Cobalt blue is a cool blue colour. Louis Jacques Thénard discovered this color in 1802[1][2]. People make it using cobalt salts. That is why it is called cobalt blue.
Cobalt blue is used by many artists. Many pieces of glassware have this colour. Glassware that has this colour is called cobalt glass.

- Cobalt blue was used in Chinese blue and white porcelain. It was the main blue pigment because it was easy to make. It was first used during the late 1700s and early 1800s. It was very good and they used it for a long time after.[3]
