Fodesinbeed Annodue was a two-headed Troig able to commentate in two languages simultaneously: Fode (the thinner, red head) in Basic and Beed (the larger, green head) in Huttese.
Biography
It's Skywalker! The crowds are going nuts!Fodesinbeed Annodue
The Troig commentated on most podraces, including the fateful Boonta Eve Classic while serving Jabba the Hutt. Fodesinbeed later performed at other events, notably on Malastare. They started a show called the Fode and Beed Show.[4]
Behind the scenes
Fode and Beed first made their appearance in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, and appeared in subsequent media related to The Phantom Menace and podracing. They were portrayed by comedians Greg Proops and Scott Capurro respectively. During pre-production, attempts were made to have them appear in make-up with the rest of their bodies covered in blue suits for compositing later. Ultimately the marriage of their live-action performances with CGI was not realistic enough, and the character became fully computer generated. At that point, the color scheme used on Beed and Fode was reversed. The first Fode and Beed action figure represents the way Fode and Beed would have appeared if the original actors' faces in make-up had been used.
