Maki (マキ, also read as 摩希) is a Fu-Ma ninja. She's one of the Heads of the Yasunobe faction.[2][3]
Background
Unlike many of the Yasunobe, Maki does not abuse the authority granted to her by Toki. Most of her subordinates have similar attitudes, but all have sworn oaths of complete loyalty to the clan leader. Even now that Toki has been driven mad by Mekki-Maru, those who disobey him are shown no mercy. Maki is adept at both seduction and the martial arts, and the needles she uses as weapons bring certain death to her prey. She views Isurugi with suspicion.[2][3]
After Taki was declared as an outcast, Geki left in pursuit of her. Toki, worried that a rebellion could occur without his right-hand man there to defend him, recalled Isurugi and Maki and ordered them to keep a strict guard on the village. Subordinates under the pair kept an eye on other clan members while using what resources they could spare to locate Taki.[2][4]
Soulcalibur Legends
In the original timeline, Maki appears as a boss character in Soulcalibur Legends. She is the counterpart of Geki, and she fights alongside him during his second and third battles. After coming in contact with a shard of Soul Edge, she and Geki became Malfested Guardians. She wields a red staff with a mace-like object at each end. As a Malfested she appears with purple skin, pointed ears, while her right leg resembles Nightmare's mutated arm.
Battle
Maki always battles alongside Geki, so she is a tough opponent due to the amount of attacks performed by her and her counterpart.
She uses a Bo Staff just like Kilik, and her attacks resemble his attacks. She can create tornadoes to protect her and send them to the enemy. By the time the player takes the first attack, it's very easy to take the two later, so the player must always run through the arena to avoid the tornadoes.
