I can videocast my presentation done at Wikimania (T168308). Many people have said it was a good one.
This new page is basically orphan today: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Language_guides
I'm pasting the link here partly to consider it for the training, partly to encourage you (who know well the documentation for translators) to add it in the relevant places.
About Translate extension… If it is a translate adminship part it is about I'd first do it for existing translate admins. I have a feeling that many translate admins from both sides (volunteers/staff) have not read or have not read carefully enough the documentation. (Though it looks sever to me with staff as those get the flags by decree and thus have 0 review, while with community process some at least are asked about the docs)
I assume that when we talk about training we would start with documentation (as opposed to start with providing training in e.g. online sessions). Pushing this task under CommRel-Documentation
This task has been assigned to the same task owner for more than two years. Resetting task assignee due to inactivity, to decrease task cookie-licking and to get a slightly more realistic overview of plans. Please feel free to assign this task to yourself again if you still realistically work or plan to work on this task - it would be welcome!
For tips how to manage individual work in Phabricator (noisy notifications, lists of task, etc.), see https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T228575#6237124 for available options.
(For the records, two emails were sent to assignee addresses before resetting assignees. See T228575 for more info and for potential feedback. Thanks!)
Tagging open CommRel-Documentation tasks with MoveComms-Support as Community-Relations does not exist anymore per https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/profile/3448/ . Feel free to set the task status to declined or invalid if this task is not valid anymore and/or if the team moved from public Phabricator to internal WMF tools to plan or manage its work.
Marking as "declined" as this ticket was created at least two team restructures ago and it's not relevant to our current work. If I'm mistaken, go ahead and reopen.
