Islamski feminizam je oblik feminizma koji se bavi pitanjima žena u islamu. On nastoji postići potpunu jednakost muslimana, bez obzira na spol i rod, u javnom i privatnom životu. Islamske feministkinje promiču ženska prava, jednakost spolova i društvenu pravdu u okviru islama. Iako se islamski feminizam svoj temelj ima u islamu, neki od pionira pokreta su se također koristili elemenitima sekularnog i zapadnog feminizma, te se islamski feminizam često smatra dijelom integralnog globalnog feminističkog pokreta[1]. Pristaše pokreta daju naglasak na učenje u jednakosti u Kuranu i nastoje propitivati patrijarhalno tumačenje islamskog nauka kroz Kuran, hadith (Muhamedove izreke) i šerijat' (pravo) kako bi stvorile društvo pravde i jednakosti.[2] Islamski feminizam se općenito smatra jednim od liberalnih pokreta u islamu.

- Shirin Ebadi - iranska odvjetnica i aktivistica koja je osnovala Društvo za zaštitu ljudskih prava. Također i dobitnica Nobelove nagrade za mir godine 2003. za napore u promicanju demokracije i prava žena i djece.
