It is an age-old language, banned centuries ago when its users have grown too powerful.
Theroxian is an ancient language and culture[1] used by the Forbidden Five. It is closely linked to dark practices and is regarded as an evil form of communication. It is commonly used in scrolls that provide instructions for performing the Ritual of the Blood Moon and the usage of Theroxian magic.
History
Background
The Theroxian language and its culture has existed prior to the formation of the Forbidden Five.[1] Millennia ago, the Forbidden Five discovered and used Theroxian, which had magic that allowed the Five to communicate, as well as granting them immense power when spoken, although the use of the language got into their heads until it corrupted them. The language then became closely linked to dark practices, such as instructions for performing a Blood Moon ritual. After the Forbidden Five was defeated and exiled at the hands of Egalt, Rontu, Bonzle, and Gandalaria, the remaining Theroxian scrolls were contained in the Shadow Dojo, which was sealed off by the dragons. At some point before the Blood Moon's rising, some Theroxian scrolls made their way to the Cloud Kingdom archives.[2]
The Blood Moon
While inside the Shadow Dojo, Jordana tries to read some scrolls, but didn't recognize the language. While Ras tells Jordana that they'll learn all of the "ancient secrets" described in the scrolls through patience, they're both met up by Cinder.
Shattered Dreams
After conquering the Cloud Kingdom, the Wolf warriors forced the Writers of Destiny to translate the Theroxian language. Zane scanned them while he and the Ninja were sneaking in, but did not recognize it.
Beyond the Phantasm Cave
Jordana continued to study the Theroxian scrolls while Cinder practiced Shatterspin.
Jordana later approaches Ras and disclosed her knowledge of the spell to free the Forbidden Five, obtained through her crystal ball, indicating that Bonzle could be found in the Land of Lost Things.
Secrets of the Wyldness
When Jordana went to capture Bonzle in the magical storagehouse, she used her new magic to corrupt the protective container containing Bonzle. Theroxian runes appeared around the container which Zane recognized as the forbidden language.
The Forest of Spirits
After the last of the Theroxian texts were translated, Ras ordered the Wolf warriors to destroy the Writers and their place. The runes of the Theroxian language still appeared on the container.
Rising Ninja
When Ras arrives with Bonzle, he pronounces the incantation to the Ritual of the Blood Moon causing Bonzle to be released and the runes on the container to disappear, allowing Jordana to control Bonzle's form to open the Nether-Space.

Trivia
- According to Doc Wyatt, Theroxian was made by the show designers from Ninjargon with some changes to look different.[3]
- Some times, Theroxian appears as Ninjargon instead of its own writing, for example in "Secrets of the Wyldness" the inscriptions on Bonzle's Protective container are written in Ninjargon ("Evil Dojo" and "Wolf Clan") while Zane describes them as Theroxian. The inscriptions at the Shadow Dojo and on the Wolf Clan members' suits are also Ninjargon.
