Musashi is a Powerhouse Character. His large size and long reach make him hard to approach while giving him some sluggishness to his blows. He is initially a sub-boss character meant to be overcome with his slow attacks being used against him to the player's opportunities.

In his Last Blade 2 incarnation, many of his gameplay aspects were toned down, particularly in damage and speed. Though as a result, while a rare-to-access character not as available on all ports, Musashi is perfectly balanced.

At times, he is best suited in Power or EX, where his combos deal tremendous damage with the right skill and foresight, reaction speed and hitbox size notwithstanding. With much space control, Musashi requires strong work to reap the benefits of his reads on his opponents.
