Jan Reehorst

Dutch politician

Jan Reehorst (21 March 1923 – 4 June 2024) was a Dutch politician. He was a member of the Labour Party. From 1953 until 1973 he was a member of the municipal council, and from 1967 to 1973 also an alderman of Rotterdam.[1] Between 1956 and 1967 he was a member of the House of Representatives. In 1973 he became mayor of Velsen and from 1977 until 1984 he was mayor of Haarlem.[1]

Reehorst was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He turned 100 in March 2023.[2] Reehorst died in Haarlem on 4 June 2024, at the age of 101.[3][4]
