The Uutsubo [1] (ウーツボ[2] , Ūtsubo ? is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog seriesBadnik created by Dr. Eggman .
The Uutsubos resemble moray eels. They are segmented, come out of hatches, and are golden in color.
The Uutsubos only appear in Ocean Base . In gameplay, the Uutsubos lack any usage of a conventional weapon to attack the playable characters with. Instead, they reside in holes located on some walls and the floor, and will pop their head out to surprise attack the playable character when they approach their holes. Once they pop out of their holes however, the Uutsubos' heads will be vulnerable to an attack from the playable character. Uutsubos will respawn over time.
Both the Uutsubo's name and look are similar to Utsubo from Sonic Lost World Uutsubo's name is also derived from utsubo , meaning "moray".
