Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
While trying to sleep, it is disturbed by the loud noise of fireworks erupting from the Governor's mansion. Walking towards the building, it rips apart the roof in order to stop the noise and collect humans to presumably eat. Suddenly, Puss in Boots is launched by a cello-playing man to attack the giant. Prepared, it charges towards the cat, only to get the "Spanish splinter" from his sword. Furious, he launches Puss through various apartments, only to find itself using the church bell to attack the feline. Puss then climbs on the giant, frees the kidnapped citizens, and knocks it out with the bell after fiddling with its eye patch.
Trivia
- It is currently unknown what happened to the giant after its defeat.
- The giant is noted to have cylindrical ears similar to the ogres in the Shrek universe, which is notable as both are large humanoids starring as the main antagonists of many fairy tales.
- This also references how Puss in Boots defeated an ogre in the original fairy tale.
- Originally, the giant was going to have cosmic patterns and was part of a duo.
- Even earlier in development, the duo were supposed to be a unique breed of ogres more faithful to the ones found in the original Puss in Boots fairytale.
- The fight between Puss and the giant foreshadows Puss' eight death as during the fight, the bell the giant uses tolls eight times in total including the final time when it drops down and kills Puss. As a church bell is frequently used as iconography of someone's death, the eight times the bell tolls represents Puss's eight deaths so far.
