String Shot is a Bug-type move introduced in Generation I.

Description

Games	Description
GSC	A move that lowers the foe's SPEED.
RSE	Binds the foe with string to reduce its SPEED.
FRLG	The foe is bound with strings shot from the mouth to reduce SPEED.
DPPtHGSS	The foe is bound with silk blown from the user's mouth. It reduces the _target's Speed stat.
BWB2W2	The _targets are bound with silk blown from the user's mouth. This silk reduces the _targets' Speed stat.
XYORAS	The opposing Pokémon are bound with silk blown from the user's mouth that harshly lowers the Speed stat.
SMUSUMPE	The opponents are bound with a white silk from the user's mouth. This will also lower their Speed stat.

Effect

In battle

From Generation I to Generation V, String Shot lowers the _target's Speed by 1 stage. As of Generation VI, String Shot lowers the _target's Speed by 2 stages. In a Double Battle, String Shot _targets both foes. In a Triple Battle, String Shot only _targets adjacent foes.
