Žak Derida

Žak Derida (fr. Jacques Derrida; 15. jul 1930 — Pariz, 9. oktobar 2004) je bio francuski filozof, odgovoran za nastanak dekonstruktivizma i jedna od figura lider postmodernističkog pokreta.

Uz Deridu se pre svega vezuje pojam dekonstrukcije metafizike. On smatra da je činjenica da se posle predsokratovaca u filozofiji i u svetu sve bitno objašnjavalo metafizikom, što je dovelo do zaborava bića. U delu O gramatologiji (disciplini koja ne postoji ali koju on proklamuje) Derida se vraća ne samo do predsokratovaca nego i do samih početaka ljudskog sporazumevanja. Postmodernistička filozofska misao pokušava ići mnogo dalje od moderne, razotkrivajući nestabilnost i aporije u tradiciji zapadne filozofske misli, počev od Dekarta pa sve do današnjice. Te aporije su često vezane za onto-teologiju, termin koji je dao Hajdeger jednoj formi filozofske misli o »onome istinskom« koja se sastoji, na kraju krajeva od koncepta postojanja »Boga«.
