Roxie is the Poison-type Gym Leader in Unova.
Appearance
Roxie is a medium height, slim young girl with bright blue eyes, pale skin and long layered white hair tied in a high, spiky ponytail with a purple and blue cherry bobble. Roxie wears a loose sky blue dress with magenta-purple stripes over a black vest top and long black boots with teal platforms. Roxie is often seen with her symbolic black bass with purple stripes.
Personality
Punkish and rebellious, Roxie befits the stereotype of a typical Rocker. She is a passionate musician, who enjoys her band very much. Interestingly, her choice of Pokémon type suites various real life rock songs and themes for example "Poison" sung by famous singer, Alice Cooper.
She is shown to be rather determined and stubborn, as she was adamant in forcing her father to do his job as a sailor, and when she knew that he quit his sailor job to venture into Pokéstar Studios, she furiously blurted out "idiot" for eight times. However, she still cares for her father, as she comforted him after knowing that he was mocked by the audience for his movie.
Etymology
The name Roxie comes from "rock", referring to the genre of music, and "toxic".
Her Japanese name, Homika, comes from the Japanese name for the Nux vomica, a poisonous tree.
Biography
In Black 2 and White 2, Roxie is the second Gym Leader the player character meets and battles. She is a poison type Gym Leader. After you defeat her she will help the player character fight Team Plasma before you sail off. She will go back to her Gym after.

- Roxie is the first Gym leader to make an appearance in the anime before her debut in the games.
- Roxie's instrument appears to be designed after the Venipede family.
- Roxie is left-handed.
- Roxie is the first Poison-type Gym leader since Kanto's Koga and his daughter Janine.
- Roxie's Whirlipede is underleveled as her Venepede should have evolved at Level 22.
