In 3 ABY, drone vessel 171 was part of a convoy of Imperial drone freighters en route to the Kuat Drive Yards with a cargo of hyperdrive components. When Rebel spies learned of this convoy, the Alliance mounted a daring mission to steal the hyperdrive components and captured the vessel.
