Rat u Iraku
Rat u Iraku (ili Treći zalivski rat) počeo je 20. marta 2003. i trajao do 15. decembra 2011. godine. Deli se na dve faze:
- Invazija na Irak, koja je trajala od 20. marta do 1. maja 2003. To je bio sukob između angloameričke invazione vojske i vojske režima Sadama Huseina.
- Okupacija Iraka, odnosno razdoblje tzv. iračke insurekcije (nakon završetka invazije), u kom se bore američke i okupacione snage drugih zemalja, zajedno sa novom iračkom vojskom, protiv raznih frakcija iračkih pobunjenika i stranih terorista, članova Al Kaide.

Američki kodni naziv za napad na Irak i okupaciju koja je usledila je operacija Iračka sloboda (engl. Operation Iraqi Freedom), za britansku vojsku operacija Telik (engl. Operation Telic) i za australijsku operacija Falkoner (engl. Operation Falconer).
Žrtve
urediU vojnom angažmanu nakon proglašenja kraja većih borbenih operacija (do marta 2008) poginulo je 16.623 iračkih vojnika[41], 4.794 koalicionih vojnika[13][42] od toga 4.476 američkih[43] i 179 britanskih[44]).
