The Triptoids are the secondary foot soldiers in Power Rangers Dino Thunder.

History

The Triptoids are black and white amoeba-themed foot soldiers that were originally in the video game "Wizard Wood" in the episode "Game On". However, once Ethan was freed from the effect created by Demagnetron, the Triptoids escaped too and fled to Mesogog's base. Afterwards, they are used as alternative foot soldiers for Zeltrax's and Mesogog's Army alongside the Tyrannodrones. The Triptoids tend to skip around and make a noise.

In the episode "Thunder Storm", the foot soldiers unite with the Kelzaks of Lothor's Army and the Tyrannodrones to fight against the Dino Thunder and Ninja Storm Rangers.

Once Mesogog was seemingly destroyed, the Triptoids began working for Zeltrax. The Triptoids were all seemingly destroyed in "Thunder Struck Part 2" during a massive battle against the Dino Rangers but Ryjack was revealed to have resurrected some of them as his own minions and joined them along with some Putties and Vivix.

• The Triptoids' Sentai counterparts are the main enemy foot soldiers of Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger. Much like the Chromites, Craterites, and Swabbies, the Triptoids were initially replaced in the Power Rangers adaptation by original foot grunts (the Tyrannodrones), though they were later adapted in order to use more Sentai footage. Also like the Craterites, the Triptoids were introduced via a computer glitch.
