Sometime before the plot to assassinate Senator Amidala, Jango Fett, his son Boba Fett, and three other bounty hunters went on a Mission to Ord Mantell to capture a runaway Twi'lek who was trying to join the Black Sun on the planet Ord Mantell. After apprehending her, the bounty hunters Rinn and Tiver betrayed the Fetts to take the bounty for themselves. Boba killed the pair and let the final bounty hunter run away without his pay to tell the other bounty hunters. Thus, Jango viewed the mission as the beginning of Boba's legacy.
