I was born in 1970. I did my undergraduate degree and PhD at the University of Cambridge; my PhD was in the field of circle packing and supervised by Keith Carne. After a couple of very unproductive years as a research fellow at one of the Cambridge colleges, I moved into the technology industry, where I have been working (mostly as a mathematician) ever since.
