This article is about a concept in the Super Sentai and Power Rangers franchises.
Redecoing is a form of repurposing used in television production and toy production that involves modifying an existing design (but not going as far as physically changing the sculpt or form as in retool) to create new concepts or characters.
In toys redecoes and repaints differ in that redecos also change the base plastic color used, while repaint only changes the paint.
Examples of redecoes in Super Sentai Series
TV shows
- Max Victory Robo Black Version is a black and gold repaint of Max Victory Robo. This marks the first time a black and gold repaint (see below) appears in the show.
- Originally Magis's Gosei Green suit was a redeco of Hyde's Gosei Blue suit. He received an original helmet design courtesy of the Ranger Key toyline.
- Conductor's ToQ-7 helmet is a purple redeco of Akira Nijino's ToQ-6 orange helmet. So is his Transformation SmarPho Applichanger and Ressha.
- Power Rangers Dino Force Brave, a sequel to Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger utilizes a number of redecoes.
- The Brave Dino Force Rangers, sans Brave Gold Dino, are all redecoes of the Kyoryugers.
- Pteravolt is a redeco of Zyudenryu Pteragordon, and Giga Bragigas is a redeco of Zyudenryu Bragigas.
- Their arsenal is largely redecoed from Kyoryuger.
- The Yodon Changer is a purple, gold, and red redeco of Takamichi Crystaria's Shiny Kiramai Changer.
- Stacy's ZenkaiOh Black JuraGaon is a black, gold, and purple redeco of ZenkaiOh JuraGaon.
- The Kirameki Zenkaiju Gear is a blue and gold redeco of the Zenkaiju Gear.
- The DonZenkai Blade is a white and red redeco of the Zanglassword.
- King-Ohger ZERO is a black/gold redeco of King-Ohger.
- Tarantula Abyss is a black/navy redeco of Jeramie Brasieri's God Tarantula.
- The King Gaburicalibur is a red redeco of the Gaburicalibur.
Toys only
- Several Sentai toylines in the 90's released a black and gold version of the team's primary robo and sometimes an additional robo that combines with it. Examples include Daizyuzin, GingaiOh and Timerobo Shadow.

- Many of the Disney Era Battlizer Morphers are often redeco's of the Sixth/Auxilary Ranger Morphers.
- The Magna Morpher is a redeco of the Omega Morpher.
- The Sentinel Morpher is a redeco of the Mercury Morpher.
- Korvaka is a redeco of cyborg Mig.
Toys only
- Several of the black and gold repaints of Sentai mecha were released in the west.
