Appearance
Master Robe is someone that has an androgynous and tall figure. Their voice is hoarse, yet clear enough to be understood. They wear a gray robe that covers them from head to toe.
Personality
Master Robe is a very mysterious person. Although they seem to be kind enough to help the two Living Dolls on their late night patrol, but seeming to only have helped the two for their own amusement. They cleverly use their soot to mark pathways, and are very well-informed about the inner workings of the manor. Master Robe has many ulterior motives, and is also a selfish person.

Soot Power
The first Master Robe can create and manipulate scorches, as well as absorbing other Shadows' soot to add to their own. When the number of scorches reach the sufficient number, they can merge them to create a phantom.
Etymology
- Master Robe name came from Emilico's mind after see the mysterious Shadow figure with a "robe". Since Living Dolls need to respect all shadows as "nobles", she found a way to formally adress they.
- In the anime Emilico knows the existence of the robe figure after Barbara tells about they in a meeting with all Dolls, but the name origin is the same.
Trivia
- Prior to the official English localization of the manga and the English subtitles of the anime adaptation, they was referred as The Robed Nobleman in fan translations.
