Met Life Stadium is a stadium in the New York Metropolitan Area, part of the Metropolitan Sports Complex, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It is home of the New York Giants and New York Jets of the NFL and is adjacent of the former Giants Stadium, which was home to the Giants from 1976 to December 2009 and the Jets from 1984 until January 2010. Like it's predecessor, Met Life Stadium is the only NFL Stadium shared by two teams.
History
On February 16, 2012, it was announced that MetLife Stadium would host WWE WrestleMania 29 on April 7, 2013. It was attended by 80,676 fans and featured matches such as The Undertaker against CM Punk, in which Undertaker increased his winning streak to 21-0 and remaining undefeated at Wrestlemania. The final match on the card featured WWE Champion The Rock defending his title against John Cena. Cena pinned The Rock to claim his eleventh WWE Championship.
