Jennifer Jane Saunders (born July 6, 1958) is an English comedian, screenwriter and actress who provided the voice of the Fairy Godmother in Shrek 2.
She is best known for writing and starring in the comedy sketch show French and Saunders and her role as Edina Monsoon in Absolutely Fabulous.
Trivia
- During recording sessions for Shrek 2, she insisted the filmmakers to have Fairy Godmother say the line "I'll be back!" before she poofs away. According to Saunders, she did record the line, but it went unused much to her frustration.
