the winner. Roby used the Elemental Cup to transfer Mr. Pale's elemental power of Light to Lloyd. Lloyd later went on to witness Cole and Frak's match with the other ninja. After the match, Cole told the rest of the ninja that the matches seemed weighted against them. Lloyd agreed saying he had suspicions.
Sometime later, Lloyd, Nya and Sora trained. Sora accidentally performed a double backflip and landed on one leg, causing Lloyd to ask Sora about her move. She reminded him she had gained the elemental power of Balance after her previous match. Lloyd told Sora she would not achieve Spinjitzu if she was distracted. She replied saying that there was a lot on her mind.
Later, when Roby announced Nya and Nokt as the next two competitors, Nokt reminded Nya about Kai and Jay. Lloyd told Nya that Nokt was merely trying to get in her head. After the match, The ninja regrouped and Lloyd tried to encourage them. Lloyd and the other Ninja watched Sora and Cinder's fight.
Later at night, Lloyd was asleep when a yellow orb flew through the sky and into the ninja's quarters.
The Sword Shatters
Lloyd woke up the rest of the ninja and they all walked out of their quarters except for Wyldfyre. Lloyd told her to warm up with the rest of the group, but she was reluctant to do so as she had lost her Heat power. Lloyd eventually convinced Wyldfyre to warm up and saw Nya packing her belongings, heading off to find Jay. Nya expressed her worry about Jay shattering his goodness and Lloyd assured her there has to be a way to heal it. Lloyd left the room. Later, Lloyd and some of the other ninja walked into their quarters and saw Arin doing some detective work. The group discussed the possible suspects, with Lloyd assuming Zeatrix might be behind it due to her city use to being powered by dragon power. Suddenly, Lloyd got a vision of Zeatrix with a sword that shattered. Lloyd believed this vision meant he would fight Zeatrix and lose.
At the Games Plaza, Sora asked Lloyd, Zane and Cole where Riyu went. Later, Lloyd fought Arccrack and won easily. Numerous Elemental Masters fought each other. This left Lloyd, Nokt, Zeatrix and Sora in the Tournament. Roby declared that he planned a bonus game and announced Lloyd and Zeatrix as the next two competitors. Lloyd recognized the crystal sword from his vision in the Gauntlet. During the fight, Lloyd both broke an obstacle and grabbed a weapon. Lloyd used the power of Size to avoid Zeatrix's attack. According to Sora, Lloyd seemed to be running more than fighting. Lloyd almost knocked her off the platform but instead of landing the final blow, he went invisible using the power of Light and tried to look for the sword from his visions. Zeatrix found him using the power of Sound and created a bomb using the power of Surface Tension and Shockwave. Lloyd shot the bomb with Energy and the collision caused the floating platform to break.
Lloyd rested during the intermission and Sora told him he was losing to his own fear. She encouraged Lloyd using his own words. The match recommenced and Zeatrix grabbed the sword from Lloyd's visions. Lloyd grabbed a hammer and used it, along with the power of Size, to knock Zeatrix off the platform. Roby declared Lloyd the winner but Zeatrix jumped up and hit Lloyd with the sword. The sword shattered and the hit knocked Lloyd off the platform, rendering him unconscious.
Clues and Suspects
Cole, Zane, Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Geo surrounded the unconscious Lloyd in the ninja's quarters.
Later, In Lloyd's vision, he saw Arin on the Wolf warriors' side and Zeatrix wielding the sword she used to knock him unconscious. The Source Dragon of Motion chased them away and obliterated the Blood Moon. Lloyd said he had failed the Source Dragon but she told Lloyd that he had to win. Lloyd woke up and walked to the Games Plaza, his arrival shocking everyone. Roby gave Lloyd Zeatrix's powers with the Elemental Cup and the match commenced. Nokt and Lloyd fought when Bleckt suddenly yelled to stop the fight. He claimed Lloyd was too unwell to fight in the Tournament. Roby sadly agreed and transferred Lloyd's powers to Nokt.
The Final Game
In the Games Plaza, Lloyd recommended Sora to try being herself when she lamented her inability to use the powers like the competitors who originally had them.
Lloyd, along with Zane, witnessed and discussed Sora's face off against Nokt. During the fight, Arin approached Lloyd and told him they had found the dragon crowns. Lloyd revealed that Nokt was determined to control all elemental powers and was likely planning to use them and the horns together to reach the Source Dragons. He instructed Arin and Zane to get the crowns out of the Monastery while he stayed to coach Sora.
When Roby was about to absorb Sora's powers at the victory ceremony, Lloyd said she was amazing in the Tournament and even better than he was. After they watched Wyldfyre and Zur arrive and accuse the tournament of being rigged, When Nokt gained the rest of the Elemental Powers, Lloyd started to fight him but he and the other ninja were blasted by Nokt's Shockwave. Lloyd stood in shocked when Rox and Nokt disclosed that they were responsible for the deaths of the three Arc Dragons. Lloyd watched as Rox and Nokt betrayed Ras and turned the Wolf warriors against the tiger. Lloyd and the other ninja got ready to battle.
Elements of Betrayal
As the fight broke out, Lloyd briefed Sora on the Monastery of Gates and the Crowns of Horns. He was still taken aback to learn of Ras' innocence regarding the Arc Dragons' demise. Sora advised him not to dwell on it, noting that no one would suspect Jordana was under the control of a member of the Forbidden Five. Lloyd expressed urgency in heading to the Monastery to confront Nokt, but it became clear that Nokt and Rox had already advanced there. Observing Ras and Roby departing with the same intent, Lloyd emphasized the necessity of stopping Nokt. Frak reassured him that the ninja should proceed while the Elemental Masters fight the Wolf Clan. After confirming Frak's insistence, Lloyd, Sora, and Wyldfyre used the Ninja Team Combo Vehicle to rendezvous with the remaining ninja at the rock bridge.
As they approached the Monastery of Gates, Lloyd declared that the Forbidden Five would not escape. Alongside the ninja and Ras, he confronted Nokt, who unleashed an Energy attack at Lloyd. During the skirmish, Lloyd was impressed to see Arin execute a proper Spinjitzu tornado and asked about his training, only to receive a curt response that he had not learned it from Lloyd. Witnessing Arin and Ras standing together, Lloyd realized Ras' influence over Arin, leaving him disheartened, especially as he and Sora saw Arin defending Ras against Nokt. Nya harnessed dragon power on the Crowns of Horns, successfully liberating Kai and Bonzle from the Nether-Space. A confrontation ensued between Kai and Nokt, with Nokt gaining the advantage and preparing to eliminate Kai. However, Roby used the Elemental Cup to strip Nokt of his usurped powers, restoring them to their rightful owners, including Lloyd, who regained Energy. The ninja cornered Nokt, who managed to escape with the rest of the Forbidden Five through a portal gate, taking Ras along. Despite protests from Lloyd and Sora, Arin pursued them. Just as Lloyd and Sora approached the portal gate, the Forbidden Five destroyed it, leaving them upset. While the ninja celebrated Kai's return, Lloyd was taken aback by the appearance of Wu in his Sprite form.
At the Games Plaza, Lloyd and the other ninja took the stage as Roby announced Sora as the Champion of the Sources. Following the ceremony, Lloyd sat next to Sora on Foundation Street, where she asked about Jordana's whereabouts. Lloyd responded that Jordana had vanished after assisting the ninja. He humorously remarked on Jordana's apparent reluctance to speak with Sora, now recognized as the greatest Elemental Master in the Merged Realms, recalling how Sora once insisted she lacked Elemental Powers. Sora expressed her gratitude to Lloyd, stating she could not have achieved victory without his support. She also shared her concerns about a disagreement with Arin during the tournament, to which Lloyd reassured her that they would find Arin. As they passed Roby and Wyldfyre, Lloyd informed Wyldfyre of their departure, only to be dragged by Sora. He then joined Sora and Wyldfyre in using the portal gate to Ninjago, heading back to the Monastery of Spinjitzu.
In the Monastery's courtyard, Lloyd sat before Master Wu's portrait, a photo of Arin beside him. The Source Dragon of Motion appeared behind him, prompting Lloyd to apologize for not preventing the Forbidden Five's escape. The Source Dragon reassured him that the true aim was to reveal the identity of the entity responsible for the Arc Dragons' demise. Although the Forbidden Five had evaded capture, their schemes had been temporarily thwarted, and it was crucial to acknowledge Lloyd's success in preventing Ras from reaching the Source Dragons. The Source Dragon of Motion urged Lloyd to have confidence in himself, recalling how Sora triumphed in the Tournament of the Sources with Lloyd's support. As a token of recognition, the Source Dragon bestowed upon Lloyd a Dragon Icon, instructing him to summon her in times of dire need. After her departure, Lloyd approached Wu’s memorial, gazing at Arin’s photo.
