Space Station 77
This is part of the Space Mountain attraction backstory but is in no way related to the story of Hyperspace Mountain. It's not mentioned in any of the audio nor does it appear in any of the visuals that are switched over during the overlay. It technically appears on a poster in the queue just because the entire overlay is designed to be turned on with the metaphorical flip of a switch without needing to install anything. We wouldn't consider any of the other Space Mountain queue props or backstory elements as part of the story of Hyperspace Mountain, so this should be no different. - I personally don't even think a redirect is a good idea, as it implies that this topic is related to the overlay, which it isn't. Master Fredcerique (talk) (he/him) 03:23, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Redirect to Hyperspace Mountain
Comments
I am not that familiar with the Space Mountain backstory so I was wondering if you could inform me if Space Station 77 was a name in the Space Mountain backstory before the Hyperspace Mountain overlay was even thought of? The reason why I am against deleting it is because the number 77 is used in the name of the 77 Squadron which is based there in the overlay. Did the specific name “Space Station 77” exist before Hyperspace Mountain? Or did the space station have a different name before the overlay?Drour1234 (talk) 10:06, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- Looking at Wikipedia, and File:SpaceStation77.jpg has been there since 2007, way predating Hyperspace Mountain. Rsand 30 (talk) 11:40, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- From what I can see, it's been a part of Space Mountain since at least the 2003-2005 refurbishment in preparation for the Disneyland 50th Anniversary celebration. Master Fredcerique (talk) (he/him) 20:18, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- Perhaps the Space Station 77 page could be moved to an unidentified space station (New Republic) page or an unidentified space station (Hyperspace Mountain) page? Maybe perhaps a {{

}} tag can be put on the Space Station 77 page instead? Regardless however, I do not believe that the page should be deleted.Drour1234 (talk) 21:05, 14 September 2023 (UTC)- The space station does not exist in the Star Wars universe, so it shouldn't get an article. I even checked the official show documentation for Hyperspace, and nothing. Master Fredcerique (talk) (he/him) 05:20, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- I believe that some page should exist for the New Republic base that the 77 Squadron travelled to Jakku from. In addition, part of the reason I believe that Space Station 77 exists in both universes is because the name of the 77 Squadron seems to be in resemblance to the name of Space Station 77. With all that being said however, I understand your point about the name Space Station 77. Thus, I would like to propose that a potential solution could be to move the Space Station 77 page to an unidentified space station (New Republic) page or an unidentified space station (Hyperspace Mountain) page.Drour1234 (talk) 21:06, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
