New York Dolls je američki rock bend osnovan u New Yorku 1971.^[1] Karakterističan je po tzv. protopunk stilu muzike koji je predstavljao preteču budućeg punk rocka; u vizualnom stulu je preuzeo stil new wavea i glam metal grupa 1980-ih. Njihov opus je uticao na stvaranje njujorške muzičke scene u kojoj će nastati Ramones, Blondie, Television i Talking Heads.^[2]

Godine 2004. se bend ponovno okupio a dva člana - David Johansen i Sylvain Sylvain - nastavljaju nastzpati do danas pod starim imenom. Originalni basist Arthur Kane je umro nedugo nakon ponovnog okupljanja.
