At DPLAFest, and talking to the DPLA team, one of the things that suggested for external orgs, especially those working in the institutional repository or aggregation space, was to provide an OAI-PMH endpoint.

Talking to Brion Vibber, it seems like a low-hanging possibility, and there are other ways to make it more useful: for example, we should be able to export sets of Commons metadata based on a query.
