An Evereni male was the sire of the Evereni girl Marda Ro. Between around 397 BBY and 387 BBY, the sire, Marda, and her mother lived on the Expansion Region planet Genetia along with Marda's cousin Yana Ro, her mother and sire, and the cousin's grandparents.
During this time, the family was attacked by townspeople. Marda's sire ferociously fought to ensure that the two cousins and their mothers could escape from Genetia. In 382 BBY, while the cousins were members of the Path of the Open Hand cult, Yana recalled the actions of Marda's sire, though she knew her cousin did not remember.
Biography
An Evereni male lived during the High Republic Era.[1] Around 397 BBY,[2] they—along with an Evereni female—sired an Evereni daughter called Marda Ro.[1] Between around 397 BBY and 387 BBY,[2] the three lived on[1] the Expansion Region[3] planet[4] Genetia along with Marda's cousin Yana Ro, her mother and sire, as well as the cousin's grandparents.[1]
During this time,[2] when Marda and Yana were a very young age,[5] townspeople who believed the family were the cause of failing crops attacked them. The attack resulted in the deaths of the grandparents, as well as Yana's sire. To ensure Marda, Yana, and both of their mothers could escape Genetia, Marda's sire viciously fought the townspeople. After the mothers killed a family of Theelins and took their ship, the four left the planet.[1]
The cousins eventually traveled to the Outer Rim planet Dalna[1] as refugees[6] and joined the Path of the Open Hand cult. Yana remembered their last night on Genetia, though knew what Marda remembered was scattered and nonsensical.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] when she and Marda discussed her plans to leave the Path, Yana mentally recalled the attack on her family. She also noted that while she did remember Marda's sire's actions, her cousin did not.[1]

Marda Ro's sire was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[7]
