Rita Suerte is a member of the Wandering Clan and the first Sky Priestess. She studied the Divine Breath and managed to subdue it on its rampage,[3] and is the ancestor of Lim.[1]
Appearance
When projecting her memory into Memoria, Rita looks nearly identical to Lim. However, all color is replaced by a white light that shines off her.
Her appearance in life is unknown.
Abilities and Powers
Rita was a very intelligent woman, and was the scientist that discovered how to control the Divine Breath. As a Sky Priestess, she retained this power, and the ability to create and access Memoria.
History
Past
While living on Waford in the sky, Rita studied the Divine Breath alongside the other Wandering Clan researchers. When it began rampaging, Rita thought to seal it inside the Tower of Heaven, managing to stop it.[3] After it was sealed, the Divine Breath would only communicate with Rita, causing her to be known as the Sky Priestess.[2]
Some time later, the trial of the Sky Priestess was designed using her memories.[5]
One Piece Odyssey
Reunion of Memories
When the Divine Breath and the Large Mukashic Cube forced the Straw Hat Pirates into Memoria, Rita used gaps created by Lim's clone to enter and try to rescue them. She led them to information about Waford's past to hint at how to escape, and when Lim broke free of the Divine Breath's control, was able to evacuate them to Archivio.
After explaining the history of the Divine Breath to the pirates, Rita remained in Archivio to watch over the clone Lim while the pirates confronted the Large Mukashic Cube.
When Luffy destroyed the Large Mukashic Cube, Rita warned the clone Lim that they would be destroyed, along with every other Mukashic Cube on the island. However, she was ultimately able to enter the Cube and maintain the existing cubes using her own power, saving Lim.
