The Deymasollians were a sentient species[1] native to[3] the Colonies celestial body Deymasoll.[2] They had two arms with delicate fingers and two legs—both limb pairs being relatively short[1]—and a large mouth and prominent lower jaw.[4] The Deymasollians had tan skin, dark eyes, and a coat of white fur. All Deymasollians had keen memory,[1] and members of the species' society identified as belonging to at least one—female—gender.[4]

Faddaff Davenspon was a Deymasollian who was born[1] around 265 BBY. By 35 ABY,[5] she had led a long, well-traveled life and had become an outlaw tech-for-hire specializing in starship systems, with her fingers being well-scaled for precision technology work. Davenspon had spent many winters on the Mid Rim Territories planet Kijimi, which resulted in her fur having grown thicker,[1] and at one point in 35 ABY,[5] the Deymasollian was present at Kijimi City's Spice Runners' Den.[6]

Behind the scenes

The Deymasollian species first appeared in[6] the 2019 sequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.[7] Concept art of the Deymasollian Faddaff Davenspon was created for the film by creature concept designer and senior sculptor Louis Wiltshire,[8] and the character was portrayed by[9] creature and droid puppeteer Barbara Fadden.[6] The species was identified by name in the film's accompanying reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
