as it is an error on the user interface, can this please be a bug report? it looks like this happens with a too high percentage of urls. given the number of citations added daily in wikipedia the failure rate for sure is in the thousands.

see here the examples from mediawiki, but on wikipedia this is similar. i remember how long it took me to register an account. i thought it is not beneficial. until i found out that this thing publically logs my IP address on an edit - and what people can do with it. apart from the benefits you mention RHo. and - the benfits on one place which is regularly seen - login - would be very good. create account is too rare and creating an account is necessary for login. create account by itself has no benefit. other than blocking your username.

is there any chance to remove "create account" from the top level and let it be on the login page? there is no obvious help why creating an account is cool. i created one to describe it a little better:

not sure @Aklapper , how would you formulate it to get the "change" links together, and only one time? like move, visual edit, source edit ? to get kind of similar user experience as on mobile?

the scroll bar is there as well for the default TOC without expanding it. there as well it would be nice to not have it. but - there it seems to be more tricky to implement something working i guess as it is floating. so @Aklapper , thank you for restricting the ticket to the one with the button!

am not too sure, in google it remembers what i chose before. if mediawiki could do the same would be cool. preferences would be an option as well - but that would be one parameter more - not so sure it is advisable. or - the ones where my user did edits in the past?

thanks @Aklapper to merge the feature request. @ovasileva @bmartinezcalvo , vector 2022 design is cool but exposes often used links one to three levels too deep. login is one example. i d be really glad if create account coud be replaced with login. and create account stays on the login page itself, as it is with so many other websites. so - login - one click. create account - two clicks (login - create account).

you are right, @AlexisJazz lets leave aside the correct license for chilean government works, apart from that the fact that the upload wizard should not list it, otherwise we have hundreds for every country.

@AnneT , related to here, the former european director of creative commons, cory doctorow, got _targetted by a copyleft troll, see his post: A Bug in Early Creative Commons Licenses Has Enabled a New Breed of Superpredator. he recommends now to use cc-by-sa-4.0 and higher. to reliably get rid of such trolls, two actions should be taken imo. first, require cc 4.0+ and second, embed the link to the license and/or source with the license into the images metadata. INTO the file. so if somebody downloads and uses it the correct metadata is there. @Tgr i saw your comment about this beeing scary in your comment T250317#6178173, on T5361 ... but this one single link to the source should suffice to extinct trolls. everything else can be fixed via license, or viewers.

when using on laptop screens it stops beeing responsive from 50% of the laptop screens witdht on and does not use the available space any more:

• a lot of white space left and right
• items stil with 2 clicks like "my contributions"
• same is valid for editing - the edit area is tiny
• the font is not the operating system default font and default font size

ah really, you r right. it is responsive from 0 to 50% of a small laptop screen. then it stops adapting. attached an editing window screenshot. looks same with firefox and chromium. if i click "legacy vector" it uses the whole screen width. adding ?safemode=1 does not affect the width as well.

cool - i saw how this works, thanks for the hint! this is not the most intuitive fried i saw in my life i must admit :) :)
