Barbarella Alcazar is a legendary bounty _target featured in Red Dead Online.
History
Background
Born around 1866, Barbarella was married to Ricardo Alcazar, a notorious killer and member of the Del Lobo Gang. After his death, she continued to support herself through the armed robbery and extortion of travelers, gaining a reputation for being just as ruthless and bloodthirsty as her former husband. Declaring herself "La Reina de los Banditos" (Queen of the Outlaws), she formed a large gang of men who were known to show absolute loyalty towards her.
Events of Red Dead Online
The player, upon purchasing a bounty hunter's license, may take the opportunity to track Barbarella to her hideout at Gaptooth Breach in the state of New Austin, where she will be well-protected by her men. In total 34 Del Lobos are staying with Alcazar at the old mine site.
It is possible to kill all of Alcazar's men silently, using weapons like arrows and tomahawks and then to go on to kill Alcazar herself or knock her out. If the player does this, he can take her to the Sheriff's Office, without being attacked by additional enemies during the ride there. If the player uses loud weapons to take out any enemy at the mining site or if he is spotted and a fight ensues in Gaptooth Breach, additional enemies on horses will spawn and attack during the ride to the Sheriff's Office.
If confronted, Barbarella may either try to escape on horseback or start shooting at the player with her rifle. Once tied up, she will make angry threats towards the player, swearing that her men will rescue her and that she will have the player brutally murdered and drag their remains through the streets for everyone to laugh at.
The player can also collect additional bounty money by capturing Barbarella's lieutenants.
Trivia
- She was the first legendary bounty _target to be featured in Red Dead Online.
- At the beginning of the mission, Barbarella will either spawn on top of the tower above the mine, in the foreman's office, or in the building near the entrance to the mine.
- In each place of her appearance, there is a unique dialogue.
- The other two _targets always have the same spawn locations. The first _target is near a large rock on the north side of the mine. The second is located near the border of New Austin in a small section of the miner's camp.
- Depending on where Barbarella appears, the set of footprints that may indicate her location also changes. The other two _targets only have one set of footprints, and they are always the same.
- Barbarella can ride somewhere into the distance, and if the player pursues her for a long enough time, she will suddenly dismount from her horse saying that she is tired of running and will enter into a gunfight with the player.
