Mazins are the villains of The High School Heroes. They are humans who transform into monsters using the Mazin System. All of the Mazins are based on members of the Black Cross Army from Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. In their transformed states, the mazins all have giant nails driven through their hearts, reflecting how their transformation is fueled by the pain in their hearts. The influence of the Mazin System drives them to commit acts of violence against those who have caused them pain. When a mazin is defeated, they revert back to their human form. A mazin can also be changed back if they learn to accept themselves and overcome the pain in their hearts.
