The Bandora Protocol was a plan created with the intention of protecting Earth from the possible return of Robo-Rita.
History
After one of Billy's attempts to resurrect Zordon failed, he accidentally awakened the particles of Rita Repulsa's evil personality that were created after her purification by the Z-Wave. This evil personality used the body of Alpha 8 to create a robotic version of herself. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers tried to fight Robo-Rita and her army of Putties, but were unable to stop her, resulting in the death of Trini Kwan. Following this event, the Rangers created the Bandora Protocol, which was meant to protect Earth from Robo-Rita's future attack, alerting all Ranger teams when she returned.
One year later, Robo-Rita finally re-emerged and unleashed various groups of Putties all over the world, this prompted Alpha 9 to initiate the Bandora Protocol, alerting all the Ranger teams to reach their assigned stations for the fight. Unfortunately, Robo-Rita also revives Snizzard and Mighty Minotaur in new robotic bodies, the two were able to track and capture Rangers as long as they were morphed based on their grid fluctuation coordinates. Robo-Rita managed to capture 16 Rangers from different Ranger teams, including previous MMPR Rangers Tommy, Jason and Kimberly, whom she later used to power up a time-travel machine in hopes of killing the Mighty Morphin team before Zordon made them Rangers.
The Mighty Morphin team was later able to rescue the captured Rangers after destroying Robo-Rita, Robo-Snizzard, and Robo-Minotaur. With Robo-Rita's plan thwarted, the captured Rangers were released and brought to the S.P.A.'s med-bay for recovery.
