Jorge H. Queirolo (edit · talk · history · links · watch · logs · delete)

TheAE talk has nominated this page for deletion for the reason:

No English Wikipedia article, no sources, very little Google hits, doesn't explain notability beyond some written works.

Please discuss this deletion below, but keep in mind that you shouldn't vote on everything and that there may be options that are not just "keep" or "delete", such as merging.

Google hits

If you want to see Google hits of Jorge Queirolo Bravo, just try here: [1]

Thank you, I did do that. It doesn't change my mind however. Google hits are not an indicator of notability by themselves, content is important, not just numbers. fr33kman t - c 00:26, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You might find a lot of hits about Jorge Queirolo Bravo, most of them are written in Spanish.

Then we can't really be expected to read them can we? fr33kman t - c 00:26, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

His complete name in Spanish is Jorge H. Queirolo Bravo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.29.134.180 (talkcontribs) 00:21, February 28, 2009 (UTC)

You'd need to provide references to books about him, newspapers articles about him and other sources that are reliable sources and talk about him and establish his notability. Sorry, but without those sources, we can't accept an article about him. fr33kman t - c 00:26, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want sources about the notability of Jorge Queirolo Bravo, just follow the link I gave you. Most hits are written in Spanish, not in English. But you might find a lot of references about him and his books. He is well known in the Spanish speaking countries.--200.29.134.180 (talk) 00:31, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have followed those links, they don't lend anything to his notability. Sorry. fr33kman t - c 00:39, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do you speak or understand Spanish?--200.29.134.180 (talk) 00:42, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I can read at a basic level. All the links lead to either blogs written by him, comments he has made about wikipedia and Jimmy Wales, or other writtings by him. If he were notable enough for an English wikipedia then he would have coverage in international newspapers, magazines, books etc. He has none of those! I'd suggest that you read up on what kind of articles we accept and how to prove notability. fr33kman t - c 00:45, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This guy has a lot of coverage today, but in many newpapers of the Spanish speaking world. He got more coverage than ever when Kved deleted his articles in the Wikipedia. That was the best publicity he ever got.--200.29.134.180 (talk) 00:49, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Read this, this, and this and see what you think then. He may have had coverage in those newspapers, but you didn't put those sources in, nor do we know if they are notable sources either. Read up on the links I gave you! :) fr33kman t - c 00:52, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is notable for you? Not everything is in internet.--200.29.134.180 (talk) 00:54, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fr33kman, don't waste your time. 200.29.134.180 (talk · contribs) is Jorge Queirolo Bravo himself. I'm tracking this guy down since he created this articles in cross-wiki spamming. After that, he started to whine all over the net complaining about censorship. Cheers, Kved (talk) 22:12, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
