Edmond Rostand
French poet and dramatist (1868–1918)
Edmond Eugène Alexis Rostand (UK: /ˈrɒstɒ̃/,[1] US: /rɔːˈstɒ̃, ˈrɒstænd/,[2] French: [ɛdmɔ̃ ʁɔstɑ̃]; 1 April 1868 – 2 December 1918) was a French poet and dramatist. He is known for his works which are known as neo-romanticism. His best known play was the 1897 play Cyrano de Bergerac.
