Sigismund von Schrattenbach
Archbishop of Salzburg
Sigismund Graf von Schrattenbach (28 February 1698 – 16 December 1771) was Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg from 1753 to 1771. Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart worked for him.

Life
changeHe was born in Graz, Styria. He studied theology in Rome. He became a priest in 1723. He was a canon in Salzburg in 1731. He was chosen to be Archbishop of Salzburg in 1753. He employed Leopold Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Michael Haydn as musicians. He died in Salzburg.[1] Michael Haydn performed his Requiem for the funeral service.[2]
