Makamaryu

Makamaryu (魔鎌流, Makamaryū^?, literally meaning "Demon Sickle Style") is a unique fighting style that utilizes sickles, more specifically those attached to chains known as kusarigama, effectively in combat. The style focuses largely on swinging the weapon in wide arcs around one's body, before launching it outwards towards an opponent. This can be done with either the sickle or chain portion of the weapon, the former being used to gore an opponent directly while the latter can be used to bind a limb or weapon, immobilize an opponent, or even bludgeon the _target.

Teruko refers to her own usage of the style as the Dance of Death (, Dance of Death^?) due to the dangerous feats she performs with the weapons. She focuses on utilizing multiple kusarigama in conjunction with each other, wrapping the chains around her forearms or wrist as an anchor in order to allow her to control the trajectory of her weapons. While this utilization of the sickles isn't overly dangerous, Teruko performs it with four of them at once, a variable juggling act of spinning blades and chains.

With the way she uses her sickles, they are often thrown out in a straight line or wide arc, Teruko using her limbs or body to stop the path of the chain and wrapping around her. This reduces the range of her attacks, but allows her to change the direction of her attacks at a moment's notice, allowing her to execute quick feints whenever she so desires or modify her attack to _target a previously unseen opponent.

This style, due to its regular method of execution as well as Teruko's own, is just as dangerous to the user as it is to their _targets, necessitating a near perfect awareness of one's own body, their weapons, as well as their opponent's positioning in order to be used effectively and with the lowest chance of self-harming in an attempt to take down their foe.
