The Limiter Rings are objects that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs. They are rings worn by Shadow the Hedgehog on each of his wrists and ankles. They are meant to limit Shadow's chaos energy. Their origins are unknown, although Shadow has worn them since his awakening following the Master Emerald incident.
Description
Appearance
The Limiter Rings look similar to Sonic's rings, but are sharper and have a cut in the middle of them. They also have a golden color to them.
History
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
When the Eclipse Cannon's core went into meltdown, threatening the Earth, Shadow removed his Limiter Rings while in his super form in order to push the cannon away from the Earth before it exploded. The rings fell to Earth and Shadow later retrieved them after surviving the blast.
