Extra Heroes

This article is about a list of heroes in the Super Sentai series.

Extra Heroes (番外ヒーロー, Bangai Hīrō) are sentai-allies who are similar to Rangers but cannot be classified as such. Most Extra Heroes are either aliens or mechanic beings. Blue is the most common color of Extra Hero, with four heroes being blue, followed by two Black Heroes, one Gold Hero, one Green Hero, one White Hero and one Brown Hero. The only Extra Hero that didn't participate in the Great Legend War and had their powers become Ranger Keys without an explanation was Gunmazin. (Ninjaman has an exception with him being trapped during in a jar).

• Ninjaman is a mechanical-like protege of the Three God Generals who assists the Kakurangers.
• Gunmazin is a wish-granting tiki/warrior that assists the Ohrangers.
• Signalman is an alien officer from planet Police who both assists and hinders the Carrangers
• BullBlack was an alien of planet Taurus working alongside but not with the Gingamen.
• Great Sword Man Zubaan is the Lemurian "Golden Sword" who assists the Boukengers.
• Rio was a former Geki-Juken Beast Arts student who rebelled and became the leader of the Confrontation Beast-Fist Akugata to ultimately reunite the two schools and fight alongside the Gekirangers. He was later killed during the battle with Long.
• Mele was a Chameleon-Fist Ririnshi who was revived and transformed by Rio into his servant and who fell in love with her new leader. She ultimately joins Rio and works with the Gekirangers after leaving Akugata. She was also killed by Long, and faithfully waited for Rio to join her in the afterlife.
• Sonoi is the leader of the Noto Trio. Initially an enemy to the Donbrothers and the rival of Don Momotaro, he and his team later came to later identify with the team.
• Sononi is a member of the Noto Trio. Initially an enemy, she and her team later came to identify with the Donbrothers
• Sonoza is a member of the Noto Trio. Initially an enemy, he and his team later came to identify with the Donbrothers

Debatable

• Shota Yamamori is Magne Warrior, he only appeared for two episodes, and is one of the two test characters for later full fledged Sixth Rangers.
• Dan is Birdman, a warrior from the back dimension planet of Dimensia who came to Earth to assist the Jetmen.
  • The Back Dimension Dimensian Soldiers are a Sentai-like team made up of Birdmen. Besides Dan, only Kanna and Ray survived Vyram's attack on their realm.
• VRV Master is a mysterious masked figure who provides assistance and mechs for the Carrangers. He is in actuality an alien from planet Hazard who is the father of Dapp.
• Hyuga is the successor of the Black Knight powers, likewise working on both sides. He was originally intended to be GingaRed before giving his power to his young brother Ryoma when he fell into a chasm caused by Captain Zahab. He has alternatively been classified as a Sixth Ranger, so his status as an Extra Hero is up for debate.
• Zeek is an member of an unnamed clan who formerly fought the Juuma Demon Clan and worked with the GoGoFive to defeat them until his death.
  • Kyoko Hayase is an ally of GoGoFive who briefly used Zeek's power.
• Ryo Knight is a character created by Haru Tokashiki that was based on his older brother & temporarily came to life.
