Les Aspin
American politician (1938-1995)
Leslie Aspin Jr. (July 21, 1938 – May 21, 1995) was an American Democratic Party politician and economist. He was the U.S. representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district from 1971 to 1993. He later was the 18th United States Secretary of Defense under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1994.[1]

Aspin died on May 21, 1995 at a hospital in Washington, D.C. from a stroke caused by heart disease, aged 56.[2]
