The Egg Device resembles a black and red digital disc, having the Eggman Empire sigil on it.

The Egg Device makes its first appearance in the digital comic, where Eggman orders his A.I. to download herself into it since Sonic found out that the "Eggman" he defeated in his Shellcracker-like mecha was a fake and will be making his way alongside Tails and Amy to the Starfall Islands to stop him.
Sonic Frontiers The Egg Device is later planted onto a Portal by Dr. Eggman , who brags that the secrets of the Ancients will be his. During the Device's hacking into Cyber Space, it starts to short-circuit after various Soldiers and the Titan Giganto is summoned while the A.I. informs Eggman that her protective program is beginning when the doctor demands a status report. Eggman attempts to grab the Device in an attempt to take it off the Portal, but is dragged into Cyber Space. The Device is not seen for the rest of the game, due to the fact that the A.I., now known as Sage, has taken its place.
The device itself makes an appearance on the day section of June in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2023 Calendar . If this device and Sage are meant to be one and the same, this would make her first ever official appearance May 10, 2022, two months before her trailer debut.
