Trivia
- "Brock" is an archaic English word for a badger; it has become a stereotypical name for a "tough guy" character, probably because of its "hard" sound, with its reminiscence of "rock."
- "Octane" is a highly volatile and flammable chemical component of gasoline (fuels with a higher octane rating are used in high-performance gasoline engines); thus, the name "octane" suggests explosive energy and action.
- Brock Octane strongly resembles real-world action star Vin Diesel (born "Mark Sinclair"), both physically and in having a monosyllabic first name and a trochaic surname related to fuel, and also action star Dwayne Johnson, whose name has the same rhythm for Super Macho Man and whose nickname "The Rock" might well have inspired Brock's first name.
- Brock is known as "Brocko Octano" in Latin Spanish.
- A movie cut-out advertising Preschool Sheriff, bearing a strong resemblance to Octane, is seen as a quick visual gag in "Rise of the Planet of the Robo-Apes." This riff on Arnold Schwarzeneggar's Kindergarden Cop is destroyed during the Robo-Apes' "Ape Mode" rampage.
- A character model sheet exists showing Octane in a costume modeled after Indiana Jones's.
- Brock's voice actor is uncredited, but is probably Kevin Michael Richardson.
- He is also the main star of There's Someone in the House movie series, as well as starring in other movies as the main character, such as the Preschool Sheriff movie protagonist as shown in "Rise of the Planet of the Robo-Apes."
- Despite his fame and reputation, he is implied to be a bad role model for teenagers in episodes like "Randy Cunningham's Day Off" (teaching kids to fake sickness), "McNinja - Brought to You by McFist" (indirectly teaching kids to exploit free perks), and "The Brawn Also Rises" (in some cases having help faked many of Brawn's adventures).
